Chase smiled "Hey... I'm sure they didn't give you away just because they didn't want you. They might not have had the time for you or maybe they thought you might have a better life else where..." he smiled comfortingly "Just think about it this way, your real mum was ready to go through all the pain and sickness or whatever to give birth to you... if she didn't want you, she could easily have had you aborted but she kept you and gave you a life... She must have still loved you or else she wouldn't have even let you see this world..." Hearing her sad comment, his eyes softened.

"Hey listen to me Izzie... There is absolutely nothing wrong with you, you are utterly perfect. I'm sure they didn't give you away just because they hated you." Chase grinned "Anyway, if they really did hate you and just gave you up then they are cruel idiots who didn't see the beauty of their own daughter. Look at you now, you're smart, you're beautiful, you are a perfect daughter. Anyone who didn't want you must have been crazy and they don't know what they've missed out on." He looked away for a second and took a breath before turning back with a smile "Even if they didn't, just know that there are many people in the world who love you Izzie, don't you ever forget that. Just know that there are people who love you and want to help you and be with you..."

Lily blushed, he had seen her nervousness easily... Argh, she hated how he could just simply do that yet she admired that too. She could sometimes be a bad judge of character, that was probably the reason as to why in middle school and elementary school, she was usually the one being 'helpful' and doing her 'friends' homework for them. She used to be really gullible and easy to trick, she could sometimes still get confused and tricked now but she wasn't as naive as she was before...

She smiled "Oh ok... That's great!" she blushed "I don't know why I'm acting like such an idiot right now... I think I've made a fool of myself ten billion times by now..." she smiled "Anyway, if you're fine with either then maybe we should just stay here..." she bit her lip "I don't have that much money on me so I don't think that I could really afford to go to a proper restaurant..." When he leaned forwards, she blushed slightly but smiled and giggled softly as she glanced at his sparkling, chocolate brown eyes.

Jesse thought about how opposite they were. She was quiet, calm and gullible. He a loud, outgoing and a tad less naive than Lilly. But he loved everything about her. The way she ran her hand through her long burnt umber hair when she was feeling shy, the way her eyes twinkled with that sense of calm and intelligence which was certainly unique and Lilly-like, the way her pale skin changed colors when he did something sweet and the way her soft, plump lips moved as she talked. Jesse loved her. Every single thing about her.

Jesse tilted his brunette head to the side, his fringe falling a little back as he listened intently to Lilly's chatter. "Your silliness is what makes you beautiful, love."he said with a dimpled smile when suddenly his brain shifted pace and started thinking hard. Maybe. Maybe that could work. "Or...maybe I can take you out...like I have all these money with me which my Dad gave for attending all those commitments so I am not particularly short on funds...beside what other good way is there to spend hard earned money for the bird you love?"he smiled with a wink. Yes he was asking her for a proper date. A date in which he paid. That is when it occured to Jesse. They were officially a couple now. They were dating each other and not just him crushing on her. And hell he was glad about that!

Isabella listened to him talk. A bunch of thoughts running through her mind. "I just don't see it that way Chase." She said as he tried to comfort her. The last part was very comforting to her for some reason. Maybe it was because it came from his sweet voice and it felt like he truly meant it. "It was hard as a kid." She looked over at him, "I was born with a hole in my heart. I was in the hospital all the time. When I was two, I had a seizure."She was a little baby, very small actually. "When I found my birth certificate, I saw their was no names on it except for a signature. I could hear about them in the living room talking about how they should tell me." The blonde let out a sigh, "It just wasn't what I needed to hear at that time in my life. Plus, that's not the way I should have found out." Her sapphire blue eyes looked out the window. Watching the sun set, it would be night before to long. Wondering where they would stay after a few hours on the road.

Chase sighed "It must be hard, especially if your 'parents' still haven't technically told you. I'm sure they didn't tell you because they were scared that you'd be hurt. After all, that's what you'd expect wouldn't you?" he glanced out the window at the evening view, the sun was nearly set but it still left a warm amber glow across the landscape.

Chase smiled softly and turned back to Isabella, "It must have been hard for them too... They must have that on their minds all the time. But they treat you well don't you? They take care of you as if you really were their own daughter, maybe they just thought it would be easier to let you think you were part of the family." he smiled and the usual playful glint twinkled in his eyes "I don't think they counted on their adopted daughter being such a curious little bookworm who managed to discover their secret!" He glanced at the time on the dashboard and then out at the darkening sky "Hey, I was wondering if you ate... Our little dinner got kinda, well interrupted." he smiled "We could stop off and grab something to eat from a take out place or a service station..." he grinned "Or if you want, I have some snacks in the back but I was thinking you might want something hot... Your choice!"

Lily blushed in embarrassment and took another sip of her strawberry milkshake "Really? You'd do that for me?" she asked softly, in amazement. "You must have worked hard for it, I don't think I could just let you spend it on me... You probably have other much better things than me to spend the money on... You probably have something that you've been saving up for or something...". Lily was slightly excited about the idea of going on a proper 'date' with Jesse to a fancy restaurant and all that but she still felt awkward about him spending money on her. It was usually traditional for the men to pay but Lily didn't feel like she could ever get used to that, she would always feel like she needed to give them something back in return as she felt like she owed them something...

Lily was still blushing when she looked up again and when her belly yet again let out another rumble of protest, she blushed but let a small smile play onto her lips "Are you sure you don't mind Jesse?" she asked nervously "If you're paying then I'll go home tonight and I'll get the money and pay you back tomorrow if you want..."

Isabella listened to him talk, "Yeah... I guess so." She said softly. He had a point, but it was just hard for her. Looking over at him, "I wish my life could be like your's sometimes. Not the reputation, but all broken up. You know?" Letting out a little sigh, as she watched the scenery out of the window. When he offered to stop to eat, "Actually, I wouldn't mind pull over somewhere in a field, eating a few snacks in the bed of the truck." He told him with a soft smile. It would give them some time to talk, plus she wasn't all that hungry. She had no idea what this field trip would turn into, or the surprises around each corner. Hopefully, it wouldn't turn out bad. Looking over at Chase as he watched the road, she smiled. He was just the perfect guy. He was so sweet and kind. He just met her, and he was going out of his way to take her on his road trip. And let's face it, he was gorgeous.

Chase chuckled softly "You want my life? Well I suppose it would be a lot better without the reputation trouble or whatever but I think that takes up my life..." He smiled "Thats like me saying that I want your life without the problems of being adopted!" He smiled "Anyway, that field idea sounds great to me!" Turning off to a smaller road, he grinned "Now let's go and find a cowless field!" As he drove along, he smiled, she had opened up to him and he knew her darkest secret, that put a thought into his brain. Should he tell her his secret? It seemed fair but Chase was still nervous, but then again, he didn't think Isabella to be one of those girls who gossiped...

Pulling up on a small field, he smiled. It wasn't everyday that you parked you car in the middle of a field. Pulling thee tarpaulin off the back of the truck, he smiled back at Isabella "You luxurious meal awaits! Climbing into the back of the truck, he unzipped his bag "Now madam, we have the finest selection of Cheetos in the world along with unique chocolate from the prestigious 'local supermarket'." He smiled "Take whatever you want!" He turned to smile at her, she was unique, it wasn't everyday that you would get to meet a girl like her... She looked so happy and carefree on the outside but inside, she had problems with her life like every other human being in the world...

Isabella laughed, "Yeah, I guess you have a point." She told him. Everyone had their problems. It was just different. She watched as he pulled into a beautiful field. Watching him get out, she turned the radio on. Izzie found a station that was playing Who Are You When I'm Not Looking by Blake Shelton. This would do for her, and she turned it up. The blonde got out of the truck, and jumped in the bed of his truck. Smiling at him, "Well, you certain come prepared." She giggled a little bit. She picked up a little bit of chocolate, and took a bit. The girl loved chocolate, what girl didn't? Chase just was a great person, but Isabella just wished that he would show this side of him to everyone. But the rest of the world only saw the arrogant jock act, Izzie saw all the good inside of him. She leaned against the side of the bed of the truck. "So enough of me, why don't you tell me a little more about you Chase Barker?" She asked him with a cute, little smile. Izzie had noticed for the past hour they have been talking about only her; now, she wanted to talk a little more about him.

Chase heard music playing and smiled, turning to face Isabella. He also grabbed a bar of chocolate and grinned and Isabella "Well, you can't exactly go on a road trip without a few snacks!" He took a bite of the chocolate and let it melt in his mouth, he tapped his fingers against the side of the truck along with the beat of the music.

When he heard her question, he laughed softly and sighed "Oh there's nothing that interesting in my life..." he turned to look at her and saw Isabella's cute, little curious smile and sighed, shaking his head slowly with a smile on his face "Ok fine... You told me your little 'secret' so I'll tell you mine..." he smiled "It might seem as personal or shocking as yours but it can't get out or else it will ruin me..."

Leaning back onto his truck, he ran a hand through his hair. "As you can probably see, I'm quite obsessed with my reputation and popularity..." he sighed "I wasn't always like this you know... Believe it or not, I used to be one of the nerdiest, skinny, lanky boys in middle school... I was the kid who'd always get shoved into the lockers, the kid who got a slushie thrown in their face, the kid who'd get tossed into the trashcan, the kid who was forced to do everyone's homework...". Chase sighed "Remember Aaron? The idiot in the cafe? Well, he went to the same middle school as me, he used to be one of my main tormentors... I wanted to try and change myself to be like him but once you've gotten yourself associated with a certain clique, it's very hard to get others to see you differently." Turning to her, he smiled sadly "After middle school, I worked out, built up muscle, got to highschool and got myself a place on the football team." he grinned "Isn't it funny how by simply gelling your hair, wearing contacts instead of glasses and getting yourself a place on the football team you can become one of the most popular people in a school?"

Chase laughed softly "So that's my deep dark secret, not much eh? There's you, with a proper secret but me, the only secret that I have is the fact that I was a insignificant little geek in middle school..."

Isabella bit into her chocolate as he talked about his life. She frowned when he talked about him being bullied. The girl knew what that was like. Being bullied for being who you were. Izzie was bullied when she was younger, but she was still bullied now. It wasn't fun, and no one deserved it. Chase was a great person inside and out. He didn't see how great he was, even without his reputation and popularity. She was glad he let her in more. Not helping to wonder, if he had other secrets. However, she wasn't going to push it. A little at a time was good enough for her. She smiled at him. "Hold on," Handing him her chocolate bar, she got up and jumped off the edge of the truck. She opened her door and grabbed one of her bags. Looking over at her guitar case, but didn't take it.

Then, Isabella got out, and went to the back of the truck. She pulled herself back up onto the truck's bed. Sitting down beside Chase, she pulled out her glasses. "You know, I have glasses too. I only need them for reading though." Looking over at him, Izzie gave him a smile. One day, he would know that nothing in this world would last forever. "You know, nothing in this world lasts forever. Popularity, reputations, good looks, youth," Her sapphire blue eyes looked back down at her glasses she held in her hand. "That's why it's important to have no regrets or what ifs, because what seems important right now, won't be later." She smiled softly. Her eyes looking back up at him.
