Noelle bit her lip against the painful reminder she was just a human, though tried to retain a smile. She didn't really want to be friends all that much with Deidra anymore, especially since one) she hadn't taken the time to learn about the Cyra house like Noelle had learned about the Chander, two) she hadn't been at all cautious of a skinwalker she didn't know, and three) because she had just made Noelle feel awful. Even if she had said 'sorry'. Common sense said to be sensitive of a human that should have been a skinwalker's feelings.

Coal could feel the hair on the back of his neck raise as he turned towards the girl with a growl to his tone. "What did you say?" His eyes flashed again. In his mind he was reciting the words to keep himself from turning but that did not stop his aggression from showing through now. He was picking up on Noelle's emotion to what Deidra had said and it was making him became more of the 'protective dog' than he probably should have been. His form was a bit ridged as his eyes narrowed. Again he could feel his teeth sharped ti that of the canine's.

Blaze watched what was unfolding and sighed. He nudged the girl as he stood and barked lightly to get her attention away from the male. "Just ignore the situation before it escalates." He said in the universally skinwalker tongue. Humans never understood it and it was always a normal dog sound to them. Though other skinwalkers, even in human form could understand it well enough. He started walking back down the hill away from them, though he looked back to see the girl would fallow or stay.

Deidra looked back at Coal, startled. Whoa, what the hell had she said?! She stood up.
"Jesus Christ, dude! I just said I assumed a human wouldn't know about skinwalkers! Is that a crime or something?! If I'm not mistaken we're supposed to keep ourselves hidden from humans," she said, "Apparently someone high up in my own pack got run out of town years ago for trying to do that...or something like that. You need to calm down."
She looked down at Blaze, slightly surprised when he spoke. He was probably right, but she wanted to see how he was going to respond. Then maybe she'd follow the other skinwalker and cool down. He at least seemed cool, unlike this walking volcano over here.

Noelle kind of freaked, concern about Coal's angry tone somewhat distracting her from both her own mental distress and the strange buzz of the dog's low barking in her ears, not quite normal, "Coal, it's fine; she didn't know that I was supposed to be born a skinwalker," Noelle stepped in front of him, blocking his view of Deidra, laying her hands on his chest to both calm and reinforce that she didn't want him being upset with Deidra, or, at least, not attacking her. She spoke to Coal, but directed her words more to Deidra, so that the poor girl would understand, poor only because Coal was being a little over-protective, although rightfully so, somewhat, in Noelle's opinion.

Blaze had stopped at the end of the field and was listening. So the girl was to be a skinwalker. Made sense, after all the sent of skinwalkers was all over her. He was surprised that the ginger haired girl he had been playing with had not noticed it as well. It seemed that the male knew this well enough too. He tipped his head slightly. This was becoming very interesting indeed.

Deidra sighed and tried to calm down, but it wasn't working very well.
"Look, I'm sorry if I don't know all about all this skinwalker political genetics crap or whatever it is you're angry at me for not knowing," she snapped, not really sure who she was getting mad at right now, "I wasn't born into a pack like the rest of you, so excuse me for being a little slow! Ugh, I just...look it's obvious I'm bothering you, so I'll just go. Take my ignorance somewhere else."
She felt ashamed of herself for her childishness, but in her anger she didn't really care. She knew they couldn't possibly know about her past or the fact that she'd only been a skinwalker and part of a pack for three years, but she still felt annoyed. Did they expect her to know all the members of the other pack? Or all about how skinwalker genes were passed? She could barely keep track of the people in her own pack, and her family wasn't a great example of genetic anything. Some days she really hated being part of a pack. It made things so complicated when all she wanted to do was run around, make friends, and be happy.

Coal sneered and stifled a growl. "Then why don't you use your nose?" He said in a low and almost a warning. If they had been in school together for this long then she should have figure it out. Even now she carried the sent of her family. He looked to Noelle when she stepped in front of him. He forced himself to calm, for her sake if nothing else. Slowly he felt his tension subside and his canine traits died down to human ones. He put his arms around her lightly. for a moment he was oblivious to the world around him. Though when Deidra started yelling again he became annoyed. 'You think I was?' he thought to himself irritably. Coal belonged to no pack and had no idea of his genetics. Which if either of his parents had been skinwalkers. He had been on his own his whole life basically. What did she know? She had a family that cared for her and a pack to protect her from threats like him. His eyes were normal again as they gazed to Noelle.

Noelle smiled a little as he placed his arms around her in a light hug, knowing he had calmed down considerably and enough to not react further to Deidra's hysterics. Noelle laid a gentle hand on his cheek, sliding it back to loosely weave her fingers through the hair at the back of his neck, attempting to comfort him even as she turned slightly back toward Deidra's upset form, mostly her upper body and neck alone so that she truly faced Coal still. "Coal's not from a pack either, Deidra," she called softly, aiming for a calm tone, trying to abate the explosiveness of the atmosphere for both skinwalkers (only Deidra and Coal seemed upset; the rottweiler seemed simply entertained). "And I'm not angry, though you did hurt my feelings. I'm unfortunately pretty sensitive on the issue because I've essentially been put through Hell because I'm simply human, not to mentioned being teased," she smiled sadly, her tone more factual with a tint of sadness. "I'm sorry if I seemed as though I didn't want you around; I thought you wanted to play with the... rottweiler," Noelle finally decided to just name the dog's breed, since she didn't know his name, "more than play tennis with us, especially since the teacher hasn't even once looked over here." Noelle smiled again, some humor in her voice, still trying to calm Deidra down and simply relax the atmosphere, make this just a funny misunderstanding.

Pierce smiled a bit. "Thanks. Come on. Lets pay and get out of here. I am excited to learn how to shift and be a skinwalker." he said, excitedly then he blinked and he quickly lower his voice. "Sorry. We're suppose to keep that secret."

Shannon smirked lightly. "Warren won't run you out. Your father ran him out, not you. So I'm pretty sure he won't run you out but he might win. I would definitely love to watch the fight." She said before she drown the rest of her drink. "Listen, Waylen, you worry wart. Your not going to lose your little brother, okay? You hid a secret from him, hell yes he is going to be pissed off for a while. Just give him some space and give him some time to cool down. Soon, he'll try to understand why you hid the truth from you but regardless, if he agrees with your choice or not, he knows that he will always be your little brother and you will always be his big brother." She said then her eyes widen when she heard one of her favorite hip-hop songs playing on the radio. "Oh this is my song! Dance with me!" She said, pulling Waylen out of his chair and she started dancing happily.
