Luke
Luke nodded as Mason and Ryder greeted him - he had to admit, he was just a little surprised they had remembered his name. He quickly shrugged the thought off, however, as his eyes wandered back over to the two. He relaxed a bit when it seemed like they weren't being bothered by his presence, which relieved him. "Yeah, that's me," he replied. Upon hearing Mason's comment about Alex and Hollister, a chuckle escaped his breath and he shook his head. "Ah...yeah, no, I'm not exactly interested in sticking around for that sort of thing," he said with a slight smirk. For him, it was...awkward - always very awkward - to be around other couples. Unless, of course, the said couple wasn't acting so lovey-dovey, as though no one was watching, though he supposed he wasn't the only person out there that felt that way. He couldn't help but wonder if anyone had known of the relationship, or if this was new news to them, as well.
Seeing that Mason appeared to be offering him a bottle of water, Luke nodded slightly as he said, "Oh, ah, thanks." He then took the water and twisted the blue cap, hearing the small snap when the new bottle's seal broke. He took a drink, then glanced over at Ryder as he spoke. A smile spread itself across the blond's face as he replied, "Yeah, absolutely - I mean, it seems like it will be a little intimidating to play in front of so many people, but overall, it's exciting." True, playing in front of such a large crowd was something he'd have to get used to, but he knew he'd most likely enjoy it once he got past the nerves. He shrugged at Ryder's next question and said, "Eh, kind of. It seems like the questions they asked were decent, but still pretty boring, I guess." It did seem like interviewers asked the same questions to them quite a bit, so it felt a bit repetitive. Nonetheless, it wasn't like he'd get completely bored with them. Though, this interview, he wasn't too vocal - not that he usually was, but he'd have answered a few more questions, usually.
Hey, guys. I apologize for the long hiatus! Still not completely sure if I will able to be on as regularly as I used to, as I am still dealing with some issues, but working through them. I will try to get on when I can, though, and may join/make a roleplay or two (my forms will not be as great as they used to be, since I only have access through my 3DS - and posting images is quite tedious on this thing - but, if you would like to see my old forms for reference to my literacy level, I can certainly send or post a link to one. c: ). Again, I apologize for the long absence! On another note, I'm always up for a good trade (however, I will say that I cannot edit trades, so if you want to try offering another trade [or PMing me to see if we can make a deal) if I don't accept the first trade or two, please feel free to. c: I don't mind]! :3 Just be fair. That is all I ask. x3

    Passing Decade | Drummer | 19 | GF - Hollister | Tags: Holly, Carolina
Alex opened the laptop as he and Holly sat down on one of the front lounge couches and pulled up Alex's twitter page, -he was the kind of person who never logged out, so he was sure to keep the mac under lock and key when he was gone- and his newsfeed had exploded. Every other tweet that was from a fan had something to do with Hex, whether it was questioning the pair if the couple was real, circulating the "leaked" photos from both earlier that day and not surprisingly a few minutes ago, or freaking out at the possibility that members of their two favorite bands were "together." Alex felt like a jerk inside for lying to everyone, and it was shown on his face as he scrolled down the page. It wasn't right, it wasn't fair. It was because of the fans that both Passing Decade and Mock Soldier were able to go on this tour together and this is how they were repaying them? By getting their hopes up, just to see them come crashing down when the two of them called it off.
The mouse hovered over the compose new message button and he internally debated whether or not to reveal the truth via mass media, but Felix's threat of reducing his paycheck held him back. It wasn't like his was a greedy jerk, viewing money as more important than the fanbase -he wasn't Liam after all,- but the tour was what was going to put his crazy smart half-brother through college. After all two growing boys being raised by a single mother meant that their wasn't an ample source of funds to send Alex and Caleb to Harvard. Alex would never forgive himself if he had to be the one to tell the budding genius that he wouldn't be able to fulfill his dreams because his older brother couldn't keep his trap shut. He just couldn't do that to his little brother.
Alex's family came first. Unfortunately that would mean that he would have to continue to lie to the fans. It's only for half the tour. Felix promised that at the halfway mark, Hex was over. He silently thought to himself as he placed the laptop down. He noticed that Carolina had pulled her guitar out and was creating a new song. Alex stood up and went to his bunk and pulled out the practice pad that he had on the tour bus instead of a drum set, and sat down once again next to Holly before asking Carolina "
Needs some drums and a bass?" He pointed to Holly for the bass part of his question. He was sure Luke would be fine with Holly borrowing his instrument for a Passing Decade/Mock Soldier music collaboration as long of course she didn't break it or anything. If not Alex would take the blame, wasn't that what "boyfriends" were for after all.
Before waiting for an answer, he twirled the drumsticks in his hand and began to create a rhythm on the tiny drum set in his lap. This was normally how the band came up with their songs, one member would be playing an instrument, someone else would join in and soon a whole jam session would be occurring. Hopefully the sound of them creating music would draw Mikala out from the back lounge. Alex was really concerned about the way she had run off like that, but he didn't want to invade her privacy or anything like that.

{ Carolina May Sambora } { No crush } { Female } { Position: Lead guitarist/backup vocalist }

Carolina was getting to the last of the song when Alex spoke. She nodded as he twirled the drum sticks, lifting the hat and putting it back on her head. Yet another habit of hers. As he started drumming, she started the song over. As they jammed out, she smiled and nodded her head, throwing in a blues riff or two she had learned from the music she listened to. It gave it a nice sound with the rest of the song. Her foot tapped out the beat, keeping her in time. Music was definitely where her heart was and if someone didn't see it, they must've been blind. She hummed out a lyrical beat, to where she would approach Mikala about it later when she came out. Her fingers flew on the fretboard during a random solo, seemingly knowing what they were doing without her thinking twice about it. She was hoping that Mikala was all right as she played, not knowing why she stormed out during the interview. It wasn't all right to do that. Nobody ever did that. It was a little confusing and concerning, but she pushed it out of her mind, ending the song with a riff.

"Nice."

She muttered, looking at the drummer. She loved creating songs. It was just as amazing as being onstage. She never really knew how to explain the feeling of creating something with music felt. Some people called it weird when she tried to, but she didn't care. She knew it wasn't weird. It was just how it was being a songwriter. That's what she loved about Passing Decade and Mock Soldier. They weren't like most bands these days. They wrote their own songs and came up with their own music. They didn't have a professional. If they did have a professional, there was little involvement from them.

Marceline hopped onto the bus after her new "bandmates", as her feet thumped against the hard floor of the bus. As her blue eyes trailed across the new place they would be staying, she relented a small groan. Small spaces, tight quarters, and most of all...everyone knew what you were doing. She assumed quickly that there was going to be no ounce of privacy...but then, she lived with four brothers. That's as good as you're going to get. Stepping across the floor lightly, and brushing past Mason, Ryder, and Luke, she flopped down on a white couch, head lolling off to the side as her dark hair fell to one side of her face, hiding one eye.
"I'm glad your interviewer wasn't as boring. I nearly fell 'sleep in the chair. Took every ounce of willpower not to." Though it was partly a joke, she still couldn't hide the frown that tugged at her lips. Oh well. Sorry if I interrupted... Simply blinking, and replacing her frown, turning it to a placid expression, Marcy turned her head, and hunched over, sitting an elbow up and balling a fist, resting it against her jaw as she stared at the floor. And even so, she wanted to say something about the "new couple". Sure, they should have been happy for them--who said she wasn't?--but Marcy was never the mush type of person. Boyfriends were scattered around for her. She didn't like being asked questions, and thus, she had no partner. They just...wanted to know everything. She always wanted to go: "Hey, I'll do my thing today, and you'll do yours. Let's not bug each-other, and you can come back in two days. That way, we won't get sick of each-other." But that never happened, and of course, she was split. And again, she couldn't help but think that love was only a toy for her. Play with it, get rid of it. She would probably just be a loner for this whole tour.

George-Tucker was in the "passing decade" bus, sitting on a lounge chair, and listening to the soft banter from the three at the other side of the bus. Being an instrument tech he knew how to play most things well. Even the Piano, which was odd. His mother always wanted him to play Piano, and hell, it might have payed off sometime.

It always surprised Alex just how quickly he was able to lose himself in the music. After he and Carolina had a harmony going, Alex closed his eyes and just let the music guide him. For a few minutes he forgot about everything that was going on around him, there was no tour, no badgering phone calls, and especially no Hex. It was just Alex and the practice pad in front of him.
For a few minutes he pretended that they were all still in High School, rocking out in Mikala's garage instead of the tour bus right after their first real interview. It also helped that the two of them were creating something that was actually pretty good compared to the piles of junk they had made when Passing Decade first formed. It was crazy just how far the group had progressed since that first meeting when the four of them decided to create a rock band. Hopefully things would keep going up from here.
Unfortunately the song the two of them had created came to an end all too soon, and Alex was brought back to the present. With a light smile he said to Carolina "
That was actually pretty good, once we can get Luke and Mikala to put their parts in it could probably go on the next album. We'd have to call it something smart though like 'Hashtag' or 'YOLO'" It was clear that the jokester in him was dying to come out to deal with all the drama that was unfolding with this tour. No doubt Felix would push for them to write a third album while on tour, after he made it pretty clear he'd do anything for money. At least that task would be fun, completely unlike Hex. Now pretending to be taken for half of the tour? That was going to be torture for the drummer.
As the Tour Buses shuddered to life and pulled out of the parking lot, James got up and went over to the bus' fridge and pulled out a case of soda. He grabbed four -three for the band members and one for one of the crew members hanging out in their bus- and he gently tossed it to each of them. "
I call a toast for Passing Decade's first tour!" Only he would replace champagne with Pepsi cans, but given the fact that some of the band member's were under the legal age to drink the US -including himself- it had been decided that Alcohol would be kept tucked away where it's consumption could be monitored because it was bad press to have somebody from the tour arrested.
As he sat back down he opened the can and drank a couple of swallows before saying "
So now that the cameras are gone, please tell me that I'm not the only person nervous about this tour." Although he had high hopes for how everything was going to go from here on out, he couldn't shake the feeling of apprehension that had formed inside of him. Especially given the events that had happened before they even left the parking lot.

Isabella sighed in defeat "Yes i know, but im always paranoid that ive forgotten to do something if I go and try to sleep now" she groaned, yawning and covering it with the sleeve of her jacket as she did so. On a good day Izzy always looked like she had been dragged through a bush backwards, a good looking bush, but a bush nonetheless and today was no exception. Her hair was untameable and lead its own merry little adventure on the windiest of days.

His concern about food and its safety was admirable and quite entertaining, she had heard of Masons food antics on tour, she guessed she'd probably be like that too and decided a way to possibly frame Mason one day or another "I woke up late" she rubbed the back of her head "There was no real time for breakfast, and i kinda forgot" a small awkward smirk pulled at her lips "But poptarts sound great right now, you dont mind do you?" she asked, pushing herself up onto her feet, patting down her clothes so she looked a little less like raggedy ann after a monsoon.

{ lets say Izzy and Hale got on the bus to get poptarts, que buses leaving, ill be back to full rping soon }

Carolina laughed at Alex's joke, setting aside the guitar. She definitely drew a line between him and her father. Same sense of humor.

"All hail the ever so intelligent generation!"

Obviously joking, she caught the coke as Alex tossed it to her, opening it with a hiss as the carbon floated towards the top of the aluminum can. She thought back to the song, looking down at the notebook. She'd definitely have to write the drum part in. She had been really engrossed in the song, but she could definitely memorize the beats Alex threw out on the pad. He was very creative and it amazed her how lost he got in the song. Very few drummers showed emotion like that when they played, which was a shame. She had seen enough bands to know that if the drummer wasn't expressing anything and didn't seem interested, the band wasn't that great because then the rest of the band didn't have that adrenaline to go off of. No matter what people thought, it always went back to the drummer of the band. She laughed again and raised her can to Alex's toast. She could tell that the tour was going to be fun. She took a few sips before Alex's question surfaced.

"Not really, but that's because I've seen enough to know what happens. Days on end of nothing but hotels, gyms, cafeterias, and stages. The only bad part is not really being able to go sightseeing because you're locked in a hotel room. If you do, you're too busy being afraid of getting tackled by fans. The rest is fun."

Alex laughed at Carolina's response to his joke, before adding himself "Don't forget we're the most active generation as well after all can any other group say that they came with a whole new language that no one can translate today? Why these Iphones are the new Rosetta stones!" Of course he was referring to the text talk and slang that their generation had come up with. Also for the record, Alex was guilty of using the code, just mostly when he was too tired or lazy to actually type the entire word out. However it wasn't like he was using it for every other word. Just occasionally.
Okay fine he lied. If you hacked into Alex's phone and looked at any of his conversations it would be riddled with chat speak, with the exceptions of Felix and his mother. Go ahead sue him for being a lazy jerk who didn't have the patience to spell out 'Thank You.'
However when his question was answered, he really wasn't surprised by Carolina's answer. After she was the daughter of two rock and roll legends. She had been touring from the time she could toddle around on her own two feet. Would you expect anything less from Sambora's kid? It was also safe to say that Alex was just a little bit jealous of just how privileged her life had been compared to his own. After all he had learned how to play the drums through his school band, while she had received private lessons from Bon Jovi. However he never wanted to acknowledge these feelings of envy for having a father figured who actually cared about his kid -granted Sambora was an Alcoholic- instead of walking out to be with another woman, who no doubt Liam ditched once she dropped the baby bomb. After all she had chose to join their crummy little garage band and arguably was the real reason Passing Decade rose to stardom so quickly. Besides he also knew he couldn't hold resentment against things he couldn't control against Carolina of all people! It was almost impossible to be on her bad side after all with her optimistic and peaceful attitude towards life. It was really Liam Prentice he was mad at, not Mr. Sambora -who the nineteen year old had never met- and his choices on raising his kid.
He nodded and responded seriously to her statement, "
You do have a point. Felix did warn us that touring wasn't going to live up to the glamour that you'd think it would be. Though if we really spend that much time cooped up in a hotel room or on a tour bus, I'd probably go insane from Cabin fever." His tone of voice had become somewhat bitter at the mention of Felix Stinger, who he and Holly were still upset with. Ehh at least he now had a target for when the fans started demanding the silly pranks that he had promised when the tour was announced. However the carefree side of him appeared once again at the mentioned of fans tackling him, "Well hopefully they won't be too crazy, after all two of the band's members are currently off the market when it comes to fulfilling every fangirl's dream of dating someone from their favorite band." He then leaned over to Holly and kissed her cheek before casually putting one arm over her shoulder. It made him feel awful for lying to Carolina like this, but still it was either Passing Decade and Mock Soldier knowing the truth or his little brother going to college. According to Felix it couldn't be both.
Not wanting questions about their relationship to pop up, Alex looked over the other end of the bus where one of the crew members was sitting by himself. Alex then tried to integrate him into their conversation to throw the spotlight to someone else and also get just a little more insight into the tour life from someone who worked behind the scenes, "
So are we going to be cooped up constantly like some of the bigger bands, or are we going to get some more free time while we're on the road?"

---------- Hollister chucked softly, blushing softly as Alex placed a kiss on her cheek, and an arm around her shoulders. She let herself rest against the drummer, resting her hand on his lower thigh, close to his knee. “Probably not.. Felix had told me that we’d have time for ourselves. Not sure when, or if he was being truthful, though.” She murmured, her head resting on Alex’s shoulder. She coughed quietly, tapping her fingers against the male’s knee to the beat of one of her favorite songs. The small female shivered, chills crawling up her spine. She was anemic, and so it could be hotter than Hell itself outside or where ever she was, and she could still freeze. She pressed herself against Alex, her free arm against her own body in an attempt to keep herself warm. Her phone vibrated in her pocket, not once, but multiple times. With her free hand, she pulled the white phone from her jeans, her eyes rolling as she realized it was Twitter. “#Hex.” She whispered, a small giggle escaping her lips. She shut the device off, slipping it back into her pocket.
---------- Holly felt really awkward about the entire situation. At night, she had to shut her phone off just so she could get sleep. The whole ‘#Hex’ thing was all really awkward. She wasn’t even sure how long this would last. People would start asking how they knew each other, or if they had met before, and they’d have to lie. Lying was not a thing that Hollister McKennrey was good at. In fact, if she was told to lie about something if another person asked about it, she would stiffen up,and usually ended up telling the truth. She was sickeningly honest. It was just something she couldn’t help, it was written in her data, and that was how it was going to be.

Their conversation continued on, with surprising fluidity. Luke was pretty chill, and he gave an answer to all of Ryder's polite questions. He couldn't blame Luke for being a bit nervous; after taking two years off, Ryder felt the same way. Fear of messing up onstage due to his arm, or the fans not being accepting of the new members crowded his mind. The biggest one of all, though, was that Passing Decade would become more popular than Mock Soldier. It was a selfish thought, and although he wished them success, he never wanted anyone to overshadow his own band. Or really, he wanted no one to overshadow him. Mason was participating now as well, seeming to make Luke seem more comfortable. Ryder couldn't mistake the gleam in Mason's eyes as he discussed how amazing concerts were, and even with all of his misgivings, Ryder had to agree. "Yeah, Mason's right. Your first few times are a bit scary. Honestly, though, the worst part is just waiting to go onstage. But once you're up there, you feel like nothing could ever pull you down. It's just you, with your friends and your fans, and no one can take away that feeling of bliss away from you," Ryder reflected, his mind going back to their concerts of glory. God, he missed that feeling. "Well, you've gotten your dosage of cheese for the day," he joked, suddenly realizing how pompous and stupid he must have sounded.

"I guess this interview was more of an informational one. Usually there much more fun," his voice broke off suddenly as he felt the lurch of the bus. Mason looked extremely nervous, and once again Ryder felt nervous too, but not as much as Mason. He gave Mason an understanding nod, and turned his eyes to the window. Slowly, the building was becoming farther and farther away, until it was out of his line of sight. This was it. There was no going back now. With a sigh, Ryder leaned back further into his seat. Their new band member, Marceline, stepped around them, sharing her opinion on the interview. Ryder snorted in amusement at her comment and agreed,"Yeah, same. Like I said, they should get better." Ryder still didn't feel comfortable with Marceline and Hollister, but he knew he;d have to at least try to diffuse the tension.

A bright flashing light on his Android cell phone took up his attention, and for a few minutes he was immersed with the piece of technology. After checking his texts (it was a 'good luck' text from his mother), he made his way to social media, to check how things were going. First, he checked the band's Twitter page, which was bombing up with excited tweets from fans. At least they were enthused about the tour, even if it wasn't the original members. However, a small, stupid newly-made shipping word caused him to frown. #Hex. It was everywhere on ay of their social media platforms. "What the...," he trailed off, his eyes widening in realization. "Have you guys seen this?" he demanded, turning his phone towards the other people in the bus. "'#Hex?' Is this really going viral? Oh my God, the fans are going to go wild... They already have," he groaned. The shipping fans would be chanting this at their next concert, be asking them the details of "Hex" if they ever had meet-and-greets. The focus would be shifted from the music to relationships, which was what Ryder did not want at all.
