ccess to distant worlds does not require million dollar ships, or
the best astronauts known to man. our closest neighbor does no
t exist thousands of light years away--in fact, it's closer than m
ost would assume. our closest neighbor exist within the deep m
aze-like structure that is our mind. our closest neighbor is a dre
am like world, a world that very few hold the key to. those with
the ability to visit this place are regarded as very powerful, but
little does anyone know that these select beings do not have an
y control what-so-ever over their gift. once they enter this worl
d, leaving it seems almost impossible.

whose physical forms are currently stuck in comas--they will b

ho are natives to this dream world--they will be known as 'dre
am-borns'. we will focus on the efforts of the physical-borns w
ho re trying desperately to escape, and the dream-borns who
are all involved with a twisted plan to keep the physical-borns
stuck in the dream world in place of themselves. the events th
at occur here, although not physical, feel real, and are regard
ed (and are remembered) as such.

dream-borns are complex humanoid being that have the ability to manipulate the
world around them. from creating fire, adjusting colors with a tap of their finger,
and creating multiple copies of themselves--skilled dream-borns can do it all. dre
am borns are created one of two ways: they are either born into this world by par
ents who are visiting (when this occurs, they lose their status as physical-borns, e
ven if their parents were physical borns), or they were once physical-borns, but t
heir bodies have shut down. dream-borns have a better understanding of their po
wers, but without a physical form their powers only exist in the dream world.

physical borns are a rarity. they were born in the physical world, but for some un
known reason they have access to the dream world (the trait is inheritable). phys
ical borns are commonly unstable when it comes to their powers, and most go the
ir entire lives without ever learning how to control their abilities. but those that d
o learn are regarded as some of the most powerful beings. unfortunately for phys
ical-borns--their physical bodies age in the physical world where-as their dream-
world forms do not. this tethers them to their bodies, and creates a weakness for
these powerful beings.

the great echoes are a very strange phenomenon that occur within the dream-wo
rld from time-to-time. the echoes are whispering human voices that everyone th
at is in the dream world can hear. these echoes occur only when physical-borns
are in the dream-world--because the physical-borns create a connection betwee
n their loved ones and the dream-world. the voices are their loved ones speaking
and interacting with their comatose bodies in the physical world. the voices ten
d to be filled with extreme sorrow, so most refer to the echoes and the weeping
winds.

once upon a time, sofía would of been
the last person to betray the emperor.
she was loyal to a fault, really. she's
always been a bit close-minded, usually
following the crowd and only paying
much attention when required. however-
things change. with the arrival of the
physical-borns, sofía has been second
guessing herself and where her loyalty
lies. this indecisiveness has turned a
simple, placid pushover into some-
thing much different. her abrupt betr-
ayal resulted in her becoming extremely
aware of her surroundings and choices.
still facing a moral dilemma between
right and wrong, sofía now appears
meditative on a daily basis.
