"I lived near the business district. My father was a businessman, so we lived there so he would have to travel so far," I replied. My life in Cernavoda seemed so far away now that I think about it. It had been less than a day since I was on Romanian soil, yet I felt as though it had been a month since I was there. Perhaps it was the travelling between time zones which made me feel so, but there was something more. I knew that my life was no longer the same, and so I was trying to forget everything in my past life so that I could start my new one. It would not do to dwell on things, or to hope that things will go back to normal. I know that my future lies ahead of me, perhaps I could even go to a nice American university - one of those famous ones.

I glanced out the window to see nothing but forests and woods. "It's so different from where I used to live. It was busy, and there were so many people. I would watch the office workers go past, moving so quickly. And now, I can only see the trees rustle and the birds move." I stopped, realising I had gone on and on without much thought of Natalya. Should I apologise to her for the rambling? She might think I was rude if I didn't. But she might think that I have a low self-esteem and was an avid apologiser if I did. Decisions, decisions. That seemed to be the only thing that I had to do ever since meeting Natalya. Finally deciding to remain silent, I sat on my bed, hoping she didn't hate me for talking too much.
