Aurora glanced around the group of people she'd have to become aquantainced with. They all seemed to be getting along well enough. At least some of them did. A couple had broken off and were talking among themselves as their Pokemon mingled. Should I be doing that too? Aurora asked herself, glancing up towards her Garchomp. He was not the friend making type. He didn't like newcomers very well. He had a hard time trusting strangers. And besides, he was far too serious. Void was too aggressive and moody. One second he'd be happily making friends and the next he'd be causing massive whirlwinds with his wings and going in a frenzied panic. And her Espeon...well. She was sort of a loner. She could mingle, depending on the Pokemon. But she's so mysterious and quiet that others don't seem to click well with her. Guess it's up to me to make friends... She watched as Haruka announced that they were going to start the journey.

"Alright Slade. You should probably go in your pokeball for a bit. I don't want to tire you out yet." She said, watching as the red beam of light sucked him back into the ball. He was powerful in battle and incredibly protective of Aurora, but traveling was hard on him. He's so large that walking long distances sometimes took more out of him than battling.

Aurora shuffled her way around the others, making her way up towards Haruka. "Um hey," She said quietly, shoving her hands into the back pockets of her jeans, "Since me and you are probably going to be working together a lot - uh, strategy-wise I guess - I figured it wouldn't hurt to discuss maybe some battle-plans for when we get to team Nova? And to maybe get to know each other a little bette--"

A flash of red light popped out of Aurora's side as her Espeon took form in front of her. "Paradox!? What do you want? You can't just go popping out of your pokeball whenever you want." Aurora scolded, face flushing red, "Especially when we get to Team Nova's base, it could be dangerous for you."

The tiny lavender Pokemon narrowed it's big violet eyes up at Aurora before flicking her ears, "...'Speon..." was all she muttered before falling in step beside Aurora.

She huffed, "Slade set you up to this didn't he? That overprotective hunk of scales. Fine."

Aurora turned her attention back towards Haruka, rubbing the back of her neck, "Uh yeah...sorry. This is Paradox, my Espeon. She can be a tad...strange."

The dark haired trainer kept a steady pace as he walked into the forest and began walking through it. He kept an eye out for any kind of pokemon which could be potentially dangerous, but only because they may be passing through their territory. The last thing Haruka wanted to do was find himself running from a group of wild pokemon just because he stupidly disturbed their slumber or something. It wasn't that Luca couldn't take a wild pokemon so much that it was he didn't want to endanger the others because of any poor action he made.

Haru was being fairly quiet so far, not making so much as a sound as he walked, though he did let out a small cough once or twice. Luca was listening to the nature and keeping his guard up just as Haru was. Anyone would be able to tell perfectly that these two were best friends and partners by how they acted, and by how they were always together no matter what the circumstance was. Luca was the one to notice Aurora come up beside them and he let Haru know by tugging gently on his sleeve. Haru looked down at Luca with a questioning look on his face but that look quickly faded once he realized that Aurora was standing beside him.

He gave the blue haired girl a soft, yet bright smile as she greeted him, though her greeting was pretty quiet and almost nervous. He titled his head to the side as she asked if they would need to discuss battle plans for when they came face to face with Team Nova. To be honest, Haru had yet to think about that kind of thing. Right now all he wanted was to get to the next town and find himself in the comfort of a warm hotel room, accompanied by his best pals, his pokemon. However, being the leader of the group and all he would soon enough have to start thinking about something others than sleep.

He was about to respond to her when he saw a flash of red come from her side, eventually seeing that it was none other than an espeon. He couldn't help but smile at the small sun pokemon as she was scolded for popping out. He let out a small chuckle as the purple colored pokemon almost talked back to Aurora in response. He was amused by their short bantering but tried to hide it as best as he could. He put up his hands and said "No no it's alright, no need to apologize. Chi does that to me sometimes as well so i can relate." He then looked forwards so he didn't run into anything before saying "Now, about those battle plans."

"I really haven't put too much thought into it sadly, i know i should have though. Being the leader of the group i need to get my head in the game and start worrying about when we come across Team Nova and what we will do. I really do think, just thinking about plans now, that we should find some way to combine our pokemon's moves with each others pokemon, saying groups of two pokemon, so that we can create a larger impact when battling them. For example, say Luca and your Garchomp were a team. We could find a way to combine aura sphere or even dragon pulse with a move of Garchomps. Do you see what i'm saying? I think that by combining moves then we will be able to create twice the damage."

As he spoke his eyes wandered over to Damon who was being kind of quiet. As he stopped speaking about battle strategies for a moment he spoke up to Damon saying "Hey Damon, could you help us out in figuring out battling strategies? I think i may have an idea, but the more ideas the better!" The Houndoom he had was most likely very powerful so even combining Luca's moves with the dark pokemon may serve as a powerful combination.

As Damon walked with Houndoom, he tuned in to Haruka's and Aurora's conversation about battle plans. If they come across Team Nova unprepared, they might not do so well. He did not want Team Nova to take Styx from him. Even if they did, he doubted that Styx would obey them. He would fight to get back to his trainer. He snapped out of his little daydream when Haruka addressed him. Lifting his head, he gazed over at the leader of the group. He was a bit surprised when the male suggested that he helped them discuss battle plans. "Sure, I can help." He responded, picking up his pace to walk on Haruka's other side. "You said something about combining the Pokemon? A double battle?" He asked, lifting an eyebrow. He thought it was a good idea to fight with one other person. He liked a good double battle. He was sure that Styx would like to double battle with another Pokemon too. The houndoom did a double battle with his two other Pokemon, but he knew that the canine like Pokemon would be eager to do a double battle with a Pokemon that he did not know. Plus it would be a good way to bring their little team together.

Trailing quietly a few feet behind Hakura and their now assigned deputy, Auroa, Drayton walked with his hooded covered head down and hands shoved into his pockets. His pitch black cloak flowed slightly behind him as the wind blew gently throughout the forest. Overhead the lad could pick up the sounds of the tree branches gingerly rustling before the sound paused for a few moments before another tree rustled a few paces away. Lifting his head up Drayton caught a glimpse of his Gallade leaping from tree branch to tree branch with stealth and agility. He knew what his partner was doing already as Arterious was very protective over those he considered family and it appears he was viewing the new group as that. Thus he was taking his self proclaimed role as guardian seriously and scouting for any threats from somewhat above. Drayton chuckled lightly under his breath as he watched the pokemon leap to another tree and go still on a thick branch, body tense as the Gallade looked ahead until he was satisfied there was nothing dangerous and continued jumping through the trees. Returning his gaze ahead of himself the lad sighed and tilted his head back to gaze up at the sky and the slight canopy the forest had going on. He briefly closed his bright amber eyes and exhaled out through his nose, making sure to keep his pace the same so he didn't abruptly bump into anybody. That was the last thing he needed at the moment. Drayton wasn't exactly use to physical contact besides with his pokemon and he didn't want to dwell within an awkward situation.

Shaking his head to himself Drayton opened his eyes and brought his head back down when he heard Hakura and Aurora beginning to discuss battle strategies. It was a smart idea indeed to be thinking ahead in case they encountered Team Nova early. Better to be prepared than caught by surprise. Hearing Hakura bring Damon into the conversation and the basis of it revolving around double battling the lad found himself cocking his head to the side in a curious matter. When he thought on it the combinations reminded him of the contest battles back home at Sinnoh. Drayton took part in a few of them, but only for Nirvana as the Togekiss was memorized the first time she watched a contest battle. After he saw the look on her face he knew what he had to do and he trained with his team to take part. Placing his hollow gaze back onto the three trainers Drayton decided to give them a little nudge and called out to them in his deep and chilling voice. "If it's combination moves you're looking for perhaps you should discuss it with a few of the contest coordinators within the group. They do have experience." Adding in a little shrug of his shoulders after his sentence Drayton kept his eyes on the three, only averting his gaze when Arterious dropped down beside him and kept pace with the lad.

"Michiko, but you can just call me Michi.", she replied with a smile. Behind the smile though, a single thought ran through her mind. 'Great, so this is what happens when I don't bring Pidgeotto. Another naughty and arrogant bird pokemon decides to step in for him' When she next looked over to the rest of the group, they were already heading for the forest. She held the door open for Renegade before catching up with the group. All of a sudden, she heard the leaders of the group chatting about battle strategy.

"Did someone say battle strategy by any chance?", she blurted out as she caught up. The trainer paused as she tuned into what they had just said. Something about double battles? "I've done double battles before, too. Some of mine don't always work well with others, but some of them would be glad to work with someone." She looked over her pokemon. Shimama really wasn't a team player. Monozu would take a bit of persuading, most likely a bribe of macarons. Kangaskhan, however, was one of her best team players.

renegade nodded lightly as michi responded. "it's nice to meet you." she responded lightly. she then shifted her attention away for a brief moment as she noticed the other beginning to return their pokemon to their homes- inside the pokeballs. a few others were already beginning to move outside. i guess it's time to go. she thought, glancing over to hakai to make sure he knew it was time to go as well. of course, the pidgeot had taken notice before her, as she noticed the large bird was already moving towards the door. biting the tip of her tongue, she quickly followed after him, thanking michi for holding the door open as she headed outside, catching up with the rest of the group.

the group seemed to be conversing about battle strategies, primarily double battles. once again, renegade glanced towards hakai, whom was now gliding above her. the bird pokemon might not be willing to cooperate much in a battle where he had a teammate, though she had done it once before with him and namaiki. boy, that was a struggle. though eventually, the two worked out somewhat of a combination that worked wonderfully in the end.

"i know my pokemon might be willing to work with others, if a double battle is a strategy we will need to use. i'm renegade by the way, apologies for not introducing myself earlier." she spoke up. though she hadn't spoken to any of the group members yet, it seemed like a good time. and besides, she needed to get to know everyone else. the only person she slightly knew was michi. the others? she didn't even know their names yet.

Aurora felt her face go warm again when Haruka smiled at her. He probably thinks your annoying. She thought, chewing the inside of her cheek. Most of these people probably do. They must be questioning my ability to lead. I'm even questioning my own abilities! But for some reason when Haruka admitted that he had no exact plans thought out either, she relaxed a bit. She knew deep down that everyone was just like her. A little scared, most likely, and a tad confused. Here they all were, on their way to face one of the strongest groups of bad-guys in the region. And they were mainly just a bunch of kids! But suddenly, she felt a slow warm bubble of confidence blossom inside her chest. Sometimes "kids" could be the most creative and intuitive. And they could definitely be more in sync with their Pokemon than some adults.

Aurora glanced over towards Damon as he offered up the idea of double-battling. Not a bad plan. Aurora knew that her Pokemon could work well together. Aurora had made sure that the three Pokemon she did decide to bring with her got along well together. Unlike her Gyarados and her Noivern who were constantly blowing things up, these three got together well enough. She just wasn't sure how well they'd get together with other people's Pokemon. But Aurora saw one small flaw in that plan but before she could point it out, Drayton spoke up, offering that they speak to coordinators. I am. At least, I've won a fair share of competitions... Aurora thought.

She also yelped when his Gallade fell from the trees. She hadn't even noticed him jumping around limb to limb. But the only sign Aurora showed of surprise was her eyes widening in the direction of the Gallade. Her Espeon immediately seemed to take a liking to the psychic and fighting type Pokemon. She pranced her way over towards the Gallade, keeping pace with him even though his leg-strides were far longer than that of Paradox's. She didn't say anything but she flicked her ears and respected Arterious in silence.

Two of the other females then joined into the conversation, one saying she was sure some of her Pokemon would agree to the battling style and the other saying they 'might' be willing to.

Aurora finally saw her chance to speak up. "Um, to go along with what Drayton offered -- I've won my fair share of coordinating competitions back in the Sinnoh region. I had to take a break from battling, you see. So I took a gamble at coordinating. Combining moves and double-battling is an excellent plan. But there are some flaws with it when using it in battling; especially if we are going to be using two different trainers." Aurora said cautiously. But as she continued to speak, she began to grow in confidence with herself. This was something she knew by heart; something she could trust herself to speak.

"The two Pokemon have to be in near-perfect sync with both each other and the trainers. And the two trainers have to posses the same sort of plan and balance with each other as well, or someone will end up getting hurt. When I was trying to teach my Noivern and Garchomp how to combine flamethrower and water pulse, the fire somehow ended up stuck within a water-like bubble that exploded. I ended up getting second degree burns on my arms. And that was using my two Pokemon and not with mine and someone else's. But now that it's been perfected, it's a powerful move combining two different types." Aurora took a deep breath and gave a nod of her head, "Again, I think it's a good idea. But it's a little risky and dangerous. I think that at the next stop -- like what you said, Haruka, with wanting to find a hotel -- our Pokemon should try to get more acquainted so we can figure out who we should try partnering up with who. That is, if we want to try this double-battling style out."

The dark haired trainer waited for the reply of his second in command knowing that she would probably have the knowledge to help him out in coming up with plans. He called over to Damon because he was sure that the male was a quality battler and knew what he was doing. Haru knew that Luca and Chi would be okay with working with others, but Layla would take a little bit of persuasion. However, if Haru really wanted her to then she would get along with the others and battle with them.

Haruka looked back to Damon as he spoke up. He nodded quickly and said "Yup, double battling. I thought it would be a good idea." He tilted his head at the next person to talk, Drayton, as he suggested that Haru find out if one of the team members was a contest coordinator, that they would be a big help in figuring out good ways for battling, especially double battles. "Oh yeah, you're right. I guess it's probably harder that i'm making it out to be." He couldn't help but laugh a little, while rubbing the back of his neck in an embarrassed way. He then looked over at Michiko as she nudged her way into the conversation. However, Haru wasn't mad that she jumped in. In fact he was quite happy. She said that she has had some double battles before which means she may know more about pokemon working together to succeed in a single goal; to take down the opponent.

More and more of the team members began throwing themselves into the conversations, saying that they would be in for a double battle and that their pokemon would be too. Michi said her pokemon might be able to work with others, though she did put emphasis on the word might. However, he was sure that her pokemon could be persuaded, they would need to be if the team was going to beat team nova. He smiled at her and said "It's fine, at least you introduced yourself now!" He gave her a bright smile and then looked back at the second in command as she spoke up. He now knew why she was made second in command by Professor Cypress.

He listened to her as he walked, careful not to walk into any trees. He nodded at her words after she finished talking and said "You seem to know a lot about this, we could use your knowledge of coordinating and double battling, along with Michi's too. I'm sure that we may need to get to know each other a bit more, our pokemon even more so, but i think it's completely possible." He locked his hands behind his back as he walked and then said "Risky and dangerous are my middle names! But i agree with you on that. Our pokemon need to get along whether they want to or not, but i'm sure that they will end up finding that they all get along very well." He took out his map and looked at it, saying "The town isn't that far away. About...another hour maybe? We can stop to take a break too."
