A rustle from nearby signaled that there was something, or someone, nearby. And from the scent, it was distinctly wolf. I huffed in frustration, my eyes narrowing to slits as I spotted him through the brush. It appeared to be the beta, whose name I was unfamiliar with. Though at the moment, he was fully human, with his hood pulled up to cover his face. How cute. He thinks that acting like a human can cover up that awful scent of his. The mere thought brought a smirk to my lips, though I did have to move now if I was to make it. So I ran without another thought, darting with incredible speed across the territory, leaving my own scent trail behind for them to gag at later. It didn't take too long for me to reach vampire land. Of course, my curiosity was quite strong, so I couldn't resist stopping just inside of vampire territory and climbing a tree to watch the scene unfold next door on the wolf land.

Tucker Russel Dennison.seventeen. werewolf. the pup. single

I looked back watching as...the newborn me...chased its prey, a person, but this person...was me. The sound of the four legged beast's breathing getting closer and closer as I try to outrun the wolf craving to taste my tender flesh. My heart was racing and I could feel my body increase in temperature afraid I would be devoured. As I go to sneak another view behind me the creature pounces and I can see within its throat. I awake with chills running down my body, my breathing quick and with short breaths. The dream wasn't uncommon, as I had had it the last couple of weeks since I have recently found out I was in fact, a werewolf.

I could feel my eyes glance back and forth from the window to the door frequently awaiting an unpleasant surprise. 'Hey hotshot calm down.' I told myself taking a deep breath in, it was weird going from the cockiest guy to someone who's afraid to sleep in his own bed. Not many others needed to know that though, and not all of my cocky attitude is hidden either. I hopped out of bed, 'Felt pretty nice to sleep in' I thought as the clock taunted me with the late morning hour. I proceeded to throw on some clothes, my favorite, jeans and a navy blue tee. My shoes followed, and after freshening up in the bathroom I was on my way out the door.

The forest greeted me with the strong scent of pine which brought a small smirk to my face. I could smell the faint stench of a vampire along with the familiar scent of another wolf. I walked forward looking for any signs of the pack in the forest besides me and whoever it was in the distance. I could feel my other half jumping at the bit to come out, but I swallowed the urge and continued forward. It was odd thinking of having another part of me somewhere in there, but I'd prefer to stay in my human form while I wasn't in complete danger. There has only been one other time I had 'transformed', 'changed', 'became a wolf' whatever you prefer to call it. It was just odd thinking...I'm not really who I thought I was but yet a person...a creature I still need to discover.

Her ears picking up another vampire's quick feet, raising up to see which one it was. Watching the trees and birds take flight, she knew who it was- Emma. Once she saw the girl climb the tree... The musky odor followed- Werewolf, closing her nose, she made a quiet gag sound. Why do they have to smell so bad? Wilma let her feet touch the porch, slowly rocking the swing back and forth as she watched the trees for one of the beasts. I swear if one comes... The girl grasped the edge of the wood with her fingers, gently clenching down on it- easy as she could go without breaking it. This wasn't the best of days to be bothered with one of them... Or bother one of them, even worse.

Wilma began to kick her feet up as she moved her arms around herself for protection from the light breeze. Wondering if she should go after Emma or go fetch supper; it was her turn to go get seem... So she thought. Pulling her hair to one side and adjusting her hat, she took it one small breath- Deer. That could work?... Right...? The girl stretched her arms behind her and resumed kicking her feet and protecting herself. Why is it so freaking cold?

After making her decision, she ran into the other direction, along where the two territory's met. Easing to a slow pace before she climbed up onto a tree's limb, starting to lean out closer to the smell. By the stream. The predator bounded from tree to tree, showing off for fun, doing flips and wide jumps- Nothing too fancy. Leave 'em wanting more. Finally spotting her prey, she came to a hault, awaiting the right moment to strike as she rested within a tree. One... Two... Three... Bite. Wilma sprung from the tree, clenching her canines onto the deer's neck, draining some blood to make the deer's plans useless.

Sam curious about Wilma

The sounds of the forest were enough to keep Sam's tormented mind at bay until he heard the rush of a chase in the distance. He picked up a smell he wasn't particularly fond of, and he wondered why in the hell it was stupid enough to come here at a time like this. Then he remembered the time didn't have value to the stranger, just to him, but it was still enough to peeve him.

Slipping up out of his seated position he stalked towards the sounds, noticing the confirmed snap of flesh that was probably the kill. He could only assume the girl was hunting deer, and while normally he supported their kind not feeding on humans, those were HIS deer. He was particularly fond of them, although he'd never admit it to the pack. He rounded a corner and four legs went to two. He saw the girl and his cold stance faded, but he brought it right back up at the sight of the deer beneath her. His eyes remained in their yellow, piercing state, a warning. "You're not on your side of the playground lady." he growled, making himself known to the woman. He tried not to stare at her too extensively, else his natural ice might start to melt.

He couldn't help it, he did look. He noticed all the things he liked, maybe the odd quality he could've done without, admiring her form, noticing the way her hair managed to shine despite not having any sunlight. He saw someone else there for a moment, and then even after that he still saw something that wasn't what he hated. He liked what he saw.

He bit his tongue, Will wouldn't want him losing his edge just because the enemy could tap into his weak spot. He kept himself cold, chilled his ice back, wishing that it wasn't starting to drip away.

                xxx MARILYN LINDER
                ❝ THE NEWBIE ❞ : TAGS : tucker

Marilyn's bare feet brushed the soft, wet ground of the forest floor as she flew through it, running with a giddy spring in each step. Her pale toes would lightly touch the orange leaves before launching her into the next stride, a grin on her face accentuating her freckled cheeks. Although she was the youngest in her coven, she didn't feel anywhere near as much pressure to prove herself as she probably should have, and since moving their territory down into this small, quiet town Marilyn frequently took the liberty of going on these carefree runs. Slowing to an almost normal speed, Marilyn's petite hands caressed the bases of the trees as she passed them, feeling the life that reverberated through their trunks and into the soil, spreading like a spider's web beneath her feet.

It caught her suddenly, but in a brief second Marilyn was acutely aware that she was no longer alone in the forest. The scent of another being infected the air and burned in her nostrils. It was so unfamiliar and overwhelming; unlike anything she had encountered before. Her gut instinct told her to flee, that whatever it was wasn't worth the risk. But the incessant nagging in the back of her mind pulled her toward the direction of the new and intriguing scent. She followed it at a human-like pace, stepping lightly so as not to disturb any of the wildlife around her and alert the stranger. After a short amount of time passed, the scent grew exceptionally stronger. It wasn't long before the young vampire came upon the edge of a very small clearing, littered with wildflowers and a large stone that sat at the treeline. With her senses on high alert, she peered around, looking for the source of the smell.

Then he caught her eye. Moving through the pines was a young man with tousled brown hair and a muscular figure. He walked with his head down and his hands in his pockets. By the furrow in his brow, Marilyn guessed he had been too deep in thought to notice her presence. She cocked her head playfully to the side, a small smirk upon her lips as she emerged through the trees, announcing herself to him. Her curvaceous figure, rather unprotected by the flowing, floral sundress she donned and her shoulder length dark-brown curls, waited patiently for his attention. When he still didn't look up and take notice of her, she groaned, rolling her eyes and letting out a sharp whistle. The boy's head shot up instantly, and a grin of satisfaction spread appeared on her face, "It's about time, handsome."

Shakira wandered endlessly through the neighborhood. It was dark and gloomy, the air unsettled, just how she liked it. The young vampire walked down the street in her 6"inch golden vogue platform heels, black leather jeans and a off shoulder dark grey top that reads "Hot Nerd" on the front. Shakira flicked her long light brown over her shoulder in a vain and flirty way as she walked towards a group of guys dressed in black. Obviously up to no good, she thought to herself with a smug smile. Cracking her knuckles behind her back she watched as they took notice of her and started whispering to each other, Shakira pulled off her best lovey smile and approached them. "Hey boys, what's cracking?" she asked her voice as smooth as silk. The guys just stared at her gobsmacked at her gentle approached, before they even made a move to speak Shakira already had thrown one down near the end of the street around 15 metres away, drained two, and held the other in her deadly grasp. Blood stained her lips, making them redder than usual, opening her mouth she revealed her deadly fangs to her victim and bit hard into his neck draining him.

Shakira dropped the body on the ground with a sassy composure, wiped her hand and continued to walk down the street in her flamboyant manner. She had chosen the best location to feed, a troubled neighborhood where everything goes and everything out of the ordinary happens. Nobody will believe them now she said ripping loose an evil laugh before sprinting forward using her vampire speed. Before she knew it she was at her house a simple but stylish one story house with a pretty garden out the front and a water-feature. "Home sweet home," she said walking inside. She normally went out feeding like this, choosing all the dodgy places where anything goes. It was a strategy she had figured out for the group choose the doggiest places to feed not the highly sophisticated areas where nothing goes unnoticed.

Lifting herself up, she looked over to the speaker then down to her kill. It's rude to stare right?... Glancing back up to the boy... The musky odor wasn't as bad as the rest, but it still bothered her nostrils. "I believe i'm not-" She dashed to her territory with the deer, gesturing her hand. "See?" Laughing for a moment until she began to stare again... His eyes, a little creepy but vivid, his build was impressive... And he- he was handsome.

Biting her lip, she looked away towards the deer. Stroking the back of her neck, awkwardly. "Um... Do you want it- the deer back?..." Avoiding eye-contact with him, she just stroked her neck and looked at the deer. Glancing occasionally up at him... Stop staring... It's rude. Finally, she got the confidence, she lifted herself up more, looking over to him with her cloudy hazel eyes. Her hair flowed down one shoulder as the breeze lightly wrestled with it. Taking a deep breath as she made eye-contact with him as her hands rested by her sides.

Samin the company of Wilma

The wolf's ice was poked with a hot iron rod yet again. Her innocence was deceitful, and yet it still managed to unnerve him. He thought of what Will would want him to do. Kill her? Make an impression to the rest? He crouched, slowly, carefully. From the man rose a wolf, and he shook himself a bit as he looked back up at the woman in full form. Even like this, his ice was still melting from the heat that came from her own cold body. He approached in a manner similar to stalking, silent and trained. It didn't take long for his massive strides to put him within distance of the girl, and the strength of her scent was starting to bother his ice then too. He grabbed the deer with his jaws by the thigh, insuring that he didn't actually touch her. He pulled it away gently until it came free of her grip, then he tossed it behind him once it was free from her grasp.

He shifted back quickly, keeping his eyes their striking yellow. Their ability to keep her on edge kept him from completely losing his. He stared at her a bit more, more than he should've. "If anyone else was here, I'd have had to kill you." he said, finally able to turn his eyes down for a moment. He didn't want to kill her. He should want to, he should want to eliminate the threat that's been posed to the pack, but she hadn't done anything wrong. She was just eating, she hadn't even harmed anyone. Even still, had anyone he knew been around he'd have killed her right there, maybe so that no one else could...

Making a small scream as he snatched it away, stepping back a bit. Why am I scared of this werewolf?... Could it be? She looked back up at him, admiring him as a wolf just as she did when he was a human. After he changed back, she eased a bit, but a bubbly feeling was still in her stomach. Wrapping her arms around her as the breeze picked up again.

Wilma took a risky step closer to him, outstretching her arm towards him. Her fingers shakily opened away from her palm. "Im... I'm Wilma, may I know whom I owe the pleasure of?" Her eyes kept locked on his, unable to pull away... She didn't want to anyway.

As her staring continued, she hugged herself more, the cold was being a booty. Her sweater let a few minions of the breeze slip through before her arm locked them out. Holding the other arm out for him, her fingers slowly coiled towards her palm a bit. Is he going to shake my hand?... Wilma stood there awkwardly, not knowing exactly how to greet him. The bubbly feeling only grew every second she stared at him.

Sam's eyes barely tilted down to notice Wilma's hand. It was a friendly gesture, but he'd seen lethal things performed after friendly gestures that gave him the strength to chill his ice momentarily. "I heard that once you tell a vampire your name, they write it in your own blood. I don't know if I want to tell you." he grumbled. Even though he felt like he was in control, his instincts were everywhere. Kill it, talk to her, do this, don't do that. The conflict going on in his head was a bit overwhelming.

He bothered to take a step back, trying to get away from the smell of her, even though his eyes couldn't seem to peel away. There was an obvious tension in his body, he was rigid, unable to really get a grip on what stance he should take towards this creature in front of him. She made him remember how to be warm, but he was supposed to be cold. He tried not to look as startled by all these thoughts in his head, but even still the yellow of his eyes faded to its natural jade green.

He missed being warm sometimes.
