- Her name is Raevyn Smith, though some of her closest friends call her Rae, she's eighteen, and she's a female. She isn't one to share, so you won't likely learn much more, at least not without getting in really close to her.
Raevyn is friends with virtually no one, as she can't bring herself to trust (though she does think of the cheerleader as a good friend now, and is crushing on Henry). She may not be the most friendly person, but she finds herself around people a lot of the time, something that can become annoying quickly when she's in a bad mood. She's sarcastic, perhaps a little of a pessimist, but she's actually not too bad to be around once you get to know her. She has a macabre sense of humor and seems almost cold towards other people and their personal limits. She has difficulty expressing emotions, understanding why people feel the way they do, and has a lot of trouble with social situations.
Raevyn never really fit in with 'the crowed', but she didn't really mind it either. Her parents died before she could remember, so she was put into the system and was adopted at age eleven by a very nice, loving couple. Although she was very loved by her adoptive parents, they always knew she was different just like she did, and it seemed that others could sense it too. Ostracized at school, Raevyn took to herself and her only escapes; reading, writing, and solitude. She had quickly shut herself off from the rest of the world, content with watching from afar rather than partaking in the act of actually living. She didn't want to be bothered by people, and deep down she knew they didn't want to be bothered by her. That's probably what pushed her to flee her home just before she turned fifteen before she was returned home. Her family moved and she was put into new schools, until she finally settled into a local high school, a last-ditch effort to get their child to settle down and settle in.
As stated, Raevyn enjoys alone time; she has periods where she needs to be alone to think things through. She likes reading and writing as well as other art forms. She enjoys learning new, interesting things, especially things that are odd or unique. She likes the smell of old leather, and thinks that nothing's better than being outside in nature, especially at night. She has a fondness of fire, something that gets her into a bit of trouble at times. While she doesn't like meeting new people, she does enjoy watching them. She finds people and their complexity to be very interesting and could easily spend hours watching them. She also happens to have a love of children, something she can't quite explain. Loud noises and large crowds are two of Raevyn's
- worst enemies. She also has a strong distaste for needles, always has.
