{ Carolina May Sambora } { No crush } { Female } { Position: Lead guitarist/backup vocalist }
Still laughing, Carolina tossed her can into the recycling bin next to her. She always found having someone on the bus with a sense of humor refreshing. It always eased up the tension as well as made time go faster between the concerts. She thoroughly enjoyed the moments both onstage and off.
"How how cold I forget? Oh gosh! What a terrible mistake!"
Being the dramatic she was, she pressed her hand to her forehead and collapsed back onto the seat. She shook her head at her own ridiculousness. She knew once she had said what she'd said about touring, they'd be thinking about how she was Sambora's daughter. She didn't really find it to be any different from being a daughter of a session musician or a musician at a bar. That's basically what the band had called the arenas the last 30 something years. Big bars and nothing more. The band had always stayed true to their roots. The only thing different was bigger houses. Well, and more money. But that didn't scramble their minds. They always donated to charity. They only spent it on luxury every once in a while. Not all the time like some spoiled brats in the music business. She had honestly been raised like a normal child. She went to school. She was punished when her grades were bad. She got an allowance. Not the allowance everybody thought a rockstar's child would get. No. She got a normal $10/week. She bought her own clothes. She paid her phone bill. She paid for insurance. She had a curfew. She wasn't pushed into music. It was what she was comfortable with. It was all she had known her entire life. At school, she had been treated like a normal student. She had been bullied a bit, but that didn't stop her. She got bad grades occasionally like every other student. She wasn't valedictorian. She came close, but she wasn't. She had to wait in line like everybody else. She didn't get special treatment, which she was thankful for. She hated when people gave her special treatment. She paid for everything anyway. It was just how she was raised. When she had toured as a kid, she loved it because she got to see her parents happy when onstage, but loved it even more if she was able to join them. But at the same time, she kind of missed them even though they were right there. Between the press conferences, CD signings, interviews, sound check, and everything else, she kind of felt a little lonely. But the crew was there to keep her company and she usually had a lot of fun backstage. She had learned everything about lighting and stage building from those experiences.
"We'll probably get to walk around a lot. Don't get me wrong. I love talking to fans. But sometimes they get a little out of control. And don't think just because you're taken doesn't mean they won't try anything."
She had remembered all the times of people hopping onto the stage and trying to grind against her father and "uncles". It sickened her sometimes. They knew they were all married. But that didn't stop them.
