Coal watched the girl run off and sighed. He looked to the male when he walked towards him. He tipped his head slightly. He seemed rather uninterested in meeting him but reminded himself that by sent it seemed he was Noelle brother. Better to get it out of the way not. He shook his hand with a firm grip. "Coal." He said simply as he watched the male.

Pierce whimpered fearfully as he tried to make himself appear smaller. His fear was consuming him and feeling the tension in the air wasn't helping him. He lowered his hands shakingly before he looked over at Moon. "M-M-Moon...c-come..here...p-please." He whimpered, reaching out to him. The man glared at Moon, first surprise came on his face then rage. "Only a mutt like you would protect something worthless like him." He grumble angrily. "Heh. A mutt and a son of a b!*%h. A fitting pair." He said amused before he glared over at Pierce. "When you die, maybe your mother will you meet her in hell and she will tell you who your real father is!" He yelled angrily before he grabbed at Moon's collar. "And take this mutt to hell with you!!!" He yelled before he aimed to slam a beer bottle that he had in his hand at Moon's head.

Moon growled as he stepped back beside Pierce. Though when the man aimed the bottle for him he caught it between his fangs and tossed it aside. "Stand up Pierce." He told the boy as he stood beside him. "Don't let this worthless swine bring you down." He said as he nudged Pierce to his feet and out the door. His hackles were still raised and he was on his guard.

"Alright, cool. I promise I won't murder you and throw your body in a ditch somewhere," Sydney said, "Let's put the groceries in my car first. We don't want to lug all this into the tech store."
He fumbled around in the pocket of his jacket for his keys and unlocked the car. An old white Honda sitting in the parking lot a short ways away with enough dirt on it to be considered tan responded by blinking its lights. Sydney popped the trunk and pushed aside a cardboard box with some camera equipment in it and a case for a telescope and put the groceries down.
"Just put the stuff in there. Don't squish the boxes there, though. You don't want to pay for a new camera, trust me," he said.
On his off days, Sydney liked to either star gaze (if it was warm enough) or make short films. Usually they were just dumb little things as he didn't currently have a serious project going on, but in the past he'd made at least two short movies with friends. Last year he'd finally saved up enough money for a really high quality video camera and some other equipment. One day he hoped to make money by selling his films and showing them at film festivals, but that seemed a ways away.

Pierce slowly got to his feet and he walked outside, shaking and whimpering in fear. He looked back and he saw the man glare at them angrily before he slammed the door shut behind them. Pierce looked at the door then he slowly turned his head and he looked around. "I-I'm out...b-b-but I'm...I'm alone now. I-I don't h-have a-a-anyone." He whimpered fearfully and sadly. "M-Maybe I-I made a m-mistake." he whimpered.

Moon walked to Pierce's side. "IT will be alright." He told him in the same gentle tone he had before. "You don't need that kind of abuse in your life Pierce." He told the boy. "Going back will only allow him to win and prove that he holds power over you." He said as he took a couple steps towards the road. "Come on. You don't need to bee out in the night air for too long." He said simply.

Pierce looked at Moon and he nod his head slowly. "I-I guess your r-right." He exhaled deeply and he blinked, seeing a fog escape his lips. He forgot that it was winter which meant that the nights were much colder. He looked at Moon and he fixed his backpack on his shoulder and followed after him. "S-So where are we g-going?" he asked. "A-Are there other p-people there?"

Moon looked at Pierce as he walked. "There is an old shop in town that not many people go to anymore. The shop keeper is a nice guy and use to let me stay there all the time when I was a cub. Usually when I would run away from home." He said though dded the last bit with an air of humor. "I'm sure he wont mind if we stay in the apartment room of it. At least for a while.' He added. The store was always in need of help since no one ever lasted long. It wasn't due to lack of pay or hard work. For the most part people got board and Quit.

Pierce listened quietly and he nod his head. "O-Oh, o-okay." Pierce said as he followed, looking and flinching at every movement and sound. He was clearly more scared and nervous than he has ever been before. He looked at Moon and he shook his head slowly. "I-I wish I wasn't like this. So scared and weak and...and..pathetic." he whimpered. "H-How can I be more like you, Moon?"
