Jessi was quite shocked at the Nazi's sudden actions: Pulling her best and only two friends with him, shoving past her, and going into a secret 'oooh big 'n bad' safe room sorta thing, all the while, locking her out in the rain. Drops of water slashed across her cheek, making her position somewhere near the security padlock the dude had. It was quite funny how much some ignorant people underestimated her and her ability. She quickly observed it for a moment and then reached out to start her magic but then something happened. A gunshot blasted from behind the wall. Cassie never knew had to use a gun properly. A hole shot through the wall, ruining the security padlock. Perfect. Now she didn't have to do anything.
But then something even more absurd happened.
Jared Winston, --aka; her and Cass's camera man and her friend-- or also known as Winny is her mind, grabbed her through the wall and pulled hard, tugging her. Something was terribly wrong. First she had had powers and healed the little Devil inside with her friend, and second ... well ... her little camera man was walking through walls. Just peachy. Maybe she was going a little insane. But, apparently, there was no time to waist because Jared was grabbing a hold of her and instantly, they both were in the 'safe room' they had earlier ran to.
Jessi instantly spotted the following: Cassie, hunched over in the room, and near her, was the Nazi. Mr. Curly boy. Gosh, she hated him. With Jared beside her and a gun in his hands, not looking all too well, she stood tall, straight, arms crossed and feet positioned a little far apart. Sure, in Cassie's opinion, all Russians were all too boastful, arrogant and a little too bull-headed. But, of course, that was Cassie, even though she was actually a little like that. "Now," She jeered, sending death glares to everybody in the room. Now ... However, Jared was shockingly speaking that nasty language of German. "Before we get started, does anybody want to back out?"

    J A C K ~ p o w e r l e s s ~ S T U D E N T t a g g e d ----> micah

When Jack came back to the front of the house, Micah was herding kids into the houses. Jack looked up and saw a wave of water crash down far away. His skin went pale and he walked backward in a daze. However, Micah's voice snapped him out of his stupor. Quick, take these supplies to the town hall! Jack grabbed the supplies and ran as fast as he could to the town hall, and toward the water. He ran into the door at full speed, unable to slow himself down. Jack fumbled with the door handle, then ran inside. He ran up to the nearest person and handed them off to the man, then ran back outside. The water was much closer now. Jack ran back to the house, trying to keep his breath even. He wasn't all too good at it. When he reached Micah, the kid was still herding kids into houses, shouting at the oldest ones. Jack bent over with his hands on his knees, breathing heavily.

"I took the supplies," Jack breathed to Micah. He stood up, taking in a big breath of air, then walked into the house he'd patched up. He followed the kids into the house and into the basement. It was a bit cramped down there, but Jack successfully found a box holding a Christmas Tree and sat on it. He didn't think they'd be needing it any longer. He then looked around for Micah, making sure the young man had found his way down there.

location: outside;; mood: in pain, irritable;; tagged: Jack;; power: emotional morph & four bar.

Micah felt rustled into the room, something he really didn’t approve of, but didn’t really have a chance to argue about it either. In the cramped space, of smelling body odors and seeing kid’s face every place he turned, he scowled, already hating himself for going in. He was being a coward. That was the hard thing to admit: defeat. If he wanted to, he could have just pretended like he had fallen behind. Behind with his Mama and Papa, and gone off to see them wherever that could be. But he didn’t.
The African-American boy immediately felt space spread and people peel away from him. They were entering the basement. He caught sight of Drew and Amanda and looked away. Then he spotted Jack. As much as he hated to admit it, the boy wasn’t too bad of company. Until, that was, when it came to arguing about scientific research. He came over, his dark eyes scanning the periphery of kids, some old, some young, all getting situated in their “camping area” until the tink, tink, tinking of rain drops ceased from ahead. This was going to be a long and dreaded camp night.
He waded over to Jack. “Hey, travelin’ Jack,” He said, smirking a little. Why not put on a pleasant face? It wasn’t like he could do anything else. Unless get drunk. When it came to getting drunk, that was one service he could offer without grumble. He said down, wincing a little. His leg had stopped bleeding a while ago, and even though the pain killers did some part of the trick, it wasn’t all of it. There was still a gnawing, angry pain deep in his leg. And for a moment he wondered if he had got a nerve or something. Nah: if he had gotten a nerve, he’d be bawling. And Micah Judd was not one to bawl in front of people.
“I don’t think this is just going to be some summer camp,” he muttered.

Her nose was falling off—this is what she was sure of. Cassie wobbled, too infatuated with the gushing of her nose to take into account balance. Her nose! Had she shot it clean off? The pain was enough, a violent pulsing in her nose that made her grimace. And then suddenly somebody was grabbing her, but the Youtuber—engrossed with how much blood she was losing and, definitely feeling light-headed—barely noticed.
It was when she heard the guttural dialect that she looked up from her hand, cupping her nose. “Jawed?” Wow. Was that her voice? It sounded nasally and raspy. She glanced at Karsten… who was holding her. Oh. So that was who it was. Huh. Then she saw the gun in Jared’s hand. “Holwey Zaba ze unkey, Jawed! Whah are you doin’!?” Cassie let go of her handful of blood, letting the frothy crimson splat to the ground. She shook her hand in an attempt to get free of it.
Jessi was there. Cassie blinked. How did…? She raised a finger, pointing to the wall, where Jessi had been outside. Until, that was, Jared had pulled her through. Hmm. Pulled her through. Yeah… that… um, that sounded—
“I’m going to pass out,” she choked, falling limp against Karsten. Why was he even holding her in the first place? She wasn’t of any use to him. Unless she was being used as a hostage. “And… and then I’m going to have a seizure. Yep. I’m 43% sure this time.”

"You know what? I am so fed up with your stupidity tha-" He stopped himself. He would dare. Karsten wouldn't dare to let foggy vision and a rush of adrenalin get tahr best of him. It wasn't going to happen. She wasn't worth it. "I'm not your enemy. Stop trying to make me one, it's useless. This isn't your town, get it in your brain. You can't control us. I was only trying to help these guys, and I was going to let you in here if Jared here would've given me a moment more." The dog sat in the corner, surprisingly just watching everything. He never made a peep.
"I saw a man. Somebody. Before the flash, since the camera has color, it was pale skin and dark eyes. That's all I saw. If you would only listen to me we could find out why we are trapped."
"I just don't understand why you acting acting this way around me. Was I the one who wanted myself to join your little group? No! Am I the one who let everyone to safety? Think about it." Karsten focused on a battery-powered lantern that was the only source of light, at least what everyone in the room though, and with a loud pop noise the bulb exploded inside the class. The room went pitch-black, and Karsten managed to skitter across the room, swiping the gun out of Jared's hand and feeling along the wall, listening for signs of movement. All he heard was the sound of Bullenbeisser panic and run frantically around the room, every once in a while ramming into Karsten's legs. "It's amazing what you can do, Jessica. But what's ironic that if you lay a finger on me, the more energy you give out." Karsten knew that she couldn't hurt him in any way possible, but one glance at her and she's out cold, or worse. Yet when Jessi had elbowed Karsten, it hurt like heck. She never made contact with his skin.
Karsten was learning to control his power every moment he used it without draining his own energy. Earlier that day he had been knocked unconscious by his own ability, yet now he just blew up a lightbulb without feeling lightheaded, or even feathered. He quickly took out the bullets of the gun, stuffing them in his pocket.

Drew rushed into the crowded room with Amanda by his side, still desperately clutching his hand. It was a good comfort that filled deep within. The warmth from her palm to his that tingled up his spine. Something ... something unexplainable. He staggered onward, shouldering through the rattling crowd until he found a small cot of sorts and sat slowly on it. The Latina girl's words thudded in his ears, making him think all too hard. And where was Scarlet now? Mars? Anybody? As he scanned the room, he barely spotted a single Coates kid. All most every single one of them were townies besides him, Amanda, Mars and Scarlet. He was right. Right about how the townies were most likely to team up together and push them away to up the hill again. They were only there to help anyway. Why push them back?

He hesitated before looking up into Amanda's eyes as he sat slumped over a little farther. "To be honest," Drew mumbled as he chewed nervously on his thumbnail, obviously deep in thought somewhere else away from the crowded place. "I'm not really sure."

Jessi stood firm, only cocking a sharp dark eyebrow in retort to the Nazi's sweet talk. He only stood around three inches taller than her, since, she was, actually quite tall compared to many girls. Of course, that was because she came from a tall family. He seemed younger than her, maybe by a year or less. And he was definitely not fighting worthy.
"Oh, well, I am quite sorry to hear that. I happen to be quite tired of you, actually." She mused, her deep voice low for the German not to hear her. She watched his every move, eying him with her sharp hawk's gaze. Her arms were crossed tightly over her chest and her feet separated far enough in her bulky boots to give her a indifferent look. The next part to his words were surprising, but of course, how could, or would, anybody normal know what she could do?" Amusing, actually. However, she just watched and waited for the curly haired boy to stop jabbering.

The Nazi clearly seemed to think he ruled the roost here. Maybe he did. Here anyway. Not her friends or her place or her town. His basement, sure, yeah, he could have that but would control her friends. Jessi harshly moved past him, digging a sharp and forceful shoulder into him as she crossed the room over to Cassie where she knelt on one knee and lifted her friend up with her brawny arm. Cassie wasn't all too well and she blamed the Nazi all too much. She nose was gushing blood which ran down her face into her mouth a little and the towel was doing nothing to prevent the blood flow. "It'll be okay, Cass. Just hold on a little longer until the storm stops, okay?" Her voice was softened now, light and calm, almost soothing in a tone that she knew Cassie wouldn't buy. She craned her neck to look back over at the Nazi and with glaring, narrowed eyes, she spoke up in a deep Russian accented voice that cut through the room. "Wow ... That was sure a mouth full. Good job, dear." Her sarcasm was cold and yet she did not smirk or give any indentation to her humor.

Jessi wasn't too close to the German and yet she wasn't too far parted from him either. "Okay, so there are a few things I don't understand. Now, it could be that accent of yours that sounds like you are slurping your own saliva, or whatever but I don't know." She weighted Cass with most of her body, and yet she wasn't even thinking about her friend. "First off, banana-balls, won't make it out of here. Alive anyway. If you don't know anything about radiation, than I suggest you do go ahead and do your work. Second off ..." Jessi glanced him up and down a little, eyebrows now furrowed tightly. "Вы один странный человек ..." was the Nazi truly ... well ... insane? talking about seeing some man? totally banana-balls. totally in every way possible.

Amanda ran into the basement with him, maybe holding his hand a little too tightly, but she didn't care. He was the only person she wanted to trust right now, and she felt happy enough to be with him. But when they got into the basement, fear tore through her as she saw that most of the people here were townies. The townies hated them! "T-they're going to kill us, Drew. There's only a few of us here, the rest of them are townies. They're going to kill us." He almost pulled him down with her as he sat, since she wouldn't let go of his hand. She sat besides him, her heart pounding, her body shaking. She leaned her head on his shoulder, even though he was quite a bit taller than her. "We're going to die, Drew. We.. I don't want to die. i'm really scared." Why was she pouring out her feelings to him? Because she trusted him, that's why. It felt so good to trust someone, for once. And he was the only one here who she would trust. She stayed beside him, leaned against him, feeling happy, actually. Even if they were going to die, she'd be with someone she liked. "Drew… i trust you." She whispered, closing her eyes for a few moments, his hand still in hers.

Jared tried to snatch back at the pistol, but he had to face facts: the lights had gone out and he couldn't see a thing. He was relieved, though, to hear the clip slide out and the bullets, one by one, be ejected. Still one in the chamber, though. He'd been around the two military-raised girls often enough to know that much. He barely listened as Karsten kept droning on about how he was of no threat. Jared would beg to differ --- in his book, anyone who stole a gun from you while you were trying to free your friend from who you believed to be a psycho, even if it was half-way unloaded, was to be considered a threat. Especially if Jared found that he was being slightly irritated by said threat.

He lifted his feet, shifting uncomfortably, his feet making a slight sucking sound as they came up from soupy concrete. The fact rang a small bell in Jared's mind, but he had to focus. Focus on sound in the pitch darkness. He waited, counting breaths as Karsten kept talking. Something caught his attention for only a second: Karsten thought that this entire situation --- the dome, the disappearance of the adults --- was caused by someone? Not some cosmic joke? It made sense to Jared. Why not? If his friend, who was so talented at inflicting pain could heal people, why not this irony? But, that wasn't the task at hand, was it?

He focused. Focused until Karsten had stopped talking. By the end of his spiel, Jared had a fairly good idea of where Karsten was standing, which direction he was facing. It was difficult with the mutt barking its head off, but he managed. And then Jared did something very unlike himself; the scaredy cat that he had always been crawled out of the little shelter he had made himself. He charged, kind of like how a football player would. His shoulder rammed into Karsten, knocking him to the ground. Jared distinctly heard the pistol skitter across the floor, somewhere toward Jessi. He yelled for her to grab it as he pushed himself away from Karsten and towards Cassie, grabbing onto her hand and pulling both of them up.

"Listen," Jared said, slightly panting from the adrenaline of it all. "The fact is that everything has been chaos since the adults disappeared. I'm pretty sure that all we want is to go home and wait this thing out, see if the military can somehow get through the barrier. We appreciate your help," --- well, maybe not Jessi. Jared quickly cast a glance in her direction, but he couldn't see her in the darkness. He had a feeling, though, that she had the pistol --- "but we just need to go home. So, if you wouldn't mind just letting us go in peace, I think we'd all be better off."

It was incredibly droll about what the young boy alleged; prattling on and on regarding her and enemies and blabber, blabber, blabber. Moreover what the Nazi carped about, her awareness was stole from the mutt in the crook. It appeared well banged as of the van mishap previously on in the day. Then something happened ... Something odd. The Nazi had hindered his natter by closing his orifice and was gazing at a lamp ..., which also only seemed to be the same one lighting the region they stood.

As soon as she had noticed him hearting the beam, it burst, glass spraying over the floor. The lights went out. Pitch filled the room along with a pure moment of silence and heavy breathing. However, she heard a scuffle near herself to Jared. Why was Jared moving? Nevertheless, it was not Jared. It was the Nazi. Moreover, he had moved again, somewhere near the other side of the room.

Jessi did not panic. She stood firm in her own ground right near Cassie who was slumping, and waited. Her ears, on the other hand, picked up the noise of bullets becoming ejected from the pistol Cassie had taken from her father. Foolish girl. Number 1 rule: Never fire a weapon without knowing how to use it properly. Number 2 rule: Cassie should never have a gun in the first place. But she should have shot The Nazi when she had the chance. Jessi, herself, would but it would not make things any better. Or would they?
Now there was a dreadful sound of football players in tackle mode, scrambling over each other near the other side of the room. Then the noise she had been waiting for. Jessi knelt and grasped the 9 .mm in her preparing hands and held it high, her eyes somewhat adjusting to the dark. She, as Jared knew also, there was still one more bullet left in the chamber. She felt Jared brushing beside her, holding Cassie up. They were all leaning against the wall, prepared and a lot more wise than the loony was. And now his outline was getting the slightest visible to her night eyes. Perfect.

"Now, Nazi, how about you let us outta here, will you?"

YOU GOT DESIGNER SHADES
AND I GOT COMEDY TASTE,
AND YOU WEAR THEM AROUND
LIKE YOU'RE COOLER THAN ME.

AND YOU NEVER SAY "HEY,"
OR REMEMBER MY NAME.
AND IT'S PROBABLY CAUSE
YOU THINK YOU'RE
COOLER THAN ME.
Cassie wobbled a bit in the dark. She was still so focused on how her nose gushed, something like one of those gaggingly nude fountain angel-guys who's face had been rearranged and now plastered with devil horns. Yep. This was all the devil's fault. The blonde felt along the walls with her finger tips, until catching a piece of clothing. "Jared?" She muttered, wiping at her nose. It was no use. And the bickering Karsten and Jessi were yammering on about was beginning to give her a headache. But had Jessi ever been the kind to end the fight? No... Jessi was the kind to start one and keep them fired up. So wherever this "friendly chat" was going, it wasn't going to get any better.
"Jared? I think I've just had a concussion..." she rubbed her nose, a throbbing pulse that spread out through her face. Something popped; or sounded like it popped, anyway. "Oh, yeah." She muttered, nodding her head in silent agreement to herself. "I've been concussed..." Then a thought sprang to her. If she could compress the tension between Russia and Germany, then perhaps she'd find a moment's peace! Comedy swept through her veins like it always had on tape. "Oh my gosh! Do you know what I could go for right now? Raviolis. Mmm-mmm. That sounds... awesome." She hiccuped a laugh, swiping sweat from her brow. Oh, good times, good times... But clearly her act wasn't working, because even in the dark, she could make out the angry outline of Jessi.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. You wanna rile up the guy who just held me... um, hostage,"-- she glanced wearily at Karsten. She didn't like to be touched by guys, unless it was her dad, Mack, and normally she'd throw him a goofy punch afterward to prove she wasn't the type of daughter who, if didn't shoot guns from a gun family, was a stuck up bimbo who could swing one. "--turned out the lights, and revealed that he's paranoid enough to own a nuclear storm shelter?! Like... that is suicide right there, uh-huh."
