Hyunsik smiled a little bit, even at the slightest response he got from the other male. It was better than no response, which he got sometimes from other people, so even the smallest acknowledgement made the sensitive teen super happy already. Hyunsik flashed an eye smile at Louvel, turning away from the ceiling to look at his friend
"Glad I'm not the only one" he grumped out with a slight laugh as he ran a hand through the fringes of his hair for the nth time that evening. A sort of a bad habit when he had nothing else to respond, but it wasn't a nervous reaction either. It was...neutral. As if he was thinking, but not in deep thought, nor in distress. Smoothing out his shirt, he heaved a slight sigh. The music was definitely muffled by the door and it gave him a sense of ease, as his headache slowly began to die down, and oxygen seemed to flow vacantly in the room between the two boys with their backs to the doors. For someone large, they needed lots of space right? Or thats how Hyunsik thought of it anyways. Hyunsik blinked a couple times in the dark room, before looking at Louvel again.

He opened his mouth to speak, or say something. But it was lost in a squeak of bewilderment and fright as the door opened again. He was stiff as a statue, until a soft voice spoke up, and he instantly recognized who it was. Charlotte Swan, a friend of theirs and a familiar face. "O-oh hey..." Hyunsik started, stuttering a little and fighting to get himself under control again. He coughed for a moment and cleared his throat as Charlotte described her own reason for hiding, and he grinned "Well, uh, welcome to the club, thats why we are in here" He murmured softly as he looked down at the ground between his legs for a moment, before deciding to speak up again. Was it just him? Or did it get a lot more awkward with a girl in here too now? "so...hows the party?" he asked stupidly, despite already knowing the answere.

The corners of Cameron's mouth pulled into a frown as he observed Charles and Lauren from a distance. It made his stomach turn just watching them. Deep inside, Cameron knew that Lauren could do so much better than that. Cameron could see the way Charles looked at Kota. He liked her...even though he was already in a relationship. How greedy. A bitter sort of amusement welled up inside him as he surveyed the scene. At one point, he finally tore his eyes away from the couple. Not only did watching them make him angry it was also downright creepy. The last thing he wanted to do tonight was to be caught staring. Did Cameron think he had a crush on Lauren? He wasn't really sure. It bemused him-the idea of love. Love seemed like such a trivial thing, annoying and pointless. There was no use for it and it never really worked out...so why was Lauren different? Shaking his head, Cameron turned his attention back to the female beside him, giving a small huff of amusement at her comment. It was an interesting statement she made. Despite her misleading quietness, the girl's words hate a bite to them and Cameron didn't fail to notice it.

"Hate is too strong a word, I think." He admitted, dark eyes drifting over the moving bodies with some curiosity. "Charles annoys me. Nothing more." The words were true, of course. Cameron didn't really hate Charles, he just thought the other man was irritating. He was a tad bit childish and a little too laid back. Cameron and him were exact opposites really.

Thoroughly bored, Cameron slung his thumbs into the belt loops in his jeans as he watched from the side as the party commenced. Perhaps it wasn't the best idea to come to this party. It was boring. Cameron had never been the type to party; his life so far had consisted of long nights of studying and drilling, pounding the information into his head. There had been many parties and events that he had been invited too and declined over the years. He had found though, that there was more to life than school and studying. Besides, there had to be more to life then simply laying in bed hour after hour. This party was hardly a change for the better but at least it got Cameron out of the house. Kota was adequate company. He wouldn't go as far as to call the girl 'nice' for she wasn't. In fact, from what Cameron grasped, she was quite the cold figure. It hardly surprised him when her next words were angry, as if she was looking for a fight. Cameron turned his head to send Katherine a bemused glance. "Thieving outsider?" It was no secret that Kota was, in fact, an outsider but Cameron certainly didn't hate her. The owl shifter formed his opinions of other people carefully. "And what exactly do you mean by that?" Cameron hardly expected her to give him the luxury of answering the question he directed at her but it was worth a shot. He was rather curious as to what Kota had meant. He had heard rumors, certainly; Cameron tried not to get caught up in the drama of high school though. This was his senior year and he would rather spend time studying for his exams than getting pulled into the petty drama that seemed to circulate around the school halls.

Charles flashed Lauren an impish smile. "Since when was I nice?" he retorted playfully, rolling his eyes rather dramatically. He was used to this. Used to lying. He lied to his parents every day. When his mother would demand of his whereabouts, Charles would only answer all too coolly that he had been held up by the snowfall or some stupid teacher. And though he was particularly proud of it, he lied to Lauren every day too. Don't get him wrong; he had been tempted by the prospect of simply revealing his powers to Lauren, but honestly, the thought of it scared him. Being so exposed like that. Revealing a secret - another whole side of him - frightened him no matter who many times he had attempted to think it over. Besides, it was a secret. His secret and no one else's.

The young shifter laughed again at Lauren's eager agreement. "As if you could ever harm someone," he laughed, poking Lauren's side. He nearly missed Lauren's soft question in the midst of the beating, pulsating music. After a moment of silence, the boy wished he had missed the question. Though he supposed that his girlfriend had the to be curious. But that didn't mean that Charles would tell her. A little desperate to escape Lauren's prying question, he turned to Charlotte. Just as the girl turned and disappeared into the crowd, of course. Charles frowned, a little guilty. Had he made her uncomfortable somehow? Well, he sorely missing the safety of Charlotte's presence. He turned back to his girlfriend, not completely ready to delve into a heated discussion surrounded by people.

"I was helping my mom clean up the house," Charles replied Lauren, lowering his voice so that onlookers would not feel compelled to eavesdrop. He brushed a strand of Lauren's brown hair behind her ear, tipping his head to the side rather curiously. "Are you alright?" he asked, taking note of her sudden drop of energy. Though Charles could be painfully dense and insensitive to emotions at times, he would have to be a complete fool to not notice Lauren's change of attitude as of late. Plus, Lauren never questioned Charles like this. He knew that Lauren had the right to ask, but that didn't stop him from being quite surprised. Usually, Lauren would let him be. After all, she valued personal space just as much as he did. So this - this was a surprising change of attitude. Charles wasn't sure whether or not he really liked her sudden curiosity, though he maintained a concerned composure for her. She did truly seem to be rather bothered, after all.

SHE LIVES HER LIFE LIKE SNOW, BEAUTIFUL YET COLD

Kota saw the couple along with Cameron, and almost instantly, she felt revolted by the scene. She was not one for love scenes or to watch couples. She especially didn't want to watch the most popular couple at their school hang around each other. She may have liked to people watch on the occasions that she got immensely bored, but to people watch couples was repulsing. Kota took another large gulp of her pop before turning back to Cameron. She noticed him still watching and occasionally wanting to curl his lips in disgust. She also watched his reaction to her words and became a little annoyed. She wasn't sure why, but it sometimes it piqued her when others assumed her to be quiet, kind, or amusing. She really wasn't trying to be funny most often, because more often than not she would be sarcastic or rude, but nobody understood. She gave a cold glare when he gave a huff of amusement, but dared him to continue on. When he did, she tried not to laugh herself.
"Mm, yeah... keep tell in' yourself that dude." She gave him a sarcastic pat on the shoulder and the. Turned away to look around the room again, hopefully to find the familiar face of Lottie. She had completely lost interest in her previous conversation for a few moments as she tried to search for her friend who had left the group of pops. But of course, her search was in vain. Giving up easily, since there was no way one of the shortest girls in the house would be able to find another girl nearly just as petite as herself in the mass that crowded the whole space. No friggin way. Kota thought agreeing with her own thoughts. Pulling out her phone from her back pocket, the girl turned on her phone to look at recent messages. There was indeed one, but it was not from Lottie.p, but her mother of course. Without a single glance or thought of it, Kota deleted it. She sighed and began typing on the keyboard. It was a tiny and old phone, the best they could afford with what little wage both her mother and herself received. Lot, where r u? I'm at the party, but I can't find you. You a'right? It took a whole minute and twenty-four seconds for the message to send from the pathetically slow and cheep phone of Kota's to Charlotte's.
She began to worry for her friend. The party may have not been the best idea. She wasn't sure what would happen or where Charlotte would disappear to, but all she could think about was if she was alright. Kota began to dwell on past events both of which either one of them had screwed up and or embarrassed themselves. Most of them were Kota and quite a few times she'd made a fool of herself and her friend. She only hoped nothing like that would happen this time around.
The rustic red haired girl was brought back to the present time being as the boy beside her spoke once again. "Hmm?" She wasn't sure if she had heard him or not, still come out of a daze of confusion. "Oh, you mean you don't know?" her fiery temper began to rise and it had no intentions of coming back down to ground level any time soon. "I'm an outsider. One who lives away from most people and is loathed by those who she doesn't stick around so they call her weird, say she doesn't belong or doesn't fit in. Which I'm totally fine with, until they start making things up. Oh, and obviously, I'm a thief. A poor girl who lies, cheats and steals and nobody wants to be around because she snaps at everything that crosses her path." She was nearly about to get on the tips of her toes and in Cameron's face. But before any of that happened, a thought came to her. One she wouldn't share, but it was just enough to make her simmer down a bit, which was quite unusual. "People can get anyone to believe what they want if they try hard enough." She leaned against the wall and crossed her arms, letting out a pale sigh. She chugged down the rest of her pop and stood straight again. "I need another drink." Never looking Cameron back in the eyes, she started moving through the crowd.
It was a difficult feat to make her way to the kitchen or even just the outside counters, being so petite and short, she was jostled about. But Kota never lost her footing. She was able to nimbly sneak through the crowd with only a few who noticed. She felt the fox creeping back inside her and she became a little more agile. Her normally hazel oculars flashed a golden tint. The moment only lasted a moment before she reach edit he counter. She felt another strange headache coming on, but ignored it in its entirety.

xxxxxxxxCharlotte was grateful no follow-up questions were asked. She was certain she would break down and ball her eyes out of anyone interrogated her unexpected disruption. Fortunately, the storm had passed, so her lungs started working again as her heartbeat returned to normal. Charlotte tucked her chestnut hair behind her ear and shifted to make herself more comfortable. "You can stay. We were only talking." It was Louvel that spoke up. His voice was definite yet gentle in a sort of reassuring manner. "Well, uh, welcome to the club, that's why we are in here," Hyunsik added. Their kind, reassuring words eased the guilt Charlotte felt for barging in and probably shocking them to the point of terror. The brunette tried for a small smile, even though it felt like it sucked out all of her remaining energy. "Thanks, guys," Charlotte replied quietly. She folded her hands in her lap and sat up straighter. To be honest, it felt kind of awkward with them. She would only go as far to say they were acquaintances, but she supposed she could stretch it and call Louvel a friend at the most. Charlotte briefly knew Hyunsik from school as they were in the same Physics and History class. Actually, it would be more surprising if she did not know him. Nova Falls had a pitiful population of 123 people, so it was difficult not to know everyone. On the other hand, Charlotte had exchanged a few casual conversations with Louvel inside and outside of school. Nothing much, really, but they were on friendly terms. Despite this, it was nothing like the unbreakable friendship she shared with her best friend, Kota. For a split second, Charlotte found herself longing for the other girl. Things were never awkward with Kota. The two friends always managed to joke about something or change the subject to clear the air.
xxxxxxxx"So...how's the party?" Hyunsik inquired. He, too, seemed to recognize the awkwardness swirling in the dark room. "Honestly? It's awful. No one should ever throw twenty people into one living room; it's a recipe for disaster. I can see why you guys came up here." Charlotte responded. "So what's the club's name, Hyunsik? Have you guys decided?" Charlotte asked in a light manner with a faint smile. "If you haven't chosen yet, I've got a few names in mind. We're no breakfast club, so I was thinking we could be known as the Lone Wolves or the Hermit Crabs," the brunette suggested jokingly. On a more serious note, Charlotte really did feel alone, antisocial, and depressed. Although she overcame the sick feeling that often stole away her memories and transported her to a different location, she could not shake it off entirely. Ever seen she started feeling that way, it lingered like a permanent storm cloud overhead, feeding on her thoughts and happiness. At the moment, Charlotte was overwhelmed by the revolting scents of sweat and fear...Yes, Charlotte thought she could smell fear now. It was psychotic. However, the changes did not end there. Each of her five senses sharpened to an extent she did not desire. The party's pulsating music was muffled in the enclosed room, but it was not dull enough. In addition, the brunette had always been cursed with poor eye sight, but she found herself wearing her glasses less and less often. Even in the darkness, Charlotte could see her companions clearly. Louvel was good-looking as always with chiseled facial features, brown hair, and sparkling auburn eyes. Then, Charlotte noticed, for the first time, that Hyunsik possessed piercings and a sheen to his jet black hair. Ding. She directed her attention to her glowing pocket and checked her phone. "Excuse me," Charlotte murmured, even though there wasn't really anything to apologize for. Lot, where r u? I'm at the party, but I can't find you. You a'right? it read. Charlotte could almost hear the tension and aggravation in Kota's voice. The brunette yearned to call Kota and tell her everything she was going through. It would be so easy to spill her fears and tell Kota how awkward she felt in the presence of two boys she did not know that well. However, she did nothing of the sort. I'm upstairs in the room at the end of the hall with Louvel and Hyunsik. What's up? Do you need to talk? Charlotte replied. The easiest way to forget about one's own problems was to focus on someone else's.

Hyunsik smiled a little and even chuckled as Charlotte fired questions, feeling the mood lighten up a little bit, between the three. It wasn't as awkward as when she first came in at least. Thinking for a moment, Hyunsik grinned "Never thought about a name for this...club. But I guess whatever floats your boat, Charlotte" he said with a soft laugh, shrugging a little towards Charlotte's direction with a slightly crooked grin.

He looked around for a bit, before the silence settled again, making Hyunsik itch to say something, or do something. Silence was never really his good friend, especially when it was an awkward one. This one wasn't awkward, but it wasn't exactly all the comfortable either. And what good was it for all three of them to sit in a dark room, away from a blasting party outside, in silence and each doing their own thing? It sounded kind of creepy and a whole lot of anti-social, in his perspective.
"So..." Hyunsik began, biting his lip a little in slight agitation. It never settled well in his stomach when-now to think of it- he was sitting in a dark room, silent, not really paying attention to the others, with two other acquaintances in the room. Hyunsik knew Louvel and Charlotte, but they weren't exactly his best friends, or people he hung out with all the time. It made the atmosphere kind of heavy with tension as the feeling of awkwardness floated around them. "Since there is a rather loud party outside...it seems like a good place to start...and I've never played this before...anyone up for a game of Truth or Dare?" he tried, once again trying to strike conversation between the three of them. Hyunsik wasn't an outgoing person by nature, rather introverted and shy. This was kind of hard for him. Purely because he wasn't good at making many friends; besides, that old game was probably such a childish suggestion that one of them-either Louvel or Charlotte- would probably laugh at him for suggesting such a game. Pouting a little in the darkness, Hyunsik wondered if they even wondered to talk, or if he was just being annoying by talking so much or by disturbing the silence so much.

SHE LIVES HER LIFE LIKE SNOW, BEAUTIFUL YET COLD

Kota found the drinks and poured another plastic cup full of pop, only she went for some orange soda instead. She turned around to survey the random gathering of people in the living room of the mansion like building. She drank down half of her pop, a little on edge. Carbonated drinks were strangely one of the things that could help her cool down after having "a moment". While she waited for a reply from her only friend, she half felt that Cameron or Charles or maybe even Lauren would somehow break through the small crowd and find her. Although she had no idea why she felt like Charles was one of them.
Shrugging it off, Kota finished off her plastic Dixie cup of orange soda and poured a full glass. She felt a vibration in her back pocket and had to set down the cup before she could pull her crappy flip phone out and read any messages. The most recent one was luckily from Lottie, not from the woman who would not give up on a hopeless cause.
i'm upstairs in the room at the end of the hall with Louvel and Hyunsik. What's up? Do you need to talk? was what the text read. She immediately began typing away, struggling with the nine button keypad of letters. No. I'm fine. I don't need anything to talk about. Louvel? Ur kidding... Please tell me ur kidding. Whatever, I'm on my way. Kota snapped her phone shut, shoved it in her pocket, grabbed her soda and began moving through the crowed.
Her relationship with the known Louvel was no less than loathed. The two most likely had nothing in common and never had gotten along with the other. She'd had a few classes with the young fellow, and quite a few conversations with him in and outside of school. None of them ending of beginning well. They may have all been Kota's fault that they happened as so, she was not one to allow people in and pushed many away. It usually seemed as though she wanted to be hated rather than liked. But the girl was definitely not looking forward to see the boy. Anything for Charlotte. The other boy, however not very close, had come to a bit of Kota's liking. He was pretty cool to talk to and she'd hung out with him maybe once or twice during school, but he was still not exactly labeled as a friend.
After only a few steps away, she turned back and grabbed a few more cups and the only full litter of pop and was on her way once again. But as soon as she turned to walk back, somebody had bumped into her and her hand went back on herself. The red head glared at the boy who had bumped into her, his face holding a dumbfounded look and he began stuttering. Being her rude self, Kota dumped the rest of her pop on the boy's head and stormed away, her clothes stained with an orange tint. "Just fine." she mumbled to herself replying the rest of her answer to her only friend, all in her head.
She ran upstairs, looking for a bathroom. Trying a few doors, most were not at all what she was looking for. Finally stumbling upon one, she ran in and looked for paper towels or anything she could use. She ended up grabbing a towel and heading to the door at the end of the hall. Before she entered the room, Kota heard some talk about playing truth or dare and naming of a club. She opened the door and looked around. "Such a child's game, don't you think? Try something more fun. Oh! How about Silent Keahi Tokalas for a name. It means fire fox." she honestly couldn't care what game they played or the name of whatever little club they had going on. It sometimes was fun to contribute something even if it was sarcastic. She never really cared what people thought of her suggestions especially since most thought they were stupid and so was she.
Kota sat beside Lottie and began using the towel to dry herself off. "You alright? she looked up at her friend. She may be oblivious to many things or at least not care, but the one thing she always knew was when her best friend was not in the best of times. "You can tell me later if you want." she spoke a little quieter so Lottie wouldn't have to feel uncomfortable answering in front of the boys. Kota set down the liter of pop beside her and poured a cup, offering it to her friend.

The bathroom was now, well, very boring. Isolating myself from everyone wasn't exactly my best idea. Maybe I should just suck it up and go downstairs and try and make some friends. That seemed a bit, well, not fun. I wasn't really one to make new friends so quickly. It took a lot for me to open up to new people. My fingers locked around the doorknob as I pulled the door open. The music downstairs was still blasting and people were still screaming, how I didn't have a giant headache yet, I had no clue. I twirled one of my earplugs with my finger as I walked down the long and narrow hallway of this mansion. There were many rooms, maybe I should take this time to explore the house. That would be invading the owner's privacy, and it would be very disrespectful. I didn't even have the slightest bit of an idea of who even owned the house. My feet brought me to a door where I heard low voices coming from the inside.

The voices were familiar to me, should I just take the change and go inside? With a hesitant sigh, I opened the door and stepped into the room closing the door behind me. Sat inside were very familiar faces. Cameron, the owl. Louvel, the wolf. Charlotte, the bear. And then him. The moose. I bit my lip, immediately regretting my idea. "Hey guys," I mumbled quietly and walked over to the group.

Lauren Frasier
Mood: Unsure, insecure ~ Tagged: Charles ~ Role: The Lioness ~ Ooc: On Mobile, so sorry if this sucks
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lauren watched as he smiled when he heard her reaction. Of course, she was going to tease him back; that was sort of her thing. "Oh, right, I totally forgot you never are," She teased back with a playful smile. Lauren knew rather well that Charles wasn't going to be completely truthful; what teenager was? She lied, realistically, quite often. At this point in her life more than she ever really did before; one could imagine the fact you have no idea what or why you suddenly you weren't at home like you used to be left you with minimal options. Because there was absolutely no way she could just go up to her parents and go: 'oh well you see, I have no idea. I just kind of wake up with a pounding headache and overall pain as well as in the middle of a forest a few miles from home.' One could imagine how that would work out. She'd probably get sent to an insane asylum. What if she was insane? The thought plagued her mind for quite a while, actually. It wasn't so much of being nervous, it was more of she was paranoid. The lioness shifter had absolutely no idea what was going on within herself, her own body. Nothing added up. So yes, she was wondering every time she moved, every time her head began paining her, whether she was going to wake up not knowing where she was... again. She was paranoid that someone would find out any second of the day, bringing out her intensely guarded and defensive sides of her personality.
The question her boyfriend had asked and instantly, she jumped back into the conversation. A squeal escaped her lips as he poked her side and by instinct she had laughed too; he poked fun at her, not that she cared or minded, though. "Pshhh, I totally could," She defended playfully. "Or maybe you just haven't got me mad yet!" She did her best to try and appear threatening, but she knew she didn't wear the look well. If only she knew of the powerful feline she turned into. An awkward sort of silence followed their series of comments and that was when Lauren had made the decision to ask him about it all. And honestly, when Charles turned away she wasn't really sure what the feeling in her stomach was, but it resembled the feeling of 'oh crap' and the feeling seemed to be worthy right then and there. Her lips twitched into a sort of sympathetic frown when her piercing green eyes followed Lottie as she scurried off to who knew where. A twinge of guilt hit her when she realized she could have been the cause, along with knowing she completely just pried for information out of her boyfriend, the person she was supposed to be trusting.
His gaze turned back to hers and of course Lauren followed suit. His answer was made lowly and it didn't take long for Lauren to catch the unintentional cue. "Oh...okay," Her voice was twinged with uncertainty but she did her best to simply brush it off. For a second, her brows furrowed in confusion when his hand reached up to move a piece of her hair away from her face. 'Are you alright?' Lauren instantly shot out "I'm fine," It may have been a bit too quick, but she pretended that was her precise intention. Crossing her arms, she question "Why wouldn't I be?" Folding her arms across her chest, she raised her brow, letting her overly defensive side come out. Desperately, her eyes scanned the crowd, desperate to find an escape that would give her an easy out. Her eyes dared to meet his for a few seconds before she gave him a quick peck on the lips to give herself and maybe even him some distraction from the situation.

Hyunsik looked around as the door opened again, and once again, another figure walked into the shadows of the room. Katherine. She walked into the room, and Hyunsik shifted a little. Why were so many people filing into the room suddenly. Their little group had gone from just Louvel and himself, to Louvel, Charlotte and himself and it just kept getting bigger and bigger from there on. However, the first statement that went out of Katherine's mouth made him shrink a little where he sat. And the girl continued to intrude on their conversation in the most efficient way possible, jumping into naming their little "club", that Hyunsik himself didn't even know she was part of, and he only watched. He sat where he was, feeling rather hurt (emotional right? XD) that Katherine shot down his idea so quickly and so out of nowhere, when it wasn't even directed to her. "W-well, I mean-nevermind" he grunted out, trying to start again, after Katherine sat down, of course, next to Charlotte and began to talk to her. Hyunsik shifted in his spot next to Louvel, suddenly out of ideas again.

Just then, The door opened again, and the music and light from the party filtered in again, for a split second, as another form walked into the room. He looked up to see the instantly familiar face of Anastasia and turned away a little bit, from the door as it closed. Great. Now things were going to get awkward and tense with his ex girlfriend with him in here now. Things didn't seem to mend very well between them (or at least thats what he though) and like any other split couple, the air always felt tense when Anastasia was around. Hyunsik would be lying if he said he didn't miss Anastasia and hanging out with her, but things didn't seem to go that way anymore, and he didn't exactly fight it. "er..m...hi" he said quietly.
