meredith was a cheerful girl with an exciting attitude. meanwhile he felt out of place, agreeing to her ideas with some hesitation. there had been a time when coen was similar, his ideas always adventurous and his tone never quiet. over the summer vacation his personality had changed; maybe he matured or decided to put a stop to the selfish jock act. this was the first time coen had ever been relatively nice to a girl, maybe it would have been in his best interest not to mess it up. so when meredith lightly kicked at his sides, coen replied in a horse whine. since he was little he had been doing impressions of anything that caught his attention. the whine wasnt all that bad, but easily distinguished. instead of walking, coen galloped to the door, stopping so mere was able to get off. he followed the stranger into the ice cream joint, coen came up behind her and quietly observed; a small smile crossed his face at the sound of meredith cooing towards the ice cream flavors. she acted like a child. not in a bad way, it was refreshing honestly. after she chose, the hipster decided on a dark chocolate cherry almond large ice cream cone. oddly enough ice cream never failed to make the giant parched. he also ordered two dr. peppers. it hadnt taken at all long for their order to be ready. coen handed meres treat to her and a dr pepper, then he took his own order. "um...eat inside or out?"

Isabella smiled at him as he comforted her. She wanted to go right now. It was a crazy idea, but who cared right? "Well..." He said anytime. To her, this was the perfect time. "We could go now. I would just tell them that I was going to spend the night with Lily. I know it's crazy, but why not?" Izzie had a cute, excited smile on her face. She had to do this for herself. She had to know. "They encourage me to go out with friends, so they will be fine." She bit her lip gently, "You don't have to come along if it's to soon, I just want to know." With that in mind, she needed to go with or without him. She had to get this over. She got out a little bag, and put some things in her bag. It wasn't much. Just two outfits, some makeup, straightener, and a few things she needed. Of course, the blonde had put her papers in there as well. Her sapphire blue eyes looked up at him while a smile was on her face. She was thankful he was here for her.

Chase blinked in shock, he had expected her to want to go soon but not that soon! He smiled, he had promised that he would do this for her so he wasn't going to back out, anyway, it wasn't as if he had better things to do. He grinned "That's fine with me!" he stopped to think for a second "You said it's a ten hour drive so we'll probably have to stop off for the night... We could try to find a small place to stay or just a parking lot, my truck's fairly roomy so that could be alright..." He watched her with a smile as she started packing, she was slightly more determined, spontaneous and rebellious than he had thought she would be... He thought for second before turning back to Isabella "I think it'll be kinda suspicious if you left with me or just left pretty soon after I leave." he scratched the back of his neck "I need to grab a few things too so how about I leave now?" he smiled "Just to be careful, how about you get your parents to drop you off somewhere near my house or near Lily's house and then I'll pick you up and take you from there?"

A girlish giggle escaped her lips when he put his hands on her small of the back. she smiled a little and shook her head playfully her head still in the crook of his neck, more like his lower shoulder. He was super tall. And she, she was super short. She smiled and looked up at him the same twinkle in her eyes as his. Her eyes averted as he asked her if she could handle dating him and she scoffed, Pfft as if, do you think you can handle all this raw beauty? she said playfully and pulled away making a weird pose. I'm joking. Aha so do you think you can handle Coen, he's gonna be really angry. . . she said the last part to herself mostly and sighed a little, she was now really scared of what Coen would do. so she thought texting him would be the smartest. hey dude. she let her thumb hoover over the send button before hastily clicking send and shoving it back in the butt pocket of her high rise shorts. She smiled as he said that he would always take care of her and not let his friend make fun of her, she smiled a little. She let her gingerly grin take over her face and then a blush formed. um. .. . . aha. . . thanks babe. she said just as gingerly as the smile that was on her face.

Isabella smiled at him, "As long as you don't mind skipping school for a couple of days." Sure, she was nervous because she never missed school, but this was an exception. The blonde was never to be the one to go out on a limb, to take a chance, be rebellious, but there was a first time for everything, right? Listening to him talk, she nodded her head. "Sounds like a plan. Um... I will have them drop me at the cafe. I will tell them I am meeting Lily there for dinner." Izzie told him with a smile. She made sure everything was packed.

After Chase had left, she walked out of the room. She waited about ten minutes, and walked into the living room with her 'parents'. "Hey, my friend Lily asked me if I wanted to spend a couple of nights at her place. Is that okay?" She asked them. "I know it's a school night, but she is in a few of my classes and could help me." They looked at each other, and they nodded. They said it would be okay. "Thanks! I am going to the cafe to eat dinner with her. Could one of you drop me off there, it's a bit of a walk." Her father had agreed to drop her off.

When Izzie and her father arrived to the cafe, he looked at her. "I am really glad you are liking it here and are making friends, sweetheart." About the time the blonde opened the door, he spoke. "I love you honey." Isabella gave him a little smile. However, all she could think about is how they lied to her all this time. Then she got out, and walked into the cafe with her bag. The girl sat down on the chair, waiting for Chase. Her eyes looking around to see if Chase's friends were here, but she didn't see any of them. Closing her eyes, she took in a deep breath as she was nervous about the whole road trip.

Opening her eyes, she remembered something she needed to do. The seventeen year old pulled out her phone. Pulling up Lily's numbers from when they exchanged them. Hey Lilly, um, I won't be at school for a few days. I am going on a road trip. It was a short notice kind of thing. I will tell you everything when I get back I promise! I told my parents I was spending a few nights at your place. I hope that's okay. There is just something I have to do.

Chase smiled and said a soft goodbye to her before leaving. Saying goodbye to Isabella's a parents, he then got into his truck and drove home.

Going into his house, he headed upstairs and quickly grabbed a bag from behind his door and threw it onto his bed. Shifting through his clothes, he pulled out a pair of jeans, two t shirts, a pair of shorts and a jumper. He then changed his current outfit into one with a pair of tracksuits, a t shirt and a warm red hoodie. He then grabbed a few pairs of underwear, a few pairs of socks, a tub of hair gel, a comb, toothpaste and a toothbrush. Throwing it all into his bag, he then pulled his sleeping bag out from under his bed and took a few spare blankets too. Throwing in his wallet along with two large packs of cheetos and a stack of chocolate, he grinned. That was that. Just to be a little 'prepared' he also grabbed a pair of sunglasses, who knows when they might come in handy.

Picking up his bag and tucking his rolled up sleeping bag under one arm, he headed downstairs again. His parents were in the living room, watching tv. So was his little sister, Lucy. Smiling, he put down his things and went over to his little sister first, putting his large hands over her tiny eyes "Hey Lucy... Guess who..." smiling, he let go and ruffled her hair, making her giggle and squeal. Chase then turned to his parents "Oh hey, I'm gonna be staying at a friend's house for a bit, we need to work on something together and we need to start getting to know each other and whatever." His parents looked at him with a questioning glare for a few moments until his fun stood up and gave him a kiss on his forehead "Oh Chase..." she said softly "What am I going to do with you?" she sighed and shook her head with a knowing smile on her face "Anyway, off you go, text me every night though and enjoy yourself!"

Grinning, Chase said goodbye before picking up his bag and his sleeping bag again and heading out the door. He then threw his stuff into the back of his pick up truck. He then pulled out the canvas sheet that was tucked away in his truck and spread it over the back of the pick up truck, fastening the straps. It might rain and they may need more room to put things... Anyway, it was good to be prepared.

Starting up the engine, he drove down the street to the cafe. Seeing it immediately brought back the memories of what had happened earlier tonight into his head. He glanced around, hoping that the guys weren't here. To his relief, it seemed as if they had gone. Heading into the cafe, he saw Isabella and shot her a smile "Come on Izzie!" he said with a huge grin on his face "Let's go!"

Isabella put her phone away after texting Lily. When she say Chase pulled up, a smile appeared on her face. Quickly, she grabbed her bag and ran out the door. Running over to the passenger side and hopped in. Looking at him, with a nervous smile. "I am really nervous. I've never done anything like this before." Izzie put her bag in the bag, and looked at him, "It's a town called Jackson. Honestly, she was scared, but excited as well. So many things could happen in these very few days. Hopefully, Lily got her text and cover for her. The blonde had so many things. "The sun's almost setting. We could get a few hours out, and stop at a motel. I can pay for it." The girl would sleep in the truck, but it made her nervous. She would be afraid someone would stop by. A motel was a safer bet. She had money saved up for years in her account. This road trip might be the best thing that has ever happened to her though. In a way, she was ready.

Chase smiled as he got back into his red pick up truck "We'll be fine. It will be an adventure!" As she talked, he quickly made noted, Jackson, it sounded familiar, he could always just type it into the sat nav. Listening, he nodded "Ok, that sounds good to me. Hearing that she wanted to pay, Chase shook his head "Nope, I've got money too. If you're not going to let me pay for all of it, at least let me pay for half the room." he smiled "Anyway, just get a small room with a single bed, I've got a sleeping bag and some blankets so I could just sleep on the floor. He looked out the window, there was some light, hopefully they make it for a while. As he drove along, he turned to Isabella with a smile "So Izzie..." he said with a smile "Are you nervous or excited or both?" he asked casually, since they were gonna be driving for a bit, they might as well chat.

Isabella laughed, "Okay, you can pay half." She said with a smile. Listening to his question, "I am both. I think I am more nervous." She let out a deep breath she was holding it in. "It's just... Lily noticed that he had faltered slightly when she had asked if he wanted to have dinner. Panic immediately entered her mind, what if she had been too quick? She hadn't really thought it through as to what it might mean, she was just feeling hungry and it had just come out. It's not really that fancy but they do simple little meals that are pretty tasty..." she then felt nervous, what if he was just being polite and didn't actually want to stay here? Jesse grinned wider as he noticed the wave of emotions flooding over her beautiful face as Lilly though about. His wide dimpled smile faded into more of a crooked, cheeky one which was so adorable that it made the hearts of many girls jump right out of their chests. He at once realized that Lilly was worried that she was acting too fast. He could read her like a book. Most of the times. This is what made Jesse more and more attracted to her. At times, she was so obvious to him and other times she was like the Rubix cube very hard to figure out. But he loved the adventure. She made him think.

"Lilly chill darling!"he laughed taking her soft hand once again. "Its quite blatant that I love you...I would so just about anything to spend time with you because you are my girl, Lill."he said in his clear British accent. "I think you are thinking that I dont want to have dinner with you thanks to my choking a little while earlier...that was just because I think thats ace! Having dinner with you I mean...So yeah...if you want to eat here in this cosy place sure no problem for me...but if you want to have er a posh date..."he continued with a wink and leaning closer. "I sure am up for it!"he grinned his chocolate brown eyes shining.
