"No ya dont!" Mason sidestepped quickly, his bird letting out a loud cheep of alarm and darting down into the pocket of the boy's hoody. He stooped and picked up the unruly feline by the scruff, causing her to instinctivly go still and curl up. He put his arm under the cat's rear to support her. "Sorry, I'm so used to having her with me I forget how she effects cats." he said earnestly, Gilbird a small lump on his belly as she hid. "I'm so sorry..." he let it trail off, not knowing this guy's name.

[Maple.]

"It's Vinnian." The boy all but gasped as he lurched off the piano stool. "My gosh I'm the one whos sorry she's usually okay with birds but I guess I've been nervous today and forgot to feed her." Vinny explained troubled as he took Macey from the boys grasp and cradled her lovingly in his arms. She flicked her tail with annoyance as she gazed up at her guardian as if to say 'seriously I almost had him.' Vinny laughed quietly and tapped her nose gently "don't do that again Macey its very bad manners." Glancing back up at the boy Vinny once again felt the need to say sorry "I really do apologize for her behaviour." He muttered "I didn't quite catch your name." Vinnian added staring at the boy with curious silver-blue eyes.

"hey, no problem. Nobody got hurt, no harm done. I'm Mason." the cherry blonde responded cheerfully, admiring the pretty cat. He put his hand in his pocket and gently rubbed his frightened bird's back. He looked up at Vinnian's eyes and was quite instantly enthralled by them. He was a firm believer in the whole 'windows to the soul' thing, and whoa. "You play beautifully." he praised, looking at the piano

[Maple.]

"Thank goodness." Vinnian breathed and smiled at Mason's compliment. "Nice to meet you, and thanks I've been playing since I was six. I come here a lot when I'm stressed out so I've gotten quite good if I do say so myself." The boy said laughing as he stroked a hand through his dark hair. Glancing back at Mason again he questioned "do you play anything?" He said eagerly.

Mason messed with his ponytail, shaking his head. "No, my instrumental skills are terrible. But I do sing.." he admitted with a slightly embarrassed expression. He both was and wasn't proud of his singing abilities. Gilbird peeked out and started climbing Mason's hoodie, finally perching on the top of his head

"Now I wouldn't say extremely..." Bear muttered softly mainly to himself as the by slowly drew to a close with him. Nonetheless he was glad when the boy called him Bear as promised. "Bye... I guess?" Bear spoke almost as questioning why it was that the boy was so eager to leave. However, he was not going to be the one to stop him if he wanted to go. After all, having his hunger satisfied, the effects of sleep deprivation set in. Taking a few grapes for himself before putting the bag away, Bear looked towards the lingering boy and said," Im gonna... gonna go take a nap.." before walking past him back into the living room and up the stairs to his room. Despite being the one to officially end what conversation they had, Bear felt uneasy about the impression he had made, as if he had just made a foe rather then a friend. Sighing, Bear popped the grapes into his mouth one by one as he peeled back the covers to his bed before climbing in. Upon finishing his grapes, Bear laid his head on his pillow and quickly fell asleep.

[Maple.]

Vinnian grinned "your voice is an instrument you know." he chuckled and pulled at his grey sweaters sleaves i play piano, trumpet and sing as well." he explained nodding to his two trumpets hanging from the wall, a silver coated and a gold coated one. "Macey here eans no harm so don't worry about your bird, as long asi remember to feed her next time she won't attack it. By the way doe the cute little thing have name? and is it a boy or a girl?" he asked stepping forwards suddenly and reaching a hand up to stroke the birds small head with a finger. Realizing the sudden closeness he uickly stepped back. "sorry i really love animals." he laughed embarrassed.

Mason's eyes widened a tad, impressed by Vinnian's musical abilities. "niiice..." he blinked at the boy reaching up to pet his bird. The parakeet stared suspiciously at the hand, ruffling her feathers. "here." he reached up and let her step onto his hand and gently held the bird out so Vinnian could see her better. "She's a girl, and I called her gilbird. Its the name of a bird from an anime I like, she looks just like the bird in the show." he explained happily, loving the opportunity to show off his beloved bird.

[Maple.]

"Awee, she's so pretty." Vinnian cooed his attention solely focused on the bird. Setting Macey down on the ground he reached forward and stroked the birds head again with light fingers. "Such a pretty girl." He murmured to himself a happy smile on his lips. He had a bird once, at the age of five, it died after three years and he had been terribly upset. Not wanting another pet it has taken him 8 years before he agreed to let his mom but him his little smokey grey kitten who was now 3, Macey. Speaking of the cat she was brushing her head and body around his legs and meowing profusely as if angry that he was paying attention to another animal other than herself. Giggling Vinny stopped petting Gilmore and leaned down to pick up the cat "you are so spoiled." He snorted and cradled her close to his chest. She began to purr almost instantly and. Rested her furry head under his chin. Putting his attention back to Mason Vinny smiled sheepishly. "Like I said, I love them." He snickered.

Naughton sighed at seeing the boy finally leave his sight. 'Failure number...infinite...' he thought to himself as he began down the hall. He was so used to practicing business relations that he forgot he was with people his age. It was official that talking to people was near impossible for him. But as he was walking down the hall, he noticed another boy sitting all by his lonesome. He could help it and stopped, deciding to talk with him. "....Why are you sitting in the hallway?" He asked the boy. After studying him a moment he noticed his strange appearance but didn't dwell on it further.
