Layton stood a few inches taller than Lucy, the perfect height to reach down and kiss her lips, or to just give her a peck on the forehead. He stroked her hair a little, trying to calm her down. "Come on, Lucy, there's nothing to be nervous about!" Her eyes were filled with anxiety, and he wanted nothing more than to reassure her. "It's going to be fun! We'll learn how to control these powers we have, then once we go out into the world, we'll fit right in. I won't be accidentally causing a tailwind behind me after I run anymore. It's a new experience and I think it'll be awesome. And we have each other, which makes things ten times better. He could feel himself getting a little nervous as well, but that was probably because of Lucy. "Don't be nervous, okay? You're making me feel uneasy too. If you're nervous, then I'm here to calm you down. But if you're too nervous, you know how your emotions can affect others. I'll be nervous too, then both of us will be nervous!" He laughed at his long-drawn explanation, hoping his melodious laughter can help calm Lucy's nerves.

Lucy looked up at Layton worriedly as she listened but slowly a smile crept onto her face. She blushed and gave a small laugh as he laughed, feeling herself ease up. There was still a foreboding feeling there but she had become at ease enough because of Layton and his reassurances. She kissed his cheek happily. "Thank you and I know... I'm sorry," she apologized sheepishly with a giggle. She hugged him again happily then looked around at everyone else. "So... I guess we go through the gates now, shouldn't we?" she asked, picking up her bag and suitcase. One of both types. She also had a backpack on her back.

Layton's palm met his forehead at a realisation. "My bags!" he cried out. "I left them somewhere else. I forgot all about them when I heard your voice and I left them somewhere." He burst out into laughter. It was such a silly thing to do, and it was something which Layton would definitely do. "I'll be right back." With a quick wink, he dashed off, maneuvering around objects and people, before finding his bags. He grabbed them and ran off at an unnatural speed, arriving back in front of Lucy. "Thank goodness for super-speed." He chuckled again, quickly catching his breath. He had two large duffel bags, one in each hand, as he looked at Lucy. The nervousness in her eyes had gone away, and it sparkled in a way he adored. The spot on his cheek where her lips had been was still warm. They were dating, of course, so it was not uncommon for her to do such a thing, but it felt special every single time. "Now I'm ready to go," he announced with another bright grin.

Lucy laughed whole-heartedly at Layton's scatterbrain as he did. She was well used to it. She giggled, waving to him but it wasn't long before he was back, blushing at his wink but smiling happily. She waited just a few seconds before his return and she nodded. "I don't mind you being Speedy Gonzalez at all," she chuckled. She smiled and wrapped her arms around one of his, gently leading him. She stopped a moment, looking at everyone else in curiosity. Seeing some recognizable faces that scared her a bit, she kind of got a bit closer to Layton. It wasn't enough to influence anyone around her though. She looked up at him gently. "Do you think we'll be in the same classes as them?" she asked, looking to Kaden, Lucian, and Winter. It wasn't that she didn't like them or anything, she just couldn't really either stand being around them or was afraid one of them might get mad at her. She didn't like it when people were upset with her and tended to avoid confrontational situations as much as possible.

Layton scanned the people, watching them warily from the corner of his eye. There seemed to be only few of them in total, and his brain thought of the classes. "If there are these few people in the academy...I'd say they're in all our classes. I think everyone is in one class." He felt a little down-hearted at this, since he didn't really like a few of them as well. He found their ways too different from the likes of him. "But look on the bright side, at least we'll both be in the same class all the time!" He found it easy to be so happy, and he knew that sooner or later Lucy would calm her nerves and lose the idea that something bad was going to happen. If the two of them stuck together, everything would be alright.

Lucian froze for a split second, his mind whirling with combative instincts until her sweet perfume enveloped him and her tiny arms with which he was so familiar hugged him. He immediately relaxed, and turned around to face her. He said nothing--words were not really his forte--but instead he picked her up by her waist and spun her around. Surprising himself, a smile broke out across his face. Not a sarcastic one, not a malicious one, but the one that he reserved for only Nicole. His real one. He tugged her tight against him, and kissed the top of her forehead. A part of him was at peace knowing that she was right next to him, not that he'd ever say anything aloud. "You look marvelous," his husky, deep voice rumbled after a few moments of silence. He didn't answer her question, feeling as though his actions could do him more justice. Yes, it was nice to see her. Very.

Luna struggled for a moment with balancing the two suitcases that she was towing alongside her. The butler--er, driver--had been kind to her before they had arrived, but as soon as they had exited the car it was as though he wanted nothing more to do with her. He kindly dumped her stuff on the curb and drove off. She shrugged, putting it to the back of her mind and focusing on the rather beautiful pathway that was made up of tiny different colored rocks. A tall figure strode past her, one that she could recognize from a mile away. Trying to find her voice through her conflicting emotions that bombarded her when she realized it was Kaden, it took her a moment to speak up, "Kaden!" she cried out, her face breaking into a radiant smile. She covered the distance between them, standing before him with hopeful eyes.

Jay blew on the window, watching as it fogged up and then disappeared once again. He was beyond bored. For some reason, he had thought that him and Winter were going to ride in the car together, until this dude showed up on his doorstep and escorted him to the fancy, sleek black car. Hence, he was stuck alone for hours on end with nothing to do. Right before he began to blow again, something loomed in the midst of the fog ahead of them. It was the top of a tower. A tower? Jay thought in confusion, why do they need a tower here? He shrugged it off to the back of his mind, and eagerly observed the ever-growing size of the school before him. "Sanmarillo Academy for the Gifted" a sign read, right as the treeline broke and the vast property of the estate was shown. Jay snorted. Gifted...yeah, I'll show them 'gifted'. There were two large iron doors at the front of the castle--er, school. Warning bells began to chime in the back of his mind, but there was nothing he could do about it now. The whole thing seemed peculiar to him, but that may've been because he wasn't excited to be here in the first place. He was just looking forward to seeing his girlfriend all the time.

☙ Serenity watched the world outside with an avid interest, the colours and textures that blurred together created a fairly interesting moving picture. Although starring out at it for hours and hours was getting to be tedious, yes she was one who enjoyed hiking through forests but to stare at one for hours wasn't really very enjoyable. At first she'd tried to talk to the driver, but he was more the strong and silent type meaning that he had barely said anything to her the whole trip. Finally something ahead came into view, an old gothic like building- resembling a castle more than an academy. -I wonder what's in there…- she thought, already knowing that she would have to explore it sooner or later.
-As the car came to a stop in front of the massive sprawling castle Serenity was about to push open her door when the driver coughed and shook his head at her. Confused Serenity took her hand off of the door handle and sat back in her seat, watching as he got out and quickly moved to her door. When he opened the door for her though, Serenity couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. Stepping out Serenity watched as the driver got her bags out of the trunk and set them near her feet, before driving off in his fancy sleek car. Picking up her bags Serenity moved so that she was on the stairs leading up to the doors. Where was Luke? Since she was here he couldn't be that far off.

Nicole continued to hug Lucian, waiting for a response and getting more nervous as the seconds dragged on; was it just Nicole, or was time crawling unbearably slowly? Suddenly, Nicole felt a jerk around her midriff, and then saw herself being lifted into the sky like the lightweight that she was; yelping as she got spun around, Nicole smiled softly and gave Lucian a small peck on the forehead in return, a quiet, reserved giggle escaping her lips. "It's wonderful to see you too, Lucian." Nicole said, a small, quirky half-smile on her face; she had gotten the hidden message and adored Lucian all the more because of it. Hearing Lucian's compliment, Nicole's usually pale complexion flushed a rosy pink, and Nicole started to fidget, a slight stammer entering her voice; though she should have been used to it by now, Nicole still wasn't quite that used to people praising her, whether those people or persons be her boyfriend or a group of strangers. "U-um... thank you very much. For the compliment, I mean. Bec-cause..." Nicole trailed off for a second, biting her lip, a bit unsure at how to continue. "You look very nice today too..." Nicole mumbled, face flushing a tinge more crimson; it seemed that Nicole was about as used to giving compliments as she was used to receiving them.

Kaden was still muttering darkly under his breath about pavement, stupid 'cab' drivers, and perspective when an all-too-familiar voice resounded quite near him. Whirling around in surprise and slight shock and almost beaning himself with his luggage in the process, Kaden quickly scanned the crowd before catching sight of Luna. A bright smile bloomed on his face as he briskly hurried towards his girlfriend. Hefting his bags farther up his shoulder, Kaden motioned to Luna's baggage. "Hey there, Luna. Would you like some help with your luggage?" Kaden asked hopefully, always the gentleman.

Lucian smirked, very used to her stammerings. It never stopped him from bathing her in compliments, though, and besides, a part of him enjoyed seeing her flustered. He adored her rosy cheeks and whenever she stuttered he only loved her that much more. He was extremely protective over her speech, and anyone who would dare tease about it he wouldn't hesitate to hurt. He glanced at her luggage, and wordlessly switched it into his possession, where she wouldn't have to carry any of it. "C'mon, let's go see what going on." He murmured, fixing his smoldering gaze back on his girlfriend.

Luna smiled, enjoying hearing his voice. It took her a moment to comprehend that he was asking about her luggage, and then she spluttered, "What? Oh, yeah, sure." She grabbed her purse, though, and slung that on her shoulder. She didn't need him to be carrying that, she thought with a tad bit of nervousness. Her eyes never left him, drinking in his features just like the first time they'd met. She still couldn't get over how handsome he was, at least to her. "I've missed you," she admitted softly.
