SHE LIVES HER LIFE LIKE SNOW, BEAUTIFUL YET COLD

Kota sat back and watched as the conversation was thrown around like a tennis ball back and forth between everyone. She began to feel the tension of a bit of the claustrophobic part of her kicking in. He looked around the room and noticed a few people, namely Louvel, becoming, in lack of a better term, annoyed with her presence. She had a tendency to do that to most, and usually he wouldn't feel affected by it or would be and took that to her advantage, all depending on the person. She was pretty oblivious most of the time when it came to how others felt. But for some reason, this shook her a bit to the extent where she actually just felt like shrinking in a dark corner with her guilt.
Maybe she didn't really belong. She had after all barged into the group and came up with her own of an opinion on a name for the so called club they were about to make and her own opinion of the game. One had shrunk back, tail between his legs and gave in entirely because he had been afraid to speak up. Smart perhaps or weak. One had been too kind to say anything since she didn't want to hurt her friend. That had probably hit hard the most. The last person was just quiet. He showed his response in his postures though.
It had been loud and clear that through all three of these people, he had not been welcomed which was the exact feeling she got with nearly ever room she stepped foot in. Obviously coming to the party had not been a good idea.
Kota chugged her soda and went to poor more from the liter. She looked at the poor Anastasia girl who semes as innocent as a doe and yet just as much unwelcome. She was starting not too feel so alone, but the more se thought about it, the more she dug deeper and realized the two were nothing alike. She turned on Cameron, still glaring at him trying to pull the truth from him. He seemed like a decent guy. So why would he lie? She couldn't seem to figure it out, but there was some reason. Maybe he was bored, maybe he needed out of the crowd like her. Or maybe he was just some creepy stalker. Whatever the reason, she chose not to dwell on it for to long. She downed nearly another cup of orange soda.
It was her go-to whenever she felt under pressure or nervous or annoyed. She would find the nearest carbonated drink and begin chugging it until the she could get a place where se could relax all alone. But it seemed that everywhere she turned there was yet another person waiting to pounce on her. Lucky for her, Kota seemed to have a large bladder or at least the capability to hold down a lot of liquid for a bit. She was nearing her maximum weight though. She'd need to leave soon, and she may never come back. A run on the snow, black paws spreading the white powder as it flew out from beneath them when they made their swift movements.
Thinking about shifting made her ease up only a bit. The problem was that shifting any time soon would be off the charts too dangerous and thinking about it only made her feel worse. At least some memories helped hold the lid on tight for a bit. But only or a short time. The door swung open once again and Kota had wished she'd never stepped foot in the room in the first place.
She looked down to poor another cup if pop, but it was all gone. She threw the towel to hr side, her close still a bit sticky and smelled like orange soda. "Um... Imma go... Get some more soda." The red-head turned to her only friend in the room, hoping she'd come with if only she asked. But seeing as she had made some new friends with the people in the room and it had provided a scape goat for her, Kota decided not to bother. She didn't want to pull her away from the moment. She stood up and headed to the door, debating on how to make an exit when he saw her worst enemy's boyfriend. This made things only ten times worse. She stood there looking like an idiot, trying to get out the door without getting to much into Lauren's space.
