lancaster equestrian, a safe haven for those who are broken.
lancaster equestrian was founded when the lancaster's first daughter
died from anorexia. raina lancaster loved horses and the beauty of
them, though she had never owned one her self. when she was alive
the lancaster's didn't have horses until they decided to start the healing
hooves and hands
. a program that helps horses and teen girls in
need of a little support. it's been twenty years since it started and
now raina's youngest brother, ian lancaster, is running the stables.
ian lancaster has kept his parents legacy alive by living it and believing
it. it can be weird to think of an equestrian center as some sort of
shrink's office or a hospital, but that's what lancaster equestrian is in
a sense. parents send their troubled daughters here so that they can
get "better" and become "normal" again. at lancaster, these girls who
have prblems are surrounded by those who treat them as if they
are normal but still try to help them. although at first, finding a way
to go around certain things may be a bit difficult and harder than
they hoped. the lancaster family believes in helping the girls by giving
them something to care about and friends and people who care about
them. lancaster equestrian is a place where the mute speak again, the
anorexics eat, the depressed are truly happy and the suicidal find
something to live for. so there's just one question, why are you here?
