He kept jumping into the air to try and fly for dear life, but with how he was panicking and exhausted it didn't seem to be working. His heart was racing quickly as adrenaline rushed through him. He didn't want to be caught in case this hybrid was a domestic. Was it already time for him to be taken to the lab? Surely it couldn't be! Quick! Come on, I have to escape!

He heard the feminine voice next to him speak calmly, but even then it spooked him greatly. He attempted desperately to move away from her, but already she had gotten a hold on his wrist, stopping him in his tracks. Though when the bright rays of the sun was no longer shining on his face, he looked up to see that the stranger was holding her wing over him. Realization hit him, and he instantly knew that this hybrid was no domestic; She was just like him, a dome hybrid trying to make friends and just survive in general. He gradually calmed down, and he no longer looked frightened but was now smiling a little.

"S-sorry," The boy stuttered in a quiet tone as he tried avoiding eye contact, "I got really scared.. I thought you were going to hurt me, or take me back to the lab..." Jonny felt sorry for having misunderstood Ari, but he didn't blame her. He knew everyone was probably wary especially after being placed in a new area so suddenly. He just hoped she wouldn't feel offended from what he said.

Ari smiled as he seemed to have calmed down, she shook her head softly in disagreement when he said he thought she was a domestic "I think they are rounding up group one right now" she told him. Ari was in group six or seven. She could never remember but she always knew when she would be coming in and generally accepted the fact she was being tested on. Sure she ran and resisted but once she was in those handcuffs she was pretty easy to control.

"Have you found any water?" she then asked him, she thought asking the more important questions first would be a smart idea. They both were dome hybrids and they both were out of their element and exposed so introductions can wait till later. And from the way he acted there was no chance of him wanting to fight her, she could easily fly away or fight himself. But she really isn't one for violence.

It had finally come to her realization of how dumb of a question she asked. If he had found water he would be where the water was, not out in the open probably miles from any sort of water. She let out a soft sigh and shook her head "Never mind, forget that i even asked that" she said softly with a disappointed look on her face

Rounding up group one? Why would they do that when they practically just got to this new area? Oh well, he guessed they just wanted to get back to testing as soon as possible. But that also meant that after they were done with group one, they'd be taking in group two next, which meant he would be taken to the lab too. He shivered slightly at the thought but forced himself to not whimper and instead keep the smile on his face.

He finally focused on Ari's face with his bright reddish eyes instead of avoiding eye contact, seeming curious about the hybrid that he had just now met. It had been a while since he saw someone, but now he finally found another dome hybrid, and it was even better with the fact that she also had wings. Maybe now they would have an even greater chance at surviving with the two of them working together!

It didn't occur to him that she had asked if he found any water, but by the time he realized that and tried to answer her with a "no", she had already told him to just forget the question as if she had never said it. He rubbed his face with the back of his hand to try and get rid of some of the sweat on his forehead, then he decided to suggest something to her, "Maybe we could team up to find some water? It would be a lot better than going alone."

Gwen took a good long drink from the cactus, enjoying the clear taste of the fresh water. It's coolness washed over, relaxing her and she wanted to lay down, but she needed to find shelter. With a sigh, the girl moved on, heading towards a rocky outcropping in hopes no one was already there. If it was an animals, she would fight it for a home, but she wasn't going to chase another hybrid out of their safe place. They were all in the same boat and they needed to looks out for each other.

Willow was relaxing underneath the shade of cliff side. Her eyes were closed and her tail was still. The only sign she wasn't asleep, was the occasional growl at the passing wildlife. She let out a yawn and rolled onto her side, stretching out her wings and letting her dark red hair fall in her face. It was nice, but she needed to get up soon and search for Riann. She hadn't seen her friend sense they entered the new done and that worried her.

Ferro had found the outcropping a short while ago and he had holed himself up in it. The dead rabbit he had chased down is sitting on the metallic feathers of his left wing, slowly roasting from his body heat. In the deserts the days are scorching hot and the nights freezing cold, so Ferro is thankful for his ability to withstand and create his own heat, it certaintly simplifies things. He picks the rabbit up off his wing and ruffles his feathers up, their edges hitting each other with a rustling noise akin to scales. Ferro had just bitten into the rabbit when a hybrid girl crawls into the little cave in the outcropping, the two freezing when they see each other. "I'm Ferro, hungry?" He asks, holding out the rabbit. If it was his turn to be brought in for testing than he would have suspected her of being a domestic, but as it is he's fairly relaxed. If she does attack him, he'll probably just slap her with the rabbit.

Ari nodded in agreement "Yeah, okay" she told him in agreement. Her eyes then wandered to the wings on his back. She outstretched her arm and softly grabbed the top of his wing and opened his wing up to look at them. She was assuming he was relaxed and if she were to be fragile with is wing he wouldn't mind her taking look.

They are a beautiful white color, like angel wings. They were so clean and pure. Then you have Ari with her black and red wings, basically the devil's wings. "Do you know what kind of bird gave you these wings?" she asked him and moved her hand from his wing and back to her side. Her other hand was still blocking the sun along with her own wing giving the younger boy some shade as well.

"I'm Ari by the way" She added with a smile and looked away from his wing and at him. If they were to be going to search for water together they might as well know each others name.

Jonny's smiled immediately turned into a grin after hearing Ari's response. He was glad to have someone to help him out here in the cruel hot desert! Though to be honest, he sort of missed that one girl he met at the old dome in the forest. He wanted to become great friends with her, but he didn't know if she was here in this new place too or if she was gone. Wherever she was, he hoped she was free from the scientists and their crazy experiments, free from the dome.

He flinched when she unexpectantly grabbed the tip of his soft white wing and extended it outward to the side. He could see that she was simply observing the fine feathers he had, and then he looked at her own wings. They were black, with red on them as well. Almost like a fire in the night sky, the colors vibrant and loud, yet calming at the same time. He folded his wing back as soon as she released it, and upon hearing her voice he happily replied with an answer to her question, "I think it was a dove." He seemed almost prideful, as if it was an honor to have the DNA of a dove mixed with him, but honestly he was just cheerful like he normally is most of the time.

"And what a nice name.. Ari." He paused for a moment, thinking about her name, and then he continued, "My name is Jonny. It's nice to meet you!"

'a dove, that's pretty and peaceful' staring at his white wings were almost calming in a way. "Thank you" Ari said with a smile when he complimented her name. 'Jonny, i can't forget that' she told herself when he introduced himself. She can't be her forgetful self and forget his name, it would be rude to ask for his name later on

"It's nice to meet you too" She said with a smile and moved her hand down to her side, it was beginning to hurt from holding it there so long that by now she would be fine with the sun. "Where do you think we should head first?" she asked him and looked around them to see if anyway direction seems like a good decision to go. They both would be going in the dark on this, neither of them knew where water was so it might be best if they headed off in a random direction. "if you'd like i can fly up and scout out the area" she suggested.

From his previous flee from when she had startled him it seemed like he couldn't fly very well, But that might just be because he was scared. His wings did seemed smaller so maybe they weren't growing and neither was he. So it might be best for her to fly up to see if she can spot anything.

"No problem." He simply nodded in response to her "thank you," and then he immediately started looking around at their surroundings. Where did he think they should go? That was a rather difficult question... All there was all around them was sand, sky, and the occasional cactus and other small shrubs that dotted the landscape. He looked to the north, and then pointed that way. "I guess this way?" He tilted his head slightly in confusion, and he hoped that he was right. "I'm not sure, but all we can really do is guess right now. And sure, I guess I'll stay here.. but don't take too long please!"

He sighed in exhaustion and sat down onto the hot sand, picking up some of it with his left hand. He watched as the small particles just poured through the spaces in his fingers and fell back onto the ground, and then he flopped over onto his back and extended his wings.

Ari nodded softly and extended her other wing out, looking up into the sky she jumped up off the ground and flapped her wings to raised herself up off the ground a little further. After she was balanced in the air she gave her wings a couple powerful down strokes to fly straight up into the sky. As she continued to descend into the sky she looked around but no sign of water. Maybe if she saw a lot of vegetation that would lead them to the water since plants need water to survive.

She was bout twenty five feet into the air and hovered there as she looked around to see if there was anything to let her know if water was nearby. But there really was nothing, maybe heading north would be best for them. Maybe they could fly to one of the mountains that surrounded the desert. There most likely won't be water by them but it would have enough vegetation to maybe help with the shelter. But right now water was most important, water can wait.

She flew around to face the other way, and her eyes rested on what seemed to be water in the distance. She wasn't sure if it was her mind messing with her, it was moist looking. The water wasn't blue like it was in the forest but a brown muddy color just darker than the sand.

She looked back down at Jonny, he was now laying down on the ground with his wings spread out. She dove down to reach the desert ground, she landed on her feet a little hard so her feet hurt from the impact but she was more excited about her discovery. "I think i found water !" she said and reached down to grab Jonny's wrist and pull him up off of the ground "Think you're up to flying there?"
