Rowan Barkerson, District 7, Male Tribute]
He saw a girl come on the train. He had seen her a few times around their district or at school, when he had been in school. He had dropped out to help his family by working in the lumber industry of seven.
He saw her start to argue with their mentor, some drunken, no help he decided. He heard his name. H turned and looked. The girl, Meadow was it? Had said something. To him. "Uh-besides axe, I guess knives I don't know, I haven't had the oppurtunity to test other weapons, I'm not exactly a career with all that fancy training and skills." He said with a shrug.
She then asked something about aliies. Already thinking of the game, and possible death? Wow, he didn't want to think of it and had been looking out the window to prevent thoughts like that. But she was different than him. Who knows, she could win this or he could, it's not guareenteed but it's possible to outlive everyone else. "Um, I might pick up a couple allies, but never would I be caught dead in the career pack. I'm not letting the capital change me and my methods, they can try to change and mold me to be a good littel tribute, but that's not what I am. Sure, I may kill someone but first, I'm going to try and survive the enviroment and hope it has water and food sources." He said. Then added,"What about you? Allies? Stragedgies? Surely, you've got it more thought out than me."

    kitty -district 12

The girl heard talking in the other cart, then Carter walked in. She looked away and listened at the same time. Hearing the fact that there will be a bow and some arrows made her feel somewhat hopeful for her upcoming bloodbath called "The Hunger Games."

Kitty looked at him with her eyes narrowed. "Don't get to close to me. Thanks for caring that Lily actually died, and it is unfair that she died trying to show respect that we are now in The Hunger Games." Holding the bread, she examined it as Carter left and then threw it away. Kitty could hear the mentor, preppy woman, and Carter talking, then Carter left. She looked towards the doorway as both the mentor and preppy woman looked at her. Kitty came to attention and stood up.

"Well, well. There she is." The mentor said.

"As for you young lady, the Capitol loves the fact you volunteered and they love you, but we are going to have to change this..... Style." The woman said gesturing to her wardrobe.

"Hey, enough. Sweetheart, you're going to have to quit running away. I assume Carter told you everything. I understand that both of you have the same use in weapons, but I don't know how many bows will be there. Probably only one. Knives on the other hand, they are stocked up-" The mentor went on, but was soon cut off by Kitty.

"A bow. I need a bow. I can do with knives, but a bow would be better. I will make one if I have to, and for your information, lady. I don't come from a rich place. I have lived off what I could get my hands to feed my family. This was my mother's dress and so I would appreciate it if you were less... Preppy." Kitty said and walked to her room.

It was dark and Kitty was wearing the night gown that went down to her knees. She had to brush her hair otherwise the woman would freak out even more. She saw Carter watching the movie of previous Hunger Games. Her eyes grew wide as she watched people die. She was silent though. Turning her face quickly away she sat in a chair in front of the television next to Carter. "I'm not ready for that. I'm not ready to go." Kitty said looking at the people on the television. "Why are we the ones who have to suffer and die for the amusement of other people." She went on. "I don't want to die, but I don't want to kill.... anyone." Kitty went on quietly.

Death was an awful thing and Kitty was surrounded by it. She herself didn't wanted to be associated with it, no one did really, but when you live in Panem there wasn't really a choice. She could run, but they would catch her most likely. She just wanted to be at home with Lathan and Lily, not on her way to her death sentence.

"You can die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become a villain." Kitty said and walked into her room and went to bed.

Fawn Elphinstone | District Four | On the Train

Sighing, the female tribute known as Fawn ran a hand down her face. She had long stopped crying, the only thing remaining where the slightly darker lines marking her skin. Wiping the last of the fluids from her cheeks, Fawn looked up to see another person enter the train. Undoubtedly he was male, and the other tribute who had volunteered for someone who had stood next to him. Fawn didn't know Paul, and thus, did not recognize him. The young woman was right from before, his suit appeared too tight and the pants were much too baggy. Even not being a psycho about fashion, Fawn could easily realize it did not fit well, and looked awfully unmatched. Yet, footsteps coming from the other train car caught her attention.

Fawn's pale blue gaze reached a taller man who was standing just to the side of the door frame. He had dark blond hair, and looked almost as if it were brown. But no, it was much too light to be blonde. His voice rang through the car, slightly low and rough yet not intimidating in any way. Blinking chocolate brown eyes in amusement, Fawn felt the man's switch between the two tributes.

"So you must be me two little apprentices, huh? Well, its time for introductions. I'm your mentor, th' name's Reef, and you must be Fawn and Paul."

First he strode towards Fawn, who got up from her seat and shook the hand in which he extended. Reef nodded, before striding over to Paul and extending his hand once more.

[Yarrow Maryam-Sixteen-District 8]

Yarrow followed her gaze over to the window, looking a little sad for a moment as it seemed they were now passing district 7, maybe. Too much forests for his tastes, personally. In response, he wrinkles his nose a little at his district partner when she talks of where she is in their home district, finishing off his steak first.

"I didn't know Eight had forests that people could get to." Yarrow mutters next, seeming genuinely curious. "It's gotta be a pretty small one then, eh?" He reasons, before wiping his hands on his pants {which earns him a disgusted squawk from their escort} and putting them behind his head.

"And I didn't tell you much about my self because we'd just started talking, and you didn't seem to want to know." He answers arrogantly, smirking at her again before looking out the window and shrugging his shoulders. "I grew up on the streets. Pretty well known around the district, actually. Might look familiar to you?" He doesn't mean to boast, but... "I've been earning my keep. Dancing, stealing, whatever for as long as I can remember." Yarrow answers rather lightly, as if it's no big deal because to him, it's not.

The next thing Yarrow reaches for is the pitcher of milk because he hasn't ever seen milk like that that's NOT in some fancy store, but their escort seems to catch onto his train of thought, and pours the former streetrat a wine glass of the milk before he can chug from right out of the pitcher. Shrugging, Yarrow takes it and slams most of it back in one go, licking up what dribbles out of his mouth.

"That is... That's pretty good." He tells Lacey when he looks back at her, eyes wide.

[Sorry for absence.]

This is good, Tracy thought to himself, I chance to let out my anger. Look on the bright side, yes!
It was hard for the boy to do it, but he was so far successful at keeping his fears pent up inside. He couldn't afford to be afraid, as he stared in a mirror thoughtfully, studying himself.
Once you get off this train, you gotta give it your all, he coached himself, clenching his fists. Can't really trust anyone in the Hunger Games, really. But you know, it could do you some good if you make friends. You don't have to get close to them other anything, but just friendly enough to get an ally who can hold his or her own. But that's going to be difficult--you've locked yourself up for the whole trip, haven't you? No worries, you've got time I think. Just think calm thoughts...don't panic.
"Don't panic," he whispered. "Yeah. Sure, I can do that."

Alicia sat on her temporary bed, counting all of the purple flowers on the sheets. The sheet was a bright gold color and with a purple floral pattern, and Alicia appreciated it. It was her only source of happiness since the reaping.
She could still see the terrified look on her mother's face, the frantic screaming of her father, and how they tried to break through the Peacekeepers. But their attempts proved fruitless, and any volunteering as tribute was promptly ignored as their only daughter was ushered away. Alicia didn't even get to say goodbye.
She sighed and laid her head on the pillow, depressed.
So this is how my life ends?
She had no interest in killing anyone, or winning; she knew it was a lost cause for her.
But still, her brain reasoned, you have to at least try.
I bet my trying will only get me off the plate, and then I'll take a arrow to the head.
Don't be like that,
her brain pleaded, but the redhead turned her thoughts away from it and slid off the bed. She walked towards the door out off her cart and left to the dinning area.
Might as well feast before death.
Alicia picked up a plate and began piling it with food, although making sure it wasn't going to leave her gaining five hundred extra pounds.

Lacey, District 8 Female Tribute
She shook her head. "It's small, towards the border of where I believe district seven lies. And no, I don't reconize you, I was homeschooled and have only gone into town for reaping days, my parents didn't want me and my siblings there, with the criminals and stuff I think." She admitted.

It seemed as if they shared no connections or memories. Oh, well, it's not like both of them could win the games anyways. "So, you planningon any allies?" She asked. Shedidm't particularly care to know but it could serve as useful to know later.

While she waited for an answer she decided to grab something to eat. The food wasn't posionous, Yarrow had proved it by eating it with no side effects that she could tell. She cautiously picked up a plate. On it she piled some red berries and a brown syrup and then some little sandwich. Shesat back down and nibbled the little delicaate sandwich then triedthe fruit, strawberries with chocolate, something she had only heard of, never seen or tasted the two, by themselves or together. The fresh fruit in eleven didn't make it to thedistrict outskirts of eight.

[Yarrow Maryam-Sixteen-District 8]

"Huh." He blinks when she tells him that he was right about the size of the forest, and licks his lips before downing the rest of the milk in the glass, and holding it out again to be filled. The escort does so, but while glaring at him like they'd want nothing more then to spit in his drink. Yarrow makes sure to smile extra brightly at them, because this is the most food he's seen ever, nevermind the most he's got to eat, before downing that glass as well and letting out a very loud burp. He them blinks a few times, obviously not have been expecting that, patting his chest and clearing his throat.

"Well, you shoulda come into town more often. Not nearly as bad as your parents thought. Though... guess you probably picked up more skills that are right for the arena then I did, huh?" Yarrow says after a few moments, a dark hand coming up to scratch the back of his head rather sheepishly. "I mean, what are the chances that the arena's gonna be some broken down city, eh? And I'm not tryina make you feel better about yerself or anything, but I can't tell blueberries from nightlock." He sighs, but the smile never leaves those wide lips.

He waits until she's eating until he answers her other question, looking up thoughtfully. "I dunno. I mean, it'd be nice to have someone who knows what they're doing, but we won't know about the arena until we're in it, so..." Yarrow shrugs both shoulders before reaching over the table very rudely to grab a handful of berries. "Now, nightlock or blueberries?" He jokes to Lacey, wanting a little bit to make her smile. He's not really thinking strategically or wanting to manipulate her, he just... misses his friends a lot already.

[Cog Captor-Fifteen-District 5]

Cog was happily talking strategy over a plate of food {mainly fruit on his part} with his mentor, Rook {A district 5 victor from five years previous}. They talked of how his skills of knowing his way around herbs and edible plants would come in handy, of how there had to be some way he could turn his incredibly dexterous, practiced and quick-working hands into weapons. That's about when, however he saw the female tribute from his district walk in and start piling up food, but in a way that would suggest stress and maybe anger? Distracted, Cog tilted his head to the side at her.

"Would you like to talk with us?" The younger, raven-haired tribute knew someone down on their luck when he saw them, especially with the games. Honestly, he would have probably been more surprised if she's been cheerful about getting picked since Five wasn't what others would call a 'career' district. But, just the same, if she didn't want to talk, Cog would respectfully leave her alone because not only had his father taught him that, but it was also great for handling ornery customers at the shop and it was merely the right thing to do.

Lacey, Distdict 7 Female Tribute
She continued to eat some of the food. Cautiously at first, then normally as if it were something brought home by her parents...oh, she already missed them and therest of her family. Maybe some day, if she lived she'd have her own family, but only if she could survive the looming threat of the games, the Hunger Games.

"My parents just didn't want to take any more cgances, not after my brothers....left....at least one did and theother, nevermind." She said. Tears threatened to spill out of her eyes, but she blinked them away. No need to be weak, if she didn't survive, at least someone would be waiting for her.

Then when he started to joke she smiled and said, "I don't know much about berries, but for herbs, I know a good bit. Just stay away from berries if possible, they may taste good but some are not worth it." She answered. When he asked about the berries in his hand she smiled. She picked one up and pretended to inspect it. She then popped it in her mouth and swallowed it,"Unless nightlock tastes like blueberries and that one was defective then I'd say blueberry. Nightlock is slightly darker and grows on a darker green bush than blueberries. But they may not even be in the areana we are put into." She said with a shrug.

{{Aʟᴇᴋs Dɪsᴛʀɪᴄᴛ ᴏɴᴇ}}

Aleks caught the orange and began peeling it. Once she was done peeling it she threw away the peel and looked up and laughed a bit when Sloan made a comment about Sly. That was the first time she laughed in a week, she always became a little shaky about reaping day in advance. She looked at the food in awe, finally getting a good look at it. Even though they were from the richest district this was still like heaven to her. She saw a nice beagle covered in the smoothest looking cream she ever saw, she took it then turned to see everyone sitting down. She walked over and was about to sit down across from Sly when he was patting the seat next to him, so before she she sat down she changed her direction and sat down next to Sly.

She broke the orange up and was about to bit into it when she choked on Sly's word. When he said 'lover' Darren went through her mind, but a second later he was gone. "uh, nope I don't really want a lover ...since there's always a possibility one of us would be in the hunger games....and here I am...." then looked over and saw him making kiss-y faces and couldn't help but laugh "I'm guessing you Mr.kiss-y face have had a lover or two..?" she teased him then bit into a slice of the orange.

She knew who Sly was before the games but she doesn't remember them ever formally met, just seeing each other pass by in school or when they were wondering around the district. Even though they never really met she knew Sly was a bit of a player form girls around the district talking. So she didn't exactly trust him yet, but she knew she would learn because they are basically allies.
