Salem Saunders. 17. Nyx. Demigirl
Salem was just about to reply to the boy when she heard what sounded like a whine. It was barely audible, and she doubted she would have been able to hear it if her ears weren't so used to catching the smallest sounds on her wandering at night. She frowned, sharp and hard, zeroing in on the boy, as she doubted that Beckham could make that high of a sound. She followed Finnians gaze to the tree, and arched an eyebrow as she walked towards it. " What, looking for some fruit?" She said casually, mostly just to hear herself talk. She enjoyed quiet, but hated silence, and to be honest, she was slowly beginning to wonder if the younger boy could talk at all. She eyed the tree, making some quick calculations. " Alright, I'm gonna be honest. I cant climb trees to save my live, so if I get fruit for you, you have to promise not to laugh" She said, crossing her arms and pinning both the boys under her gaze. She thought she might be able so keep her balance if she shadow traveled up there, but she was secretly hoping that Beckham would intervene and make himself useful.

Up until he met Mia he had thought that being cruel and detached was part of being a child of Tartarus. But, obviously he was wrong. His sister was so compassionate, kind, and optimistic. Brad was the near opposite of that. Even though he wouldn't really call himself a pessimist. He wasn't really anything when it came to that. But, he always felt oddly compelled to fulfill his sister's wishes. "I suppose you're right." Finnian was a very odd kids, although not unlike Brad when he was young. He knew how hard it was to feel things. But, he was much quieter than Brad ever was. Bradley always replied when asked of him. Even though, they were normally curt and emotionless. So he just tacked on, "I see" onto the end of his reply.
Once they had arrived in camp Brad set the deer down on one of the tables. He glanced around. Someone needed to set up the morning fires so they could cook the deer and the crabs and other creatures the people were fishing out of the water. The only people around camp at the moment was Violet, Liliane, and Mia. "We need to set a fire up," he said in a monotone.

Vi grinned at her. Although, she felt her skin prickle. Brad made her feel a bit uncomfortable. How could someone so kind and charming as Mia be related to him? Mia needed someone better than the two freaks she got. But, Vi would never say that to her face. She knew that was probably one of the only things that could set her off. "Wow." she said in awe. She had hardly realized how hungry she was until this moment. "Can our stomaches even take that much food?" Her eyes sparkled. She cocked her head to the side. "We do, don't we?" she paused. "Hey! One day we might yet get off this place for good." At least, that was her foolish hope. Plus, she had to stay positive about if it she was going to not be overcome with a misery of a sort. She watched at her brother set it on the table. It wasn't particularly a fattened deer but it still looked like a lot more than they had in a while. "I suppose the ones that are queasy because of animals guts shouldn't look while we are preparing it." she looked back at Liliane cautiously when she said this.
