Jasmine Roseline Winters

Jasmine let out a sigh "Well I've spent the last few years alone so how would I know" she muttered under her breath, not loud enough for him to hear. When Jake smiled her heart melted and she had to resist throwing herself into his arms. She sighed and hugged her notebook to her chest as she walked and looked at the ground. Her hair fell in her face but she didn't move to push it back.

"the people are fine. i've gotten better about that.." he mumbled. "i'm just getting over one... woke up with the blankets around me today..." she heard him say. Jasmine sighed "I'm not stupid Jake. You know I can tell your lying" she said softly and walked past him out the door "thanks" she whispered

She shrugged "My parents are at work so it doesn't matter" she said softly. Definitely getting ice cream and going to the tree house to cry she thought and followed him

i'm not stupid, jake. you know i can tell your lying. she told him then exited the building with a thanks. he made a face then followed her. "i am not lying. i am just..." he said, searching for the right way to phrase it. "leaving out certain... parts..?" he was now in front of her, guiding her to his car. she said something about them being at work. oops. he forgot that some parents do work all the time. he would enjoy some free time alone in the house, but his parents didn't work outside of the house. truth be told, they only left the house when their presence was required somewhere else, like parties. shopping was left to him.

he unlocked the car and brought himself to reality. "so, you are going to be home alone? are you sure you want that?" he asked, climbing into the driver's seat. he didn't like the idea for some reason. it didn't settle well with him. jake turned the land rover on and took a deep breath. her parents weren't home so maybe he could talk to her without anyone knowing. he could tell her the truth he was never able to tell her. maybe if the tree house was still there... no, if he asked about it, she would think he was trying to mock their past or something of that nature.

I'm the sort of girl who can't stand sadness. Who bundles it up along with anger. I'm the sort of girl who, once filled to the max with anger and sadness, will just cry. I'm the girl that people become concerned when I'm not laughing or smiling. I'm that girl that can't stop talking, but in front of strangers I hardly say a word. I'm the girl who prefers the company of horses over people. I'm the sort of girl who gets high off of horses. I'm the small town horse crazy girl.

Jasmine Roseline Winters

Jasmine hugged her arms closer to her chest "Of course you are.'' she muttered under her breath "Great way of saying your lying to me. Not like thats something that is new" she said in a soft calm tone. She wanted to cry more but the tears wouldn't come. Jasmine gave up on the thought of hugging him, he seemed to be making up reasons to push her away. Jasmine bit her lip when he didn't bother to remember that her parents had always been working. Jake used to know that they did, thats why she had him around then when she was little. But then he was ripped from her and there was nothing she could do about it

Jasmine got in the car and set her stuff by her feet "I'm used to it." she shrugged "You of all people wouldn't know that" she said a bit colder than she intended it to be. "Sorry" she said and looked out the window. Jasmine wanted to cry even more now and throw herself into his arms and say 'Jake I can't stand it without you. The last few years have been h*ll and I haven't had anyone to talk to. I want my best friend back and sat in the tree house like we did when we were little but she didn't. Instead she said, "You can come over I guess if you want. I can make you a lunch since you were nice enough to take me home. We could go to the old tree house and eat if you're staying" she said softly, color flushing her cheeks from embarrassment of asking him to come over as if it were old times

Ryder James Markem

Ryder focused on the road a smile on his face "Are my looks finally getting to ya?" he laughed and looked over at her briefly "Couldn't stop yourself for coming back to the Ryder experience" he laughed and looked back at the road. He turned a corner onto a barely lit road, trees blocking most of the light creating a green filter. Ryder turned his music up again but not as loud as before knowing that Kacey never really liked his music "You want your present now or when we get to the lake and sit down to eat?" he asked her and smiled slightly.

Ryder reached down grabbing the present holding it in his hand waiting for Kacey's answer. It was his mom's silver and blue necklaces, one of a few he grabbed before his uncle could pawn them. He also had his mother and fathers rings that he keeps on a chain around his neck, tucked under his shirt. The thought of his parents made a shiver go down his spine and he zoned out drifting onto the other side of the road. He swirved back quickly before an on coming car could hit them. He looked over at Kacey "Sorry about that" he said softly, looking at her worried. She was the only person Ryder truly cared about and if he got her killed he would never forgive himself. "I can just wait till we get there" he sighed

Ryder pulled into a small cleared area of gravel, parking his car and getting out still clutching the small box in his hand. He popped his trunk open and grabbed a picnic basket out. He walked to Kacey's door and opened it for her "Come on" he said shoving the necklace case in his pocket and offering her a hand. She's probably not going to feel the same he thought nervously

(I am reposting post that haven't been answered yet. Leo I will pm the person who plays Liz since they have yet to post:
Leo's post for Kale_dragon_keeper:

Danny's alarm went off at its normal time, the loud beeping enough to elicit a groan from him. Reaching blindly, his hand beat at his nightstand until the noise stopped. A satisfied sigh escaped him as he rolled to the other side of the bed, slowly sitting up. It took him a moment to wake up enough to move, but he slowly stood and stumbled to his closet. It seemed to be a nice day out, so he pulled on a pair of khaki cargo shorts and a t-shirt. After slipping on his favorite pair of shoes, he turned and headed downstairs.

His father had been out late last night, so he thankfully wasn't awake yet. Another sigh escaped him as he moved to the cupboards, grabbing himself a cereal bar for the road. It joined his cell phone in his pocket as he closed the cupboard door and stepped through a side door into the garage. Both him and his father had cars, though his was, of course, of worse quality. His father owned a rather nice Honda, while he had an old Saturn. It worked, though, so he had no complaints.

He quickly slipped into his car and headed off to school for another boring day of classes. Upon arriving in the parking lot, he went towards his normal spot. It was open, so he took it of course. He quickly climbed out, grabbing his bag and heading for his first class of the day. Sadly, he shared no classes with Liz, but it was probably better than way anyway. Danny was always distracted by Liz, so it would be hard to pay attention with her in class.

The day flew by quickly, much to Danny's enjoyment. He wasn't sure what he planned on doing after school, but he hoped to find Liz and chill out with her in the field as normal. He could either give her a lift or meet her there, though meeting there was probably better. After his last class was dismissed, Danny headed back out to his car.

Mark focused on his drawing, adding the perfect shades of grey and black to almost seem like a black and white image. The water glistened lightly, see, king to ,move much like it did in reality, the sun hidden barely by the shinning sun. The bright white fraction of a sphere hidden by the glisten of the water. The surrounding mountains and trees, seemed to be paused in a moment of perfection.

He had not heard her , his perfect girl running up behind her yet, but yet he could tell she was close, so he rushed to finish it, make it look as stunningly a,amazing as she was. The thought of her alone caused him to blush, and smile, as he countined to draw and finished it as he heard her come up behind him. Ending with a perfect signature that is not similar to any others.

He blushed slightly when he heard her amazingly melodic voice, whizp into the air. His gaze shifted to her, and smiled as she adjusted her coat, which made her all the better, she was indeed the perfect girl for him, and he enjoyed her being with him. When that soft skin grazed his own, he smiled, and rested a gentle palm upon her soft skin, and spoke back ''it is supposed to be sunrise'' he smiled and wrote on the back ' to Nikki....from Mark')

he ignored her comment on his lying. he never meant to in the past, but somethings he couldn't stop. once he heard her close the door he started the car. he had been about to start moving when she spoke again. i'm used to it. you of all people wouldn't know that... sorry. he looked at her calmly, pain hidden behind his eyes. "of course i wouldn't know. i haven't talked to you in years and i don't know what it's like to be alone." he said. jake went to put the land rover into drive when she said something that caught him off guard. you can come over i guess if you want. i can make lunch since you were nice enough to take me home. we could go to the old tree house and eat if you're staying. it was like she could read his mind. he had wanted to know if the old thing was still up in its tree. apparently so.

"that old thing is still there?" he asked, starting to drive. "wow. i mean, it's great that it is still surviving the weather. we did spend a lot of time in there. out of everything she said, that's all he really reflected on? not the invitation? he didn't notice he hadn't answered her invitation until he was pulling out of the school. "and i might have lunch with you if hanging out with you won't ruin your rep." he teased lightly. "i mean, heaven forbid that you might become popular if seen with me." he hoped she recognized the tease behind some mock seriousness. most of his friends these days didn't catch the teasing and thought he was dead serious.

xxxxxxxxxx~Elizabeth Montgomery~

Liz
Female
Sixteen
xxxxxxxxxxThe beautiful, sweet girl awoke early that morning, due to the fact that she had to go to school later that day. Her father was already awake, and out of the house, she realized, not hearing his loud snoring as well as not seeing his Mercedes in the driveway. She gave a soft sigh; he despised her but that did not mean he had to avoid her as much as he could. Than again, maybe it was better that way, for when they did come across each other, all that he gave her were harsh words and cruel looks. Shaking her head to clear away the thoughts,
she went around, trying to get ready in time.
First things first, she pulled her hair into a simple braid, then did her makeup quite natural, aside from her black liquid eyeliner wings. Moving on to her clothing, she slid on a pair of floral print skinny jeans, a pastel pink blouse, and a pair of white flats. Sliding her backpack over her shoulders, she trotted down the stairs, grabbing simply a red apple for her breakfast, which she began to eat as she locked the front door of her house, heading down the sidewalk towards school.
She was nearly late, again, something that the brunette girl hated. Her father took away her car, sold it in fact, after the accident. Of course, she had been too afraid to get behind the wheel of a vehicle since that day, so its not like it mattered much to her anymore ; she had never even gotten her license. She just disliked how long it took her to actually walk places, although the exercise was good for her. She never got to school in time to hang out with the Danny; he was with his friends and she barely skitted into class on time. They were not the same age, nor same grade, so they had no classes together, unfortunately.
The day went by rather fast, thankfully, and it didn't feel like very long before the final bell of the day rang loudly throughout the entire school. Clutching her textbook to her chest, she rushed out of the classroom and to Danny's car, leaning against it, just so she would be able to say hi to him, since she hadn't had the chance this morning. When she saw him coming she gave one of her common, soft smiles, awaiting as he approached.

Jasmine Roseline Winters

Jasmine sighed and looked down at her feet knowing she had hurt his feelings with the cold comment she made. "Ya well I haven't talked to much of anyone" she admitted "So its not like you were left out" she laughed dryly and fell silent for a moment and fiddled with her hair. This is the most interaction that she had with anyone in a long time. Jasmine looked back up at him and met his eyes for a brief moment before turning away and looking back out the window. She had saw the pain in his eyes, he hid it so well from others but to Jasmine he was like an open book "I'm sorry Jake I didn't mean to be rude" she whispered.

"that old thing is still there?" he asked as he started to drive. "wow. i mean, it's great that it is still surviving the weather. we did spend a lot of time in there." he stated sorta bluntly "Well ya it is. It isn't the same as it used to be though. The posters are gone and the windows are broken, its a bit beaten up but I spend most of my time there when I draw." she said softly with a sigh. Jasmine looked up at him when he talked about her rep and started laughing "Good one Jake" she said and rolled her eyes "Of course we don't want that to happen to this reputation of mine." she said in a matter of fact tone. When he mentioned being popular she fell silent, Jasmine never wanted to be popular, never in her life time. She hated dressing nice everyday when there was nothing or anyone to do it for. Plus she would get stuck with a bunch of spoiled brats who didn't understand her.

Kacey blushed as she looked out the window at Ryder's comment. She fiddled with a loose piece of hair, avoiding his question. She had totally zoned out when Ryder asked her about the necklace. She secretly wondered what it would look like. She looked over when Ryder was swerving. She clutched the seat and emitted a small gasp. When he was on the right side, she let out an unstable, shaky breath. She concentrated more on the road now, just in case he did it again. She nodded at Ryder. "Me too," she smiled. Kacey noticed that they had stopped at a clearing. She was going to open her door, when Ryder opened it for her. He also let out a hand to help her out of the car. She slipped off her bookbag and took his hand. "Such a gentleman," she said playfully. This was way too planned out, she had thought. It was quite romantic, but did Ryder have feelings for her as well? That would be her dream come true. She wished for it to be so, but then scolded herself. She did not want to get her hopes up.

She followed Ryder deeper into the clearing, and help set the blanket down. She smiled at him before she sat down. "So what is on the menu?" She asked. She was starving, and she had not eaten breakfast. Her stomach growled, but she tried to cover it up. She did not know if Ryder heard it, but she thought he was out of earshot.

ya well i haven't talked to much of anyone. so its not like you were left out jake just focused on the road, not wanting to think about the past few years. he missed her apology. well, ya, it is. it isn't the same as it used to be though. the posters are gone and the windows are broken, it's a bit beaten up, but i spend most of my time there when i draw. he nodded, a small plan forming in his mind on how to fix the place full of memories. of course we don't want that to happen to this reputation of mine. he chuckled softly and glanced at her for half a second.

"popularity defiantly sucks. you don't want it." he admitted. he didn't even give her a sideways glance as he turned his left turn signal on and focused on the oncoming traffic. "so, what's for lunch?" he asked, making the turn. "if you want to order something, i'll pay as long as it's something my mom won't let me eat." he glanced at her again with a reckless smile. being with her made him want to rebel and be the kid he was before he lost his best friend, starting with food rebellion. something greasy or sugary or lots of calories. something not healthy. something his mother wouldn't approve of.

"It's a beautiful sunrise," Niki blushed a bit, "F-for me?" She looked down at the sunrise before he wrote on the back, He's the sweetest. Mark is definitely the best guy in the world, I wish I would actually say that and not sound like a complete idiot... She leaned her head gently against the side of his for a moment then moved so she was sitting beside him.

The boy that brought out the best in her, was sitting right beside her. It was hard for her to believe that. Niki looked at him, smiling a bit and shifting in her posture. Her smile grew a bit as she turned to face him more and said, "So, what have you been up to? How are things?" The girl laughed quietly at how awkward she had sounded. She ran a hand through her hair, messing it up slightly, but then ran her hand over it again to smooth it back into place.

Niki's fingers flew to the ear where she had tucked the pencil and pulled it free. She absentmindedly twirled it between her fingers and looked around at the spot the two always met. Her eyes kept coming back to Mark, and whenever this happened she would always begin to blush a light rosy color.

Danny wove quickly through the various cars in the lot as he whistled softly to himself. As he rounded a minivan, a smile spread to his face. Liz was waiting for him, leaning against his car nonchalantly. As she gave him a smile, his heart seemed to simply melt. His strides lengthened slightly until he reached his car. His bag was slung over his left shoulder, leaving his right arm free to drape over the top of his car. He smiled down at Liz warmly.

"Hey there, Liz. How are you doing?" If they had been alone, Danny would have opted for a more cute nickname of sorts, but he didn't feel comfortable doing it around other people. "Can I offer you a ride home?" The inflection Danny put on the word 'home' was hopefully a clue to Liz. He was really in the mood to drive out to the woods and walk to their meadow, a quaint little area with a small pond that he loved to frequent.
