who ever said the lion was the king of the jungle when a lion does not roam in our domain. the jungle is home to many things but one is unknown to man. that one thing being the werecats, a special few who can shapeshift into black panther. there are a gifted few who live among the mundane here. civilization is a mere two miles from the jungle, though many come to explore and camp, usually scared out of there wits by the supposed 'jungle demon' before morning. they tend to enjoy scaring people. currently, there are four located within the secluded jungle that call it there home. some have made the jungle their safe haven and they have no choice but to deal with those that stay or just pass through. mixing with mundanes are against the laws of the jungle. they are the protectors of the land, keeping all with ill intentions out. so what happens when four friends go camping and stumble upon the four? will they live to tell? let's wait and see

at first glance she was the good girl, now this girl is your worst nightmare. she does not enjoy being around people, she's hateful and wants nothing to do with mundanes. her temper is show and she loves to cause havoc and destruction when the mundane are involved. she's selfish, no longer caring about others but yet, deep down, that's not the reason. she hates herself just as much as she hates everyone else, though she won't admit that to anyone. the best thing to do is keep your head down around her to avoid getting snapped at.

ah. the rebel. that's pretty much him in a nutshell. he's constantly sarcastic and not keen on authority. he has an amazing sense of time and is almost never late. if he isn't directly needed though, he won't show up. he's flirty and overly dramatic at times though most of the time he acts like you're his best friend when he wants something. though he's that bad boy most parents tell their daughters to avoid, he isn't any real danger to anyone who isn't threatening him. this guy is nothing but a softie who loves to cuddle when you break past that rebellious attitude and his sarcasm.

this guy is quiet and usually on the shy side. he enjoys spending time with the group but he'd rather be alone. he's somewhat socially awkward though when it comes to strategies, he's a genius. do not underestimate him because he is extremely quick witted and has horribly blunt opinions. almost oblivious to his opinions being hurtful, he mostly likes giving advice when its needed. he's not afraid to speak up if something goes against what he believes in. he's the most intelligent of the group and usually the one to go to when you can't figure something out.

she's the one who decided to go on this trip. she loves adventures and taking risks. usually the girl bites off more than she can chew but she is extremely good at taking care of herself. she's quite the social butterfly and when it comes to calming people down, she tends to do it with ease. she has a tendency to downplay things though and when she's scared, she talks way too much. she enjoys a good adrenaline rush but she's no junky, even she has her limits. she tends to lack focus at times but she makes up for it with her knowledge.

at first, he was the 'perfect' child to his family. living outside the jungle, he met the trio and became friends. he's the newest member of the group and has been without a actual home for a little over two months. roaming from one friend's house to the next. his family isn't all that supportive of anything that they don't agree with him doing so he ran off and they seemed not to care. he's not really rebellious, he just wishes to be understood for once and be treated as a person rather than a dog on a tight leash.

this guy needs to come with a warning label. he goes through relationships like water and seems unaffected at the end of each one. truth be told, to him its all a game now, having been hurt before, he never allows anyone that close because he fears his heart being broken again. he pushes others away and is constantly flirting and trying to charm his way closer to someone just for fun. when some fall for it, he takes it and then leaves it when he gets bored. he can be quite arrogant at times but overall, he's really a nice guy.

located near to the equator, temperatures are always around the same, never really cold but also not extremely hot. there are plenty of water sources and fruits etc. dangers include poisonous snakes and frogs and sun bears. the water buffalo can be aggressive if you get too close. the main two predators are panthers and tigers, though the tigers are spanned out far enough that you shouldn't encounter them on the daily unless tracking one down. the four mundanes have two tents and are traveling through the jungle for fun. their trip should only have lasted three days but the map was destroyed early on and they are utterly lost in the jungle. its up to them to use resources and find their way out. they have a weeks worth of supplies so rations are the best choice but its totally up to the group. they have only spotted shadows of the shifters but haven't seen them clearly. the shifters live in the jungle in what most would call a tree house.

the rain from last night had the entire jungle wet and muddy for the most part. andrew was perfectly fine with it. it was spring and with spring came a lot of rain. the twenty two year old was soaked from head to toe, only dressed in a pair of shorts and nothing else. he hadn't slept inside the house like he normally did, having lost track of time that night and getting caught in the storm. this was pretty common for him so he doubted that anyone was overly worried over his absence. if they were, that was there fault for worrying, not his. addy stretched his arms and rolled his shoulders as he got rid of the stiff feeling and loosened his muscles up. shaking his head, he looked up at the tree tops and through them from what he could tell, was a clear blue sky.

the sound of rushing water finally reached his ears, indicating that he had finally reached his destination. the river was wide but not too hard to cross unless you were a horrible swimmer. he was about a half mile from the house now, the only thing left now was to cross it. the one thing he was not looking forward to was the temperature of the water, which was usually cold despite the warm weather. looking at the body of water with disdain, he frowned before wading in and then going straight in with a dive where he knew the deep water started. within minutes he was on the other side and grumbling to himself, a shiver coming from him. "i swear i hate rivers." he muttered before he picked up a jog and the house came into view. from where he stood he could not tell if anyone was even there or better yet awake. scents mingled and it was pretty hard to tell what was new versus what was old and he was planning to figure that out. to him, that would be a waste of time. up the stairs he went, muttering under his breath the entire time. opening a door that was never locked, he walked inside and kicked it shut behind him. water dripped on the floor as he made his way across the hardwood and towards the bathroom to grab a towel. picking up the first one he saw, he began to dry himself off to the best of his ability, not really too concerned over the fact someone could slip and fall with the water he left on the floor.

maddison stood at the top a tree staring down at one of the small deer species that lived in the jungle. her claws dug into the branch she sat in, her pale eyes following the little animal. she walked along the branch stepping from branch to branch before finally returning to the lower branches, she moved ahead of the deer watching it for a moment longer. once it was close enough she gave a gentle growl, she always liked to let her prey know they were going to die before they did, giving it no chance to run she jumped, grabbing it by the neck. within a few minutes the deer died as she held it's throat shut blocking it's air flow. with her release the blood flowed out of it's throat and mouth, she grinned shifting and grabbing it's hind legs dragging the deer back to the house. she didn't much care for the mess she made on the stairs, or the floor. someone else could clean it up. if anyone said something about the blood or why there was now ad deer in the house, she'd simply come back at them and say it was her turn to hunt. course, she wouldn't eat it, she didn't like sharing, she'd go back out when she was hungry. in human form they tended to cook it, but usually they just shifted and ate. she didn't much care. she walked down the hall across the hall, stepping around the water that andrew had walked in with. pushing the door open into the bathroom, she had little care for what she sore when she entered. the washed her hands and turned around grabbing a towel. "clean up your mess lover boy" she muttered and walked back out back to the jungle. her names were only there to irritate, they didn't have to have anything to do with the person she spoke to. she'd noticed his absence, however hadn't cared too much, not like she was around much either, she came back maybe once or twice a week and the rest of the time she was out by herself.

she mumbled a few things before shifting back as she set foot back onto the muddy ground. she stepped through it avoiding where it was deep as she had no intentions of getting stuck. no, she moved towards her tree, it was but a few meters from the house. she jumped up and climbed to one of the top branches where she lay and watched carefully with her pale blue eyes.

there was never any privacy in this house, not that he cared much. he had been about to change his shorts when the door opened and in came maddison. the smell of blood followed her and he glanced down at her hands, she'd killed something which usually meant there was a trail of blood somewhere in the house. with a roll of his eyes he waited for her to finish up so he could get out of the wet shorts. it really didn't matter if she was there or not but this time around he had the common curtesy to wait. when her words reached his ears, a chuckle escaped him. "you're one to talk, darling." he said as she left the room. it was then he slipped out of the water soaked shorts and into a dry pair. he hung the towel and then left the bathroom and cleaned up not only his mess but also her's. it didn't take him long to find the poor animal that was subjected to Maddison's wrath. why she brought it inside he didn't know. the freezer was all but empty and he figured he'd use this opportunity to put meat in it for when they did decide to cook rather than just go hunting. dragging the deer put the back door, he hooked it up by its hind legs and began the process of skinning and gutting it before cutting slabs of meat off. when he was almost finished, his stomach began to growl and he frowned. he'd go out, maybe find someone to fool around with before he found some food. maybe sneak up on one of the girls and scare the daylights out of them. it was usually worth the pain they inflicted as a punishment.

putting all the meat up in the freezer in containers was simple enough and only took a few minutes. addy then plopped down in the living room on the couch and stretched out. propping his feet up on the arm rest, he put his hands behind his head and closed his eyes. a little nap wouldn't hurt anyone for the time being and it's not like he had much else to do for now. last night he'd checked on those four campers before he got caught up in the storm. they'd probably seen his shadow or maybe even him while he was in his panther form, though there was no harm in that.

her ears flicked for a moment and she removed a low growl, hearing a disturbance in the jungle she stood up and jumped to one of the closest branches and climbed through the jungle for about a while, following the sound of the voices. when she spotted the campers she relaxed, but grinned, keeping herself in the shadows she growled under her breath, loud enough for the campers of course to hear her, but not enough for them to distinctively pick where she was, even so, she moved after she growled. on the opposite side of the campers now she ran her tail through the branches above and growled again. she shifted again until she was laying on a branch, only if they looked extremely hard would they actually see her amongst the trees shadows.

it never occurred to the young woman just how much beauty there was in the world. from the morning light that glistened against the brilliant blue waves or how the dewdrops that collected on the large vividly green leaves that made up the jungle's canopy reflected off it's surroundings. despite being rather helplessly lost within the jungle, she never felt more at peace then she did right then. josephine sat not too far from the tents that sheltered her sleeping friends, as she had awoken quite early and didn't want to disturb her compainions slumber. she wore a maroon tank top paired with black shorts, barefoot on the sand. her long, wavy black hair was swept up into a messy bun, successfully keeping it out of her face. around her neck, a dlsr camera hung, already containing many photos of both the scenery and her friends.

the rain from the night before had left a sort of musky scent that seemed to stick to her, and she had fallen asleep listening to the soothing 'pitter patter' of the raindrops against the vinyl of the tents. joey had debated whether or not she should go back to the tents and wake her friends so that they could get a head start on trying to figure out how to get out of the jungle, but really didn't want them to become grumpy from being woken so early. with a small sigh, she merely picked up her camera and scrolled thought the pictures again.

eventually, she got rather bored just sitting there by herself and got up to explore. she didn't wander too far off, the tents were still in sight. what josephine really wanted to do was go further into the jungle to explore, though the idea was stalled by both her friends and what exactly lived in the jungle. she had been on her fair share of adventures in her life, but never in a place so... wild? how else was she to describe it.

a rustle in the canopy startled her, but also intrigued her to go closer. she knew it probably wasn't the most logical thing to do in the particular situation, but she was curious. taking quiet steps, she wandered a little closer to where she thought the sound came from, and studied the area intently, looking for any signs of wildlife. from the corner of her eye, she thought she saw something black move in a flash, but thought nothing of it at the time. seeing that nothing was there, she cleared the thought from her mind and continued on with taking pictures of the scenery and whatever little things she could find. the jungle was full of beautiful things.
