Kayla sighed softly. Even though Kay mentioned everyone having her back, she felt like the fates were working against her. She shrugged it off the went over to Iker. "I think I can help with the stretcher. I've got enough strength to make it, I'm sure." She watched his face, wondering what he would say, hoping he wouldn't dismiss her. She knew she probably wasn't the most reliable wolf at the moment and maybe they even considered her one of the injured but she wasn't worried about it and she wanted to help. Maybe she was trying to prove to Marc that her head was in the right place but maybe she didn't care what he thought. She wanted to slug him one good time but she knew that probably wouldn't help anything. "I can do whatever..."

It takes another couple of minutes for the wounded wolves to get sorted out, but pretty soon the motley group is ready to go. Kay picks up point position and moves at an even lope ahead of the pack. She keeps her eyes and ears open as she leads the group towards the cabin, sometimes branching off to circle around the group and make sure nobody had fallen behind and that no wolf was trying to sneak up on them. Because of having to carry the injured, everyone moves at a slow pace, but Kay's patience doesn't dwindle. Now that she has a task to do, Kay can feel herself becoming refocused and capable.

A decent amount into the trip, Kay catches the scent of her brother. It's coming upwind and still seems a distance away, but she knows that the others will smell it soon. "I think the rogue is nearby." Kay says after she's ran back to the pack and shifted. "I can smell him, but I don't believe he is close yet. Is there any way we could pick up the pace getting to the cabin?" Her question is mostly directed at Marc, since he is the brute she spoke to earlier, but she voices it loud enough for them all to hear. Kay doesn't want to cause any panic, but it wouldn't do to keep anyone in the dark. Her brother may be coming and Kay knows that Dante can deal a lot of damage... especially if he's angry. He already injured Rox and some other wolves, as well as turning some humans.

You guys said you were waiting on my post... but this was two before... did you want me to make a different one or something?

Right now I'm huddled up in bed and squinting at the screen. I was better this morning, but I went out shooting despite the cold... made it worse and messed up my fingers some, so I couldn't practice violin today. )

Kay watches as some people exchange hands and orders are made. The cabin is close enough to be visible. Tension is thick enough in the air that Kay could cut it with a knife and spread it on bread. She turns to face the woods with worry on her face, but not for the same reason as everybody else. Kay is worried that she'll be the only wolf Dante won't fight and then the pack will know... maybe kick her out. Kay lets slip a growl at the thought and she looks towards the woods. Dante had better not screw this up for her, she now had the chance to be a part of something bigger. The others are rushing in towards the cabin and Kay can see the better fighters shifting in comparison. She know she looks tiny compared o them, but Kay's eyes glint and she is not backing down.

The brute's coat ripples as he stalks through the woods, his tongue licking drops of blood off his whiskers. For a second he's reminded of Rox, but does his best to dismiss the fae as he gets closer to the cabin and wounded wolves. The iron tang of blood mixes with the smell of pine, making Dante's mouth water. The predator in him is leaping in excitement at all of the pack's injuries. It makes them so easy. The healed ones.... they'll fight even harder, but Dante is up for fun. The brute steps forward and a howl makes it's way out of his throat, calling forth and saying that even though he isn't there yet, he is coming for them. His green eyes are bright with anger as he travels. To think... that redheaded fae's pack was trying to steal away his sister... turn Kay against him.

" make sure it doesnt happen again." he laughs standing himself and his brother up. " I saw some logs back there but we'll need kindling for the fire. go find some twigs." he says heading up the porch. he sticks the key into the lock and trys to turn it, it was frozen or so old that it would barely turn. he jiggles it pressing on the door and fighting with the key. It finally bursts open and he catches himself on the frame.

Milo heads out to get some twigs and sticks for the fire. he shivers wishing he had brought a jacket like Alex had recommended. the sweater was warm but a nice fluffy winter jacket would have been nice. the snow cr, this was the perfect snow for boarding, slick and flowing down a mountain.
