Kacey had sat down on the log, put her skates back in the box. She slid on her boots and zipped up her jacket once more. She smiled a little bit. "You went from scared of stuff on either side of you" she said referring to the ice and Kacey, against her complete nature, helping Kat. Kacey stood up, brushing the little bit of snow that had fallen on her. "To a person brave enough to go off with someone they just met toward the darkest place in this area" Kacey was kind of trying to make Kat uncomfortable, she felt like for some reason it was her job at the time. Kacey slid the box back under the bush and log to it's hiding place and glanced off at the fireflies. (Small writers block sorry)

"Is that bad?" Kat said to Kacey, getting a slight negative vibe off her words. Was it something she had done? "I don't... really have... experience with people. And... I was only scared, because I thought you were dangerous... and the ice was dangerous." Kat shifted slightly, biting her lip. What should she do? "And the dark doesn't scare me. You just have to be... cautious with it." Kat reached behind her head, and untied her mask; it seemed to be the proper thing to do. She put it in her grey coat's pocket. "I'm weird." she paused, feeling discomforted with herself. "Sorry?" (don't worry ^^ )

Kacey shook her head. "No, it's good. It means your getting braver" Kacey glanced at her and shook her head. "Weird is fine, I don't really care about people being weird. Don't be sorry" she said. I'm never sorry she thought. Kacey knew exactly why Kat thought Kacey was criticizing her. Kacey was not very good at complimenting people but she thought this was entirely necessary. Kacey looked at her. Her face seemed different again. Kacey felt like she was going insane, or more insane then she was already. Kat seemed a little bit different every now and then. She dismissed it was the lighting, and he mask. Kacey walked one. Glancing at Kat every now and then with her almost unsettling black eyes. She sighed looking up at the sky for the moon. She could see it was hidden behind the treeline they were headed for.

Ignoring Kacey's occasional looks at her, Kat followed her, though slightly behind submissively her friend. Kacey knew where she was going, plus it was dark, so Kat stayed close to her heels. As they started walked through the forest in silence, Kat raised her chin in refusal to submit to the fear that there was something behind that tree, or something to her right, something right behind her, following every footstep, breathing down her neck... She gulped slightly as she whacked away low hanging branches. To distract herself, she asked Kacey a question, proud at her none-wavering voice; "I've never someone called Kacey before, is it a nick-name, or just a foreign name?"

Marina's white wolf ears flicked as she picked up the sound of someone walking though out the forest, she let out a low growl as she heard the twigs snap. turning her head back to glare at Storm once more before she left, For the record i'm not finished with you she sadi before turning and dashing through the forest her paws thumping on the ground for a second before she stopped to creep up on the trespassers, her head straightened but with a growl she lowered it again as soon as it hit the branches. She was rather tall as a wolf, her height ranging from about 7 to 8 feet. She heard voices and let out a low growl as a warning to the people.

Kacey looked at Kat when she started talking. "I am Spanish, obviously, so my mother wanted to call me something Latin-based. She picked Kacidia. (Case-Eye-Dye-Aye) which is long for Kacey short for me. Apparently it means the right to freedom. A foreign name to everyone in North America. Since the people here couldn't say my name I dropped it for Kacey." She paused. She could have sworn she had heard the faintest of a growl, somewhere fairly distant, but not actually that far away. "I am assuming Kat is short for Katherine, Kathleen or Katrina?" she practically asked. She knew of not one person who's name was just, Cat. Kacey glanced around. She could see better then average in the dark, but after about ten meters everything dimmed out like a flashlight couldn't reach that far. She was still thinking about the growl, it had distracted her. She glanced at Kat quickly for a second, unnoticed to check and see if she was studying for to like she was.

Marina watched as the girl's head turned but she didn't move back, she kept walking. She let out another growl, this time a loud one so she knew and so did the other girl, Kat. She slowly crept to the ground, low as she flitted among the shadows by the two, her ears flicking as they picked up information that the girl was talking about, she was about 6 feet away from the two waiting for one of them to realize.

"Your first guess was right, I guess. It was originally Katherine, but I like to think of myself as Kat. If I ever need to make any fake ID's, then I put Kat on them." Kat nervously brushed her hair out, brushing of leaves and twigs. Then she bit her lip slightly. Should she have said that? Would Kacey think she was a criminal of some kind? The wind was cold against her skin, and she shivered slightly as they continued walking. Was it just Kat, or was there a slight tension in the air? Or rather a slight smell, like electricity. There was a meadow up ahead, shown by a slight increase of light. There was a slight sound of a scuffle. "I think somethings there," she whispered, curiously, fear brushed aside."
