She stepped out of the land rover carefully, a duffel bag's strap slung on her shoulder. She adjusted it before
looking around. No wonder they had been sent here; it looked like a wasteland. It would be obvious they were
going to be here a while on their little cleaning duty trip. It amused her, really, to see land like this because then
they had the opportunity to make it look beautiful again. The nuclear plant had obviously scared off most of the
nature and animals here, which was terrifying in reality as the silence was nearly deafening, and she felt the urge
to scream and run for some reason. The place just made her nervous, all of it. Alice shifted her weight and took
a few steps forward, looking up at the building they were going to stay at. "I'll go second, then," she said with a bit of
hesitation, but began walking forward nevertheless.

Valentine cast a look over at Becket and the others, then sighed and shifted his weight. "I can't be the only one
who has a really uneasy feeling about this, right?" he asked, quickly running a hand through his clean white hair.
      One thing about him: he had a huge obsession with keeping his hair clean, considering how white it was and all;
it gave off a sloppy appearance if it was all dirty. When Alice stepped forward he watched, though didn't walk
forward himself. He did understand the rules, and part of him wanted to go out and explore the perimeter of the
area they were designated to, but it made him a little timid nevertheless, and that was quite unnerving as he wasn't
commonly the timid type. His eyes returned to Becket and he offered a rare assuring smile. "It'll be fine. No need
to look like you're about to break with how tense you are and all."

lou nodded as alice and eva stepped in. girls. girls. girls. girls beat him. ahhhh! but, he couldn't help from admitting he was rather nervous. following alice, he stepped in. but rather than stepping in hesitantly like the others, he, instead strolled in acting as if he didn't care. he flicked his hair which was slowly starting to cover both his eyes, rather than just his right. his beanie hat shifted, which this time he was wearing, not a cap like usual. to be honest, lou preferred this beanie hat more. it was...comfier you could say. "ah you wimps! it's not that hard to walk into a building! it's barely even crumbling!" he laughed, now realizing what he had been doing; scaredying out of something easy. "i gotta admit, i was kinda scared but honestly, swear down; you won't die." he grinned, trying to lighten up the mood. "plus, there's no need to be boring and silent. it's getting late, so we can't exactly start work because of the rules, so we could atleast talk and laugh and stuff." lou continued. being boring is not the way to life. being fun, loving and enjoying life is. "so, what do you all say to some food? i'm starving! i have... umm" he checked his black rucksack. " i have 5 hotdogs if anyone wants one. one less but, i'll go without one if ya'll are hungry."
[sorry for not posting both my characters in the same post. i didn't have the muse but now i'm into the rp and stuff so :3 that's why lou's post is longer than eva's.]

Finch Marie Keller

she follows after the other girls of their group. walking in the front door, she looks around the entry room, books lay thrown across the whole room. She took a small breath, staring around in awe. Mojo let out a mew as he pawed at the front of his cage. Hush Mojo. She says softly as she takes a few steps to reach the stairs that extended at least ten floor above ground. Building E was the last building to be evacuated, so this was the place the last group of people were in before they were evacuated. She murmers her eyes fixed upon everything, even down to the single tiles on the floor. She rested her hand upon the hand railing on the left side of the stairs. She stuck her finger through one of the holes to stroke Mojo's tiny paw.

Becket Hudson Keller

He smiles back at Valentine. That boy had always been kinda cute. Come on guys, they left us outside. He says tripping, as Danger tries to pull him inside. A dog stands not very far from them growling and foaming at the mouth. Danger barks, and Becket slowly turns his head to see the snarling dog. Guy, I really think we should get inside now. He whispers as more dogs get up on the road from the surrounding trees.

eva grinned. hotdogs. eagerly she nodded. then, decided to calm down a tiny bit. "umm... lou, can i have one?" then she waited a second before doing puppy dog eyes, showing of her teeth and begging "plleeeeeeeaaasseee! with a cherry on top!". she watched as lou did one of those 'grow up' faces before rolling his eyes and giving her a hot dog. eva smiled and gave him a high five. "thanks" she whispered before slowly eating her hot dog, not trying to look too scruffy, but not trying to look too... girly. then she decided, what the poop eva? why not just scoff it down normally? so with no over thoughts eva just swallowed her hotdog all in one then laughed awkwardly. "ehem, sorry about that but wherever we are, i'm still eating eva style."after that she turned to finch and nodded. she rustled through her bag, which wasn't a handbag for your information, and turned on a torch as the room suddenly went pitch black. she shone it at finch, and the realized it could strain her eyes and dimmed the light a tiny bit. eva's tongue piercing shone as she spoke "really? well... i hope they got out safe". eva twisted around. this could have been where her family were before the evacuation. no, they were opposite this building; she was positive as she begun to remember what it was like, running up and down the stairs and then peering at the used to be beautiful building. all the paint was now scratched, the tiles ruined and even some of the walls splatted with blood. a tear ran down her face as she remembered her friend, her old friend, casey. eva never got to learn her second name. she would live here and they would mess about all the time... but she was killed. she was one of the last to escape. no, she was the last to escape. though, she never did escape. a pack of dogs surrounded her, snarling at her. all eva wanted to do was save her, but her mother held her back and dragged her on. she was sure that casey was killed when she heard a scream. by now several tears were running down her face. "sorry" she apologized before moving away from the doorway to her own corner. within seconds she went from happy to crying from memories.
[eva's post really got to me. i kinda feel sad now ;-;.]

Alice watched as the blue-haired boy stepped in without a care and she offered a small smile before letting her bag
fall to the floor near the back of the large room. She wanted to look around for now and examine the place; she
could grab her stuff later. For now she picked up a random book that was strewn on the floor, lifting it to her face
and flicking through the water-worn and slightly-burnt pages. It was a novel, a romance novel to be precise. There
wasn't much to read, but she flipped to a page where the girl and the boy were confessing their love for each other.
The thought made her smile, but she really found it hard to think about love at a time like this. She had never been
the type to attract most boys; they tended to leave her behind and go for the more popular, outgoing ones. The
brunette carefully carried the falling-apart book to her bag and set it atop the small thing, wanting to read what
wasn't burnt or damaged later. "You aren't supposed to share your food, Louis," she teased him, plopping down
next to her bag and just sitting, peeling through the novel again.

Valentine smiled a little wider when he made the younger boy grin as well, and after that his eyes trailed back
to the others, who were entering the house. It felt nice to be somewhere this silent and it was strangely serene,
though with the occasional ominous caw of a crow or the growl of a dog in the distance, it made it just as creepy.
He heard the growling first but didn't pay attention to it, guessing it was Danger instead, but when he heard the
bark from right beside them he whirled around to see the rottweiler dog just a few meters away, the dog obviously
infected with some sort of disease. He guided Becket behind him, not wanting him to face the wrath of the stray.
"Move inside slowly, okay?" he said, voice low and calm. "Keep calm; don't make any sudden movements." He waited
for the smaller boy to move first before he would follow.

lou rolled his eyes at eva as she begged him. "grow up" he mouthed to her and she smiled. it felt good to make someone smile, even if they were a girl. he stared at the other hotdogs. if no-one wants them today... they'll all be his!
no, lou, you've got to be... uhh, generous. he laughed as alice told him not to share his food. " yeah well... uhh... i only wanna be generous, dude...ette. if you've got a problem with hot dogs, just say it loud! don't complain to me" he smiled. it wasn't a huge smile, it wasn't a grin... it was just a weak smile. a somewhat weak smile... it was a smile. lou moved his hair to the side with his hand now, his 'bracelet's' falling towards his elbow, moving back towards his wrist when he moved his hand. he heard a sudden sob, coming from eva and frowned. were the hotdogs really that bad? but, lou knew it wasn't that as she apologized and moved away. he walked towards her and hesitantly put his hand on her shoulder. he really didn't want it to look like he loved her. "whats wrong?" he asked her, but she refused to answer. lou nodded, knowing that when eva never answers you and she's upset, then she want's to be left alone. he moved away and went back to his rucksack, wrapping up the hotdogs and placing them in his bag, zipping it up and hoping the scent wouldn't attract any creatures. he threw his rucksack to one side. he wandered to the window and smiled. despite it being run down, broken and abandoned, the town was actually rather beautiful under the moonlight sky with the stars reflecting in the puddles. he grinned to himself. it wasn't going to be that bad after all.

Alice heard the small sobs as well and immediately her gaze was cast over to the girl who was crying, and when she
watched Eva turn Louis away she was quite surprised. Maybe the girl just didn't want to speak to guys right now?
The brunette sighed lightly and closed the novel again, and it found its home on the duffel bag once more. She
walked over to Evalyn silently and sat beside her, resting a hand on her shoulder and giving her the most gentle
of shakes. "Hey, hey, Eva, what's wrong?" she asked in a sympathetic, caring voice. Just minutes ago she was
beaming and cheerful, but now she was sad? "It's okay, you can tell me. If you don't want to, though, that's okay
too... I just want to help, y'know? I'd feel bad if you were walking around sad all day the first day of this huge
adventure cleaning trip thing." She chuckled softly and drew her hand away, sitting next to the girl and awaiting
a response if one was to be given. Alice quickly shot Louis a glance, and if he caught it he would be able to
understand she was trying to help.

eva smiled weakly. she nodded at alice. "i..i'll t-tell you." she let out a deep breathe. boy this was the girliest she had been in a while. with tears still streaming down her face she begun. "it's memories. i used to live opposite here and i had a best friend named casey. we'd known each other ages yet i never learnt her second name. it all happened so quickly. we were all being evacuated and..." she took a break then begun again. "a stray dog pack started crowding around her once everyone else had escaped. i screamed and wanted to go save her but my mother grabbed my arm and dragged me on. i tried to escape her hold but i knew it was too late when i heard her scream and a victorious bark. it's just... memories." she finished. the tears weren't running anymore and eva was rubbing away the remaining ones. she stood up and then said "sorry if i sound attention-seeker-ish, but it's just... this building...it reminds me of everything. even the simplest thing like the candy floss machine." eva let out a smile. "sorry to bother you and sorry lou i didn't talk to you... it's just best to talk with the same gender when you have problems" she smiled. she gave alice a hug and said "thanks for cheering me up, alice."
[sorry for the wait. i'm like lou; easily distracted.]

She knew that everyone needed to cry at one point or another, but it was still a little unsettling to see the usually
strong Evalyn break down and cry. The older girl had tugged her braid to one side and was absentmindedly fiddling
with the end strands, and she listened to the story with a heavy heart. "That sounds terrible.." she murmured softly,
hugging the girl back when she felt arms around her in the embrace. "I'm sure Casey is in a better place now, though.
She's probably happier than she'll ever be, or maybe just as happy when she had you as a friend. She'll be fine where
she is now, I promise. I guess the heavens needed a lovely angel like her, huh?" She offered a small smile and gave Eva a
small squeeze, then pulled away from the hug. "No problem! It's the least I can do as a friend; wouldn't want you to be
sad." Alice paused for a moment, flicking her braid back behind her. "Tell me... Are there still stray dogs here? I don't
remember a thing from the people who were introducing us to the place when they warned us about the animals." She
sheepishly chuckled, hoping that they could find some better weapons in time in case they needed them. Alice had
brought a pocket knife, but it wouldn't be able to protect her much from the birds and the rats and, most especially,
the dogs. She wasn't aware of the slightest of what was going down outside with Val and Becket.

      { no worries! it's perfectly fine. c: }
