Seeing - to really see - now, wouldn't that be something? In this land of the antique and the modern, everybody
has but one thing in common: sight. Or, lack of sight, rather. Every soul was forced upon existence utterly blind,
both physically and emotionally. Voices and remembrance were the only factors of knowing what couldn't be seen.
Ah, eyes. Such a glorious, heavenly attribute awarded to a human being. Coming in a variety of shades and tints -
blue, green, brown, hazel, silver - the eyes of a human were indeed considered windows to the hidden soul.
But these souls are tainted black and white. Without sight, there is no knowing the world; without
knowing the world, there is no dreaming; without dreaming, there is no color.
Not all dreamers are dead, however. A clever company, built up of both the aged and the youth, has removed
the shade that clouded their vision. Almost magically, these few people have had their eyes opened
to the world of color. Vision was quite blurry at first, and objects appeared in shades. This, of course,
was related to the fact that these few beings were truly opening their eyes for the first time.
And what a beautiful, deadly gift - to rediscover every face, beauty, and color for the first time.
