TANDEM located the boy easily by his microchip. The cyborgs ran towards their target, not realizing that they were being trailed. The wolf followed them from the thick brush of the forest, waiting for them to stop and spread out. They had a pattern, he knew. They used almost the exactly same formation to capture hybrids, every time. Because it worked. They didn't have any natural predators, so they got lazy.
Isam watched from the cover of the trees as the cyborgs found their target and slowed down. They each spread apart to flank him from either side, T1 coming closest to Isam's hiding place. That's when he pounced.
The wolf leaped from the brush, letting out a chest rumbling snarl as he collided with the cyborg. Isam didn't the thing a chance to recover before he started tearing into flesh and electronics. T2 was on him in half a second. He felt T2 hit him like a freight train, sending him flying off T1. T1 stood, sparks flying here and there was broken wires.
Isam got back on his feet, his right side throbbing. Cracked ribs, probably. He snarled and lunged again. His powerful jaws clamped down on T2's arm, crashing the electronics inside. It suddenly lit up with electricity, sending a serious jolt through Isam's head. The wolf yelped and released, his muscles stiff as he fell to the ground. T1 approached him from behind, waiting to see if he would get up again.
Isam waited until he was sure he could move, then sprung up. He turned on T1, rearing up on his hind legs and wrapping his jaws around the cyborg's head. His teeth drew blood from the TANDEM's un-armored face. T1 trying to throw him up, but doing so only tightened his grip. T1 then wrapped his armed around the giant wolf and began to crush. Isam growled viciously as pain began to shoot up his spine. A yelp seeped through at the crack of bone.
The wolf acted fast, shaking his jaws savagely, the sound of ripping metal and bone horrendous. The cyborg executed its last move, closing his arms around the wolf and snapping its spine in two. Both fell. Isam shifted back, writhing in agony. The cyborg's body hit the ground limply, it's head rolling in an opposite direction.
For a moment, everything seemed dead silent to Isam. Seering agony like he'd never felt before made his ears ring, muting out his own cries. T2's steps towards him made no sound. Onlooking bird didn't chirp. And then, just like that, it became very, very loud.
Isam cried out as he tried to pull himself up, but his legs wouldn't respond. Couldn't. He couldn't feel them. T2's hands crackled as the cyborg approached. Isam had never seen them express much emotion, but even he could see the rage on the cyborg's face. It was going to kill him, there was no doubt about that.
