- Drew was going to be king, be a leader, be a general sociopath, blah blah blah. She'd heard it all before, and not least from the dark haired boy himself. Plus, she'd totally listened into some of his meetings with the counselor, but, pfft, she knew he probably did too. Scarlet traded in secrets and hair products, after all. "Oh, Drew. Drew, darling. Honey. Be quiet. You're giving the grownups a headache." She propped herself up on the table, crossing her legs and watching events unfold, adding an occasional comment under her breath. She caught Emily's, who was probably a psychopath, glance and returned a thin lipped smile. Dear God, she was stuck with a bunch of creeps. Then, Amanda went and did it. She went and kissed Mars. Scarlet laughed out loud. "Darling, if you're that desperate to be noticed by Drew, Mars really isn't the way to go. Like, seriously, hun, bad choice. Bad, bad, choice. You'd be better going for..." The clear, dulcet tones trailed off as she just noticed the idiot standing beside her, gazing at her every so often. She was used to gazes, hello, she was beautiful, but this kid was just about getting on her last nerve. Davy Hogan, she remembered his details now, from the file. Real name Henry, had some sort of family issues (tear tear, didn't they all?), and he was 'remarkably ignored and abused by his peers'. She didn't care, and right now, the kid was irking her even more than usual. "Do you think I care if you're hungry? Go get some food, not that you need it. God. Don't talk to me."
More alpha male posing between Mars and Drew, more cajoling from Amanda- honestly, didn't the girl know there was no hope for the boy? and Drew was gone. Scarlet shot Mars a look as she followed, hoping that it would convey a positive spectrum of emotions- amusement, irony, and a look that said she was going to get her job done. Even if it meant putting up with Drew for ten minutes. She walked slowly, adjusting her watch around her wrist, and then paused just outside his door. The gold letters were ridiculous, another sign of Drew's awful ego problem. She stopped, resting her head on the doorframe and letting her lips curl once more into that knowing smirk. "Gosh, Drew, you look like that statue. The Thinking Man? Something like that?." She pushed her hand through her hair, leaving lines through the damp, and sat on the small, metal, depressing desk that all the students were supplied with. She pretended to think for a moment, pursing her lips and finally speaking. "What's your plan, Drew? Who are your people? I mean, you know that Mars and I are the only people you can actually trust? Actually, screw Mars, add in Amanda, though I think that if you break her poor heart any more she'll try to kill you." She smiled as if the words amused her, though she knew that she'd be the one to kill Drew if she had the chance.

- Quinn blinked, looked around at the group, and blinked again. "Uh." He didn't know what to think or do- why was everyone berating him? He was just a simple seventeen year old boy who was getting really desperate without some girls to flirt with! Okay, yeah, there was the three girls in the group, but they all sort of terrified him. Climbing the popularity ladder like a champion used to be Quinn's game, and without it he was lost. He didn't even have a ladder to climb. He looked at Kevin for a moment at the dude's little outburst, then shrugged, turning to Mia again. She was slightly less crazy in a world full of insanity. Oh my God, that was so poetic. He had to use that line at some point. "Where do ye and your da live?"
Mia, who seemed fascinated by the snake coiled around Hannah-Nora's waist, jumped slightly and tilted her head at him. "Oh, hi! You know the house just underneath the hillll leading to Coatessss? I live there with Daddyyyyy." Again with the elongationnn of the syllabless, but Quinn blinked as he realized just what this girl was. He saw that house every time he drove up to Coates at the start of term; it was hard to miss. It had a huge, beautiful garden, all bright colours and emeralds, and the house itself was a mansion. Mostly white and black marble that was polished to a gleam, ivy creeped up the walls of the house and around the pillars that supported the porch, there was a rumour around Coates that the heavy oak doors never opened, not for anybody. Quinn used to dream of living in a house like that, of being rich. He wasn't so sure now, since the girl who did live there seemed to have stopped growing up when she was about five years old. Mia looked at him now questioningly, her earbuds dangerously close to her ears again, and Quinn talked quickly. "Wow. Isn't that house like a few acres or something? At least?" Mia frowned, looking confused. "I think it's more than a few acres? A few miles, at least, Daddy said once he owned most of the land around here."
"What do ye mean by around here?" Quinn was tentative.
"You know the cliffs to theeee... east of townnn? He said once he owns everything from there toooo the school up the hilll."
Quinn blinked. That was the whole town, or practically. He looked over at Kevin, raising his eyebrows and placing his hand on Hannah-Nora's head, pushing her away so he could get a word in edgeways. "Ye're hearing this too, righ'?"
