Bella~The Hunter Star
Bella giggled as Soren came by, watching him with his horses "Have a nice morning?" She asked, teasing him lightly and giving the boy a light nudge, her eyes quickly flickering back to where their trainer was as he spoke on. Okay, maybe now her excitement was beginning to show. She was back at WEF; no rider of any caliber could hide the excitement as long as you were participating in it. "Can we go then?" She hopped giddily in place, eyes already beginning to shine and sparkle in excitement.
The hunter stirred slightly in the place she was, wanting to get hacking otherwise she wouldn't be able to fit Elvis in for a look around. Plus she needed to remind Blur this was a show, and she was going to work. No questions asked. If she brought the mare into the show ring, no way was she refusing. Art she was looking to hack probably last because he needed the least time to get himself prepared for a competition.
She shifted her body to look at the other riders surrounding the showgrounds. Her dark brown eyes moved around, spotting horses she tried to identify as hunters and possible catch rides. Last year, she had gotten some offers, but none she was looking to take; back then, she was still just entering the shows and wasn't recognized as the threat she is now acknowledged as none other than. Once again she looked over at her trainer, nodding at the idea of the early morning schooling session. The hunter star wasn't exactly a 'morning person' per say, but in a way the girl preferred it over tons of people in the ring all at once and all the distractions around her of red ribbons and what not.

NAME; Soren Alchezo
AGE; Sixteen
GENDER; Male
ROLE; Wild Rider
DISCIPLINE; Hunters
DOING; Catching Up with Everyone
HORSES; Manchester, Diplomat,
Photo Op, and Lingo

"Uh, hi Mr. Wilson," said the slightly hungover and nervous male. Soren gave a half smile back to Phil, who, while he was smiling, clearly had some fair warning hidden beneath his facade. Crap, crap, crap, thought Soren, I really can't be caught doing anything wrong the whole time we're at WEF. As he returned to the trailer after unloading Diplomat and Photo Op, Soren picked up his riding tack and completely settled his horses and tack into their makeshift stable arrangement while at WEF. He put on his aviator sunglasses, as the sun's rays were showing up but mainly because he wanted to hide any signs of being in a blurred state of mind from Phil. Soren gave a nervous chuckle as he eyed Phil again, and he picked up his own duffel bag that had his belongings in them.

Soren gave his signature half smile as he felt someone teasingly bump his side and say something to him. Ah, right, it was Bella. She was better than Soren at hunter's, and he knew it. He didn't really care though: many said that if he tried, he could be as good as her. But why waste all that effort? Soren just liked riding and didn't care for the winning. "Ha ha," said Soren with a smile, his eyes glowing behind his sunglasses and his tone carrying a bit of sarcasm and a lot of joking. "I had a very nice morning, thank you for asking, Bella." He then couldn't help but turn his half smile into a grin as he teased the girl back. Hey, that was Soren for you: always messing around and goofing off. It was no wonder most people would smile around him, and to most it was a surprise he didn't have a girlfriend.

"Mmkay, sir," slurred Soren, taking his place behind Phil with his belongings and awaiting further instructions. "Lead the way."
woah guys, i'm back, after a very long time.

Alex Slade
the jumper prodigy ✧ arriving in Florida ✦ tags: everyone
{ "There is a fine line between insanity and genius; I have erased this line." }

Alex groaned a bit in spite of herself at Phil's mention of early-morning hacking; she had nothing against the schooling part, it was just that Alex was a night owl, an insomniac, and never at her best in the morning. No, that was an understatement. In mornings, Alex stumbled around like a drunken zombie and her hands were like chunks of meat connected to her arms by bits of copper wire. She was used to early-morning schooling at shows, of course, since they themselves often began bright and early, but she'd never fully mastered the task of going to sleep at night and then waking up the next day.

Alex turned back to the van, where her duffel bag was stored in the trunk; she'd shoved random street clothes into it. Her garment bag, on the other hand, was hung from the ceiling like the others, holding several nice pairs of breeches - RJ Classics rather than Tailored Sportsman's like most of the riders' breeches - and her coat, one of the light, waterproof shells that shed droplets of rain like a duck's feathers. It was classically navy blue. She also had brought several show shirts, all of them white. White was the safest color to go with. Alex knew that if it was warm enough, they'd waive coats; as a jumper rider, Alex knew that she would probably be fine if she walked into the arena in a polo shirt, though she never would at a AA show like this. Alex's backpack was also in the car, bloated from the number of textbooks it held and stretched from their weight. Alex's plans to study would probably fall through, but that didn't stop her from stuffing AP Physics and AP Calculus in the bag, among others.

Alex smirked at Soren's actions; even a nerdy kid like her could tell that the wild rider was completely hungover. This wasn't uncommon for him, which probably helped her to work it out. She raised her voice along with Bella's: "Yeah, let's go!" Alex was itching to get to the hotel and get back to hack the horses. She wanted to get Willing out; the chestnut stallion's ears were still pricked, and his dark brown eyes were still gazing at her softly.

{{ sailboat and I were on a class trip in quebec for french, so that's where we disappeared too... but we're back now c: so I expect she'll post later today or tomorrow! }}

laurel ⊱⊱ the equitation star

Her horses all bedded down, Laurel turned away from Cody's stall in time to hear Phil's words: schooling tomorrow, bright and early. She smiled. Compared to the others - especially Alex, who Laurel knew was really better suited to the night shift - Laurel was practically a ray of sunshine at the earlier hours.
At the mention of the hotel, Laurel grinned. Ah, the fun part: hotels. She wondered what the room arrangements would be; typically, it would be two or three to a room, and based off the fact that there were three girls here this weekend, she guessed they would all be in one. Three stars, sharing a room. Thank god they didn't all compete in the same division, or drama would be almost a given.
Laurel turned as Soren showed up, smiling, eyes hidden behind a pair of aviators; she rolled her eyes, but couldn't resist laughing. Soren, the partier, was probably hungover; it was poor planning on his part, partying the night before WEF, but Laurel wasn't particularly surprised. She'd heard many times about how Soren needed to get his head in the game, but he was still a good rider, and Laurel did admire him for that.
When Alex and Bella requested that they leave, Laurel nodded along with them but didn't say anything. She, personally, was dying to take a shower, put on a clean polo shirt, and school; Chance was beckoning her. The graceful palomino was looking alert and confident, and his attractively-striped head was turned in their direction, listening.

Dylan
Dylan moved his feet towards the others, giving a head nod as a greeting towards his acquaintance who was clearly feeling all the bad side effects of a party the night before. He turned towards Bella, listening t her input on Soren's late arrival with a smile. Casually, he found it a little odd even that the two were able to joke around ebing in some serious competition with one another. Truly, he felt Soren and him were on the same boat; he'd been told, as Soren has, about all the potential he could fufil and be just as good as the star equitation rider, but he never really found it to be anything he needed to try and do. He just calmly wen about his business, doing his own thing, not caring all too much. It was casual, not anything where he is always thinking 'the judges think...' But either or he could imagine being in the same room as one of the same discipline in WEF, and the only images it brought were intense hatred and drama. And once again, riding was fun to him, not something to fight about.
"Can we go, Phil?" He asked, stirring in place impatiently. Personally, the boy had a love-hate with mornings. The part with the matter of getting up was a pain to the max and made him want to just ditch sometimes (although no one of Phil's prodigies would dare) Yet when he woke up and was mentally awake, the boy absolutely loved mornings and was active and his slightly flirtacious self. "And who is rooming who exactly?" He asked, once again thinking and hoping it was just guys and girls. Plain and simple and less drama.

Finn O'Malley
↷ → ↷ → ↷

Rico . North . Hat
Quiet Rider ; Jumper
Unloading and Setting Up

Finn didn't know what was worse, listening to terrible music blaring through the radio the entire drive down to WEF, or listening to Mike - one of the Virtuoso grooms- talk about his family drama the entire drive. Luckily he had earbuds and a designated playlist just to block out the double monstrosity. There was only so much room in Phil's truck to ride down with the whole team, so Finn had opted to catch a ride with the two grooms, Kenny and Julio - apparently a bad idea. Next time, he was hitching a ride with the horses.

At the show grounds, Finn ducked out of the truck as it was almost stopped. He immediately set to work laying out the bedding in the horses stalls. He heard the general chaos of the others bedding stalls and unloading horses. With six riders and an excess of equines, Finn knew it would be a few before he could get his charges out. Instead, he spent the time organizing the tack room and the 'get-ready room'. Over-the-wall saddle racks had to be set up and then hung as well as hanging racks for the saddle pads, show bridles, work tack, blankets and sheets. There was a never ending list of things to get set up before he could think about going back to the hotel. While the inside of the stable had to be organized, cross ties in each stall and along the aisle way, water and food buckets in place or stacked, grain and hay brought in - the outside of the stable also had to be decorated. The front drapes with the stable colors and farm name had to be hung up including the canopy, chairs, tables, decorative trunks, plants and bark mulch. If Finn stopped to think about all that had to get done before the end of the day, his head just might exploded. Instead, he just kept on working. Shelves were erected with boxes, totes and all things necessary stored upon them; horse bathing groom box, tack cleaning gear, braiding and wrapping equipment plus loads more. Luckily enough, the show grounds had their stables rigged with excellent lighting and electrical outlets at the ready - otherwise that would have been another four hour job.

Pausing between a run from the trailer to the aisle way, Finn noticed another truck and trailer pull up. A rather sheepish looking Soren walked his horses past the red head as he led them to their designated stalls. Finn honestly didn't have much time to give the hunter a second thought but was glad he was able to make it and relatively on time for the fact that he had to haul a trailer.

Keeping busy with the other grooms, O'Malley and the other grooms slowly but surely got the stable looking it's best in Virtuoso colors and in working show order. There were plenty of spaces for the horses to get ready, the riders would have a curtained off room for privacy, the tack room, supply and feed storage areas were pretty much organized chaos and every inch of available space was being used.
