The warmth of the morning sun unraveled in my room as it peeked it's way through the spaces in the blinds. My eyes slowly fluttered open in beat with an oncoming yawn. A good morning stretch put an end to my aching muscles as I hopped out of my bed. It was another glorious day in what still seems like a dream to me. I was the daughter of Claire and Owen Grady, the owners of Jurassic World. The sound of a variety of different dinosaurs lullabies me to sleep every night. In a flash I got on some casual clothes which included a simple blue t-shirt with a grey jacket and some ripped blue jeans. It was still the {censored} crack of dawn by the time I yanked out the tangles in my dark coppery brown hair.
Since both my parents disapproved me hanging around the velociraptor enclosure I found myself sneaking out to see them several times a day. Today was no different, except I wasn't planning for them to be having a meeting with the entire staff before the park opens. Hopefully they wouldn't notice me on the security cameras. It would be fairly noticeable since the park was nearly empty. A few of the workers stayed to maintain the park when it opened. Getting out of my house was the easy part; now getting to the velociraptor exhibit was another story. I could always take the motorcycle my father gave me for my seventeenth birthday, but it might catch attention. Guess I'm taking the extra jeep my mother had sitting around for emergency use only. Without another thought I started the engine with the spare key hidden under a fake rock near the tire of it. When I was twelve my father taught me the basics of driving and by the age of thirteen I could drive on my own. Although I don't have a licenses I think it'll be fine since there isn't really a place here where I can take my driving test. Plus I deal with dinosaurs everyday, I think I can handle driving by myself. Carefully and cautiously I followed the narrow dirt trail that traveled all over the park in different channels. I had memorized the entire trail system at the age of eight making it easy for me to head over to the velociraptors.
I killed the engine to the jeep just before I arrived at the enclosure and pulled off to the side so I wasn't blocking anyone's way on the trail. Trying to be as stealthy and ninja-like as I could I sneaked over to the enclosure of my all time favorite dinosaur, the velociraptors. "Hey guys!" I called out as I climbed up the stairs to look at them overhead. There were four in total and one was the offspring of my father's most trusted velociraptor, Blue. It's been a total of five years since Blue passed away due to old age. Therefore her only child to survive was named Blue jr and now is the alpha of the pack. The pack instantly jumped up from their slumber once they heard my familiar voice. "How are you all doing?" I asked with a smirk on my face as they playfully nudged and snapped at each other as they gazed up at me.

I was not a morning person. Not at all. However, somehow I had to force through the exhaustion and get myself up out of bed once the annoying beeping alarm went off. A few bellows and roars also erupted outside my window, but they came from quite a distance away. Smashing my hand on the top of the alarm clock a few times until it finally stopped I groaned out loud, not wanting to get up at all. There was this so called meeting pretty much all the employees had to attend. It was suppose to begin at 6:30am, before any of the park attractions opened up. I for one was not looking forward to sitting in a meeting for an hour and a half. Honestly, I didn't even know what the meeting was for.
Quickly I hopped in the blazing hot shower which caused my skin to turn bright red, but it felt oh so good. I wrapped a towel around my waist and made my way downstairs to the kitchen area to get some breakfast before I headed back to my room to get on my uniform. Scrummaging through the fridge I then located an apple figuring it would have to do. Taking a fairly large bite out of the juicy fruit I headed back upstairs to my room. Setting my half-eaten apple on my nightstand I rummaged through my closet searching for the right attire to wear. After the meeting I had to stop over to the spinosaurus exhibit to do more studies. I settled with some khaki pants and a forest green t-shirt with the jurassic world logo on the back, but the final touch would most definitely have to be my cargo boots. Now I was ready to head off to this meeting. I didn't even both to brush my still slightly damp hair. It just sat on my head in a deranged mess, but I could really care less. Before I knew it I was in the meeting room with a cup of coffee and a few cookies they set out on the snack table.
Crack. Shake. Crack. It was time I break free of this confined space and start living in a whole new world. I wiggled around desperately trying to find a weak spot in the egg shell. It was far thicker than a typical dinosaur egg making it seem almost rock-like to anyone who didn't know about Indominus Rex eggs. Clawing at the inner part of the shell I finally found a weak spot. Taking advantage of my find I slammed my egg tooth against the soft spot a few times before I broke through. I wasn't out of the woods yet though. Desperate to get out of the small space I tore some more egg pieces off letting more fresh air and bright sunlight to greet me. The sun was almost blinding it was so bright, but it didn't take long for my retinas to adjust to the new surroundings. This was a very strange experience.
I made a hole in the egg large enough for me to be able to squeeze out into the strange, yet alluring new world. Crawling out on all fours I stumbled to get on only two feet. It all hit me as soon as I crawled out of the egg. The intensely fresh air, the both blinding and burning sunlight, the strange smells, everything was a bit overwhelming to saw the least. Shaking my head slightly I quickly adapted to the new environment and noticed large gaping foliage all around. My eyes soon shifted over to five my rock-like eggs ranging from greys, light greens, and a strange white. I assume the colors of the eggs were for camouflage purposes and keeping us safe. Instincts took over and I leaped on top of one of the eggs. I had this sudden instinct to attack the other eggs, to be the superior one.
