.:APPEARANCE:. Jack has a very narrow face. The bridge of his nose is narrow and so are his eyes. His face is angular and his cheekbones are a bit prominent. His earlobes are attached and his ears tend to lay close to his head. Jack is also very skinny and underweight. He's so underweight it's unhealthy. Jack's eyes are a grey color. His lips are pale, and so is his skin. His hair is black and normally messy. He doesn't like to brush his hair that often. Jack keeps a very clean-shaven face.
As for Jack's choice in clothing, he likes to wear black and/or white. He very rarely has a variety of colors on his person. Most of his shirts are t-shirts that are fully black, fully white, or are black with white stripes. His jeans are all black, with a few white jeans. His socks are also either black or white. He likes to wear converse or vans for shoes, either black or white. Jack's favorite coat to wear is a long, black trench coat. He has a few fully black jackets as well, but doesn't wear them that often. Over all, Jack is not too colorful of a person.
.:PERSONALITY:. Jack is incredibly smart. He could've been considered a child genius when he was little, but he didn't want to attract attention upon himself. Jack doesn't like to have the attention centered on him, and he takes pity on celebrities. While Jack isn't a quiet person, he does prefer to be alone. He doesn't let anyone get too close to him for any reason. While he has a few friends, even they don't know all that much about him. Jack generally prefers to ask questions about others than answer them, so he always knows more about the people around him than they do him.
Even though Jack doesn't let people get close to him, most people trust him with stuff. He likes to be considered trustworthy and prides himself on it. If he needs to, he could take most secrets to his grave. However, he doesn't let others in on his own secrets. Jack also tends to be a good liar. He's a good actor as well, but refuses to pursue that road, so he only uses his acting skills if he needs to convince someone of something.
Jack is a quick thinker. When he plays chess, he's always thinking at least five moves ahead automatically, but for anything else in which his thinking isn't automatic he is lazy and procrastinates as much as possible. Ajax is only quick to do something if he's inspired or excited to do it. Otherwise he'll procrastinate it and/or think it out beforehand. He's also quite witty and sarcastic. However, Jack is bluntly honest. With these mixed together, Jack can be a very difficult person to be around, while other times it's fun.
Jack doesn't have any powers. When people around him began to sprout superhuman abilities he thought he was going crazy. He couldn't believe it, but there it was- kids shooting fireballs, kids changing their appearance, kids throwing lightning bolts everywhere. Jack was almost glad he didn't have to go through this insane procedure of getting used to some new ability.
As for hobbies of Jack's, he enjoys figuring out puzzles and riddles. There are few puzzles he hasn't completed, and the Rubik's Cube is practically at his command. Jack's logical mind can rip a riddle apart in a shorter amount of time than should be normal. Jack normally spends his time trying to find ways to keep his mind occupied. If he's not, and he becomes bored, it can be scary for those around Jack. A bored Jack is a cruel Jack.
.:HISTORY:. Jack doesn't remember much of his life in England. When he was four his parents moved to America. At first they settled in Nevada, but his dad's job as a computer programmer caused them to move three more times: when he was eight they moved to Chicago, when he was ten they went to Maine, and when he was fourteen they went to Florida. Jack got used to the constant moving around and began to keep people from getting to close to him. He had friends, yes, but they didn't know him as well as they thought they did. This kept both Jack and his friends from crying too much when the next inevitable move happened.
In Florida Jack lived in a medium-sized apartment with his parents and his two younger sisters. Jack went to the public school nearest to them. However, one day Jack was sitting in his English class, bored out of his mind, when his teacher vanished. Poof. She was gone. Jack, being lazy, sat back and let everyone else do their thing. Of course, Jack began to get a little freaked out when people around him gained crazy powers. He never acquired any, and he was perfectly okay with that.

.:APPEARANCE:. Jaimoff has a narrow and angular face. His eyebrows and lips are thin. His earlobes are attached and his ears are close to his head. His nose is narrow as well. Jaimoff's eyes are grey and his hair is black, and normally messy. He has an average height and weight.
Jaimoff's wardrobe is pretty average. It consists of black, gray, and blue shirts. He wears black, gray, or blue jeans to accompany the shirts. Jaimoff wears gray or green jackets when it's cold, and if it has a collar and no hood he'll turn up the collar. Jaimoff's shoes are generally converse.
.:PERSONALITY:. Jaimoff typically runs on the shy side of everything. He doesn't let people get close to him for any reason as a sort of shy paranoia of his. He's a very quiet person and people have trouble just hearing him speak.
If you ever get the pleasure of hearing Jaimoff speak, you'll find he has a rich, comforting, baritone voice. He's got a calming air about him, but since he rarely speaks, no one gets the pleasure of his calming powers. Jaimoff has an odd sense of humor, too, so what he says doesn't always fit with how pleasant his voice sounds. What Jaimoff finds funny, most people would be repelled by. His creepy, sadistic sense of humor sometimes scares people, coupled with his power to keep secrets and hide his true self from you.
There are countless amounts of secrets Jaimoff could reveal to someone that they'd have never known. He has so many hidden up his sleeve that he could surprise anyone. For one, this quiet, lanky boy knows krav maga. Secondly, he has the powers over shadows. And, finally, he secretly enjoys yaoi manga and anime.
Jaimoff was just as surprised as everyone else when he got his powers. He didn't know what was going on at first when lights started to hurt him. He wasn't sure how to control this ability he had to turn into a shadow. It took him three days of straight practicing and sleeping before he figured it out. Of course, using this new ability he'd acquired had tired him out a lot.
Jaimoff's hobbies include watching/reading anime/manga, going on tumblr, and sleeping.
.:HISTORY:. Jaimoff was raised mainly by his older sister, Lily. His parents were always off at work, and if they weren't at work they were somewhere away from home, be it the pub or a hotel. Anywhere but where their children were. Lily and Jaimoff matured quicker than children should, and when Jaimoff was twelve his aunt and uncle took custody of them and moved to America, particularly Florida.
Once away from their parents, Lily and Jaimoff led a generally normal life. They were enrolled in the nearest public school. They made new friends. But their independence never left them. Jaimoff couldn't fit in, being as he was more mature than the rest of the kids at his middle school. He couldn't get along with them and they couldn't get along with him. Jaimoff went throughout school detached, shy, and antisocial. He didn't care about the other children- they didn't matter to him. So, Jaimoff led a sheltered life.
Until that day.
He was in school- Latin class, particularly- and his teacher just vanished. A few days later, Jaimoff began getting headaches when he went out in the sun or any other bright light. It was the weirdest thing. A few days after that, Jaimoff was a shadow. No one could see him, and the light was so painful he had to avoid it. So Jaimoff awkwardly trailed behind people, hiding from the light, unsure of what to do with himself. The next day, he was normal again. Plain old Jaimoff. It took him a few days to get his power under control. Meanwhile, all the other kids were figuring out what to do. Some took control while others followed. Jaimoff was a follower.
