Name:
"Caelus Kilkaren; it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
Being born to a single parent in turian society isn't really that big a deal, but it makes for an odd situation. Caelus wears his mother's clan-paint and has taken her last name, seeing as how he has had no contact with his father since birth. His mother was a light-hearted engineer that had served aboard the dreadnought Xillion until her pregnancy had forced her to take a leave from duty. She took a job at a research facility on Palaven when raising Caelus, serving as a tech consultant for a weapons development program. Though a large amount of the tech knowledge rubbed off on him, none of it stuck as so well as when he went through a pre-boot camp preparatory program. He devoured basic first aid courses before any of his classmates had even come close, and his mother immediately went looking for shadowing and studying opportunities in a medical field for him. At seventeen he graduated from boot camp with above-average scores and a recommendation for specialized training with the Lifebringer Brigade, which he both took and excelled at. At nineteen he moved on from behind-the-lines medical procedures to actual combat medicine. Now a fully certified field medic, he has been selected for active combat.
Age:
"Twenty-two, following the Palaven Standard Calender. It feels good to be in my prime."
Gender:
"Um, male. Have you never seen a turian female before?"
Species:
"Turian, and proud."
Class:
"I'm currently serving as a combat medic. In other words, I get to both put bullets in other people and take them out of you."
Allegiance:
"The Hierarchy, or the Turian Empire if you prefer. My first duty is to Palaven."
Personality:
"Hmm, not really used to being asked that. Thoughtful, I suppose; I like careful planning and then the execution of said plans. Things don't generally work out as planned on a battlefield, but I feel better with some well-defined goals and strategies to get behind. Out of combat, I try to be friendly and enjoy some good-natured ribbing or sparring. If I have to patch up a few holes in you, I'd like for you to trust me beforehand."
"There's more to me than that, really, but I don't want to bore you with my self-examinations. Don't be afraid to try and just talk to me to judge for yourself! I don't bite... hard."
Physical Description:
"Give me a moment, I've got my medical file somewhere on this thing. I swear my measurements change on me from posting to posting, just to make me wait for new uniforms that fit. Ah! Here we are."
"Caelus Kilaren, one meter and ninety-nine centimeters in height -or, alternatively, six foot five-, and weighing in at an average of two hundred and five pounds. Kilkaren has undergone remarkable conditioning for someone of his profession -Spirits, I'm a combat medic, of course I did some conditioning!- and seems to easily maintain his leanly muscled build. Arm and leg measurements are average in length and thickness, shoulder and torso measurements are slightly under the average length."
"They even have my fringe length in here... I think I'm going to skip some of the more detailed stuff."
"Identifiable features: plates are dark brown in coloration with skin being a much lighter shade of the same color; white tattoos are of the full-face kind, taking up much of the visible surface of his facial plates; green eyes."
Family:
"That's be my mother. She's currently serving aboard the Xillion again, after taking a several-year leave and a planetside job to deal with me. I'm, unfortunately, lacking a father or siblings."
Romantic Interest:
"Oh, no one right now. I've never really been in one place long enough to form any lasting relationships."
Sexuality:
"Oh... OH. I'm *ahem* bisexual."
Flaws:
"Hah! In as fine a specimen of my species of myself? Unheard of!"
Caelus is not a leader. He may be a very logical and tactically-minded person, but he's never been quite comfortable holding the reigns of command. He has a tendency to invade other people's privacy in pursuit of knowledge, as well. And once he's set his mind, it's set in stone; you'd need a chisel to break him out of it. He has a long fuse that gets harder and harder to put out the further along it's burned.
Strengths:
"If we're talking combat, I can handle pistols and assault rifles with the best of them, as well as perform some basic hacking and reprogramming with an omnitool. Also, I have more medical knowledge crammed into my head that every other member of a frigate's crew, combined."
"If we're talking character, the words determination and passion come to mind. I don't do things small when I do them! I'm very confident in both my logical and moral decisions and have never had to worry about self-doubt. I'd like to also say that I'm modest, but I have it from several accounts that I'm anything but. I have no lack of social or diplomatic skills and I know how to think on my feet, even if I like careful planning more."
