"No thank you." Haddix mumbled. He looked over and saw a metal table. He made his way over to the table and pushed himself up onto it. "I don't care much for being rude, and I know you guys are giving me a lot of things that anyone in my position would jump at the chance to get." He began. "However, I would like to know where Danika is at. She's just as important to me as the others." He stared at his hands in his lap. "S-Sorry for the defiance. I'm thankful for this, really. I just want to know where and how she is." His gaze lifted towards the nurse, and his narrowed eyes locked with hers.

Haddix's eyes lit up. "Thank you ma'am!" He whispered and hopped off of the table. He quietly made his way over to where she was. "I promise I won't tell anyone. I don't want you to get in trouble for my attitude." He explained. He felt bad that he was putting her in this awkward situation, but he wanted to check on all of his new friends. Haddix glanced back at the glass as well, hoping the guy that asked his name had left. He was pretty sure that guy was in charge around here. The man didn't seem like too bad of a person so far. He just hoped he didn't find out about this.

Nick stood with a grunt, dusting himself off angrily. "You think if I did I would be in here?" He said irritably, pacing back and forth about the room. "I forgot how useless this human form was." He said with a grimace, speaking more to himself than his friend. Nick seated himself on the opposite wall of Hunters. "What about you? Any ideas?"

Nick stopped listening to him for a moment, until he brought up the inability to change, which caused Nicholas to quickly snap his head towards his friend. "Can't change?" He asked in disbelief. 'I'm not the only one?' He moved closer to his friend, his eyes studying Hunters face for any signs he may be tricking him or something. "You...you can't change either?" He narrowed his eyes, "this doesn't make any sense."

Haddix followed the nurse closely, trying not the get them caught. He was beyond thankful for everything she was doing. He was confused when she shushed him, but realized that his friends were near. He didn't really like speaking, and she didn't know that. It was kind of urgent in this situation though. He continued to follow her until they reached Danika. Haddix walked in after thanking the nurse a couple times, and sighed in relief when he saw Danika. He couldn't help but smile a little bit, knowing she was alright. As bad as he wanted to reach out and touch her, he knew he couldn't. "I know you can't hear me... And even if you could, you wouldn't know who it is anyways since your eyes aren't open." He thought he sounded stupid talking to himself like this. "A-Anyways. The other females are alright from what I understand. The males on the other hand... They're into a little bit of trouble. I don't know details yet but, I wanted to talk. Even if you can't talk back." Haddix looked up and made eye contact with the nurse. "I have to go. I'll find you again, I promise. I won't leave here without you." He said, then left the curtain to meet with the nurse. "Thank you again. This means a lot."

"She... Shes not coming back?" Haddix looked crushed. He had to process some of the things she said before he fully understood what was going on. Danika was leading them to the "Safe place" so she could get back home. Maybe she was trying to help them? His eyes widened. That's why she had the dog tags he saw at their last stop. "What if she doesn't want to continue working? What if she wants to go with us?" He asked, desperate for a different answer. "There has to be some way I'll- we'll see her again, right?"

Nicholas growled, grabbing Hunter by his shoulders and turning the boy to face him. "Stop being an idiot! Do you honestly think I'd joke about something like this?" His grip tightens slightly on Hunters shoulders. "If I could change don't you think I would have when I attacked those guards?" He huffs a little, loosening his grip at Hunters last statement. He sits quietly for a moment. "I wasn't going to let you take all the blame." He let's go of the boys shoulders, turning away from Hunter. "You may be an annoying little s**t at times, but I wasn't going to let them drag you away to god knows where." He sighs softly. " I did it because if there was a chance that I could sacrifice my life for yours then..." he pauses, rubbing his neck awkwardly, unsure of what point he was trying to make. "What I'm saying is you're a better man than me Hunter, and your life, I value more than my own...because you're.." he seems to struggle with the words. "You're my friend."

"As long as she's happy I guess." Haddix looked back at the curtain he had just left. "I might talk to him if I get the chance. I don't really know what I would say. I want her to be happy, but I don't really want to lose her either." He sighed. "I should probably get back to my friends. A tour would be nice tomorrow I suppose." He nodded, trying to be positive. Haddix walked out of the room he was in, and made his way down to the med bay. He slowly went down the steps, not knowing who was going to be in there. As he got down to the room, he looked around and spotted Aidan and Harper. He waved to them, and looked back to see if the nurse was behind him.

Aidan heard an extra set of footsteps and glanced over her shoulder. Oh, hey, it's that...one guy. What was his name, again? She gave a small wave back. She didn't feel nearly as relieved to see him as the others--she had barely even heard him speak before.
For some reason, she automatically felt strangely hostile towards him. Aidan pondered this for a few moments and realized it was because he seemed like a replacement for the other two boys. She didn't even care about this guy. She wanted Hunter and Nick, not him. Despite the unreasonable source of her inward aggression, she then proceeded to ignore him and turn back to Harper.
life is really stressful for me at the moment.

Nick frowned, his face burning from embarrassment at his own words. He always felt stupid when saying stuff like this. He tensed up when Hunters hand was placed on his shoulder. He scrunched his eyebrows together as he listened, before glancing back at his friend. 'He would?' He never had a friend, let alone one that would risk their life for him. He hesitated, staring at Hunters extended hand, before taking it with a huff. "Yeah" he said awkwardly before offering a rare smile.
