Catherine finished her journal entry, and rolled up the parchment. She placed it in a cylinder of glass that kept the paper from tearing and being flattened from her books, and slid it delicately into the bag, towards the side. She put away her quill and ink, took a drink from her goblet, and looked around. She was feeling a little brave today. Maybe even rebellious. Outgoing. Seeing a group of many Ravenclaws, most of her entire year in fact, she stood and walked towards them. The girls across from the boys, were all laughing and giggling at one boy, who had just slid a mirror into his pocket.

His hair looked freshly ruffled, and he have the appearance of a bad boy. Knowing that she was going to be laughed and bullied, she sat beside the boy and smiled. Catherine held out a hand. "Hello, I'm Catherine. I heard you leave the common room this morning. You followed me," she said simply. Her hair fell about her shoulders and back in loose curls. Her bag sat on her lap as she sat backwards in the bench. She refused to look at the girls glaring at her on the other side of the huge table. She decided it was time to start talking to people, and maybe even making a friend.
