On the west coastline of australia, for years mermaids and mermen have lived among humans peacefully and in secret. it seems that merpeople in these recent years have become more adventerous - venturing onto the land itself. the west coast of australia is one of the most populous places for the mermaid species and all was well until mermaids were discovered in america, and soon after became prominently feared by the few who discovered them. a murder was placed around the finding, striking hatred towards the mermpeople kind. however, the whole scenario was kept secret, unknown to the world and only an elite few people were informed on this situation - there position, mermaid hunters. this group travelled the world, extinguishing every mermaid or merman they could. it seemed that the legends of the merpeople being vicious being were in fact true. now the group are in australia, undercover as high school students and ready to kill. and yet. something undiscovered, unseen to any species is threatening both their existences. can they put aside their differences to work as one?

It all started four years ago. a murder around some mythical creature that took place in america and russia's top agent, Svetlana was called to the case. at first she was skeptical, there are no such things as merpeople! but it was soon proved that that accusation was infact false and the agent was thrown into one of her most challenging missions to date. upon meeting the group selected to fulfil this svetlana found herself becoming the second in command, which to at first, she was not pleased about. but she became close to the leader, and would now do anything for him. the russian girl is the age of twenty one and exclusively trained in the area of martial arts and attack movements. she always carries some form of a weapon and her two light blue eyes, always on the look out for anything, different. svetlana has a huge dislike towards the merpeople, the agent often becomes aggressive and cruel upon contact. with the group however, she is loyal, intelligent and compassionate but is always sharp and rather imposing. it's best not to mess with her.svetlana's family is dead: murdered by criminals.

she was raised under the great blue sea but often imagined what life on
land was like. one day a mermaid ventured too close to humans
and lashed out killing a person. this caused the humans to
organize a group known as the 'hunters' who seeked out
mermaids and murdered them or captured them. sadly
they got a hold of her mother and she never saw her again.
this caused her to hold a grudge against the humans and
is bitter towards them. though this can change, as she
can forgive, but it must be proven to her.

Milo from a young age was always book smart, he could list
every poem by poe and recite the lines of his beloved nov-
els. In his teens he drew away from his intellectual self and
ran himself on a bad path, landing him a spot in the records.
Setting himself straight again, he graduated and attended
university in Britain. He studied oceanography and received
a degree in marine biology. He obtained a surprising postion
at MI8, reading signals and oceans currents in the atlantic
ocean. There were whispers floating around about a secret
mission undoing, and sure enough Milo was taken out of
work one day and never came back. He was assigned leader
of a group of 'hunters' who were assigned to hunt down all
mermaids, who until recently were unknown to humanity.
Milo is a very witty, and uses his smarts to win over his
competition, he is not fond of violence, surprising being
assigned 'leader' of the group. He was assigned this because
not only would he show expert control over such a mission
but would also balance the otherwise fierce agents. Now don't
get him wrong, Milo is fierce and brave, and will complete the
job; but he is not a ruthless killer. For now he is the brave
leader of the group, and will lead them on their pursuit of the
merpeople. To hunt them down.
