Talia stopped Elouise, and glanced back at her horse, Lux. "Lux is a faster way to travel... if you'd like?" she asked uncertainly, wondering if Elouise had ever even been on a horse before. She would just be behind her on the horse, Talia would 'drive'.

Gabriel's eyes twinkled as he smiled. It felt good to finally be able to relax. Maybe this was what the King had been talking about when he had ordered him to take a day off. "I'm sure..." He teased, and then added, "Am I holding you up from anything? Or were you just going to take a walk such as I was?"

I grinned. "I have my own horse, actually. Her name is Artemis, I'll go and get her. She's waiting outside," I explain as I head the opposite direction. "Hey girl," I coo when I finally reach the clearing. She nickers in response, and I give her a few strokes before leading her back to Talia.

She raised her brow slightly and laughed.
"No, I was taking a walk as well...escaping life one could say." she smiled. "Its been tough on the people here, always looking out for the other two kingdoms men...and looking out for those rumored 'spies'." she laughed lightly. "Since we are both walking, would you like to...come along?" she asked with a bow of her head. "I was planning to see where this here road would take me, since I haven't been out here in a long while, I don't seem to remember where it leads."

Talia nodded in relief. She hadn't truly wanted to share Lux, but she would've. She waited patiently for Elouise to return on horseback. In the meantime, she kept her guard up in case anybody decided to drop in.

Gabriel nodded in understanding, "I'd be happy to. I honestly don't know where this road leads, since as you said, as a knight I don't venture this far out usually." He looked down at her, for his sheer height enabled him to do so, and smiled. He fell into step beside her as they walked down the stone path.

I arrived on Artemis and stopped next to Lux and Talia. "I get the feeling there's some down west, but then I sense a Graceling and a human together over out of the forest, near Brittany," I announce, going with my gut. I was curious as to why the Graceling was with a human, but there's an entire group of Gracelings to attend to. "What do you think?"

Talia was quiet for a moment. Her curiosity got the better of her, for she found herself replying, "Let's go into the city and see the human with the grace." There was no fathomable explanation in her mind as to why a graceling would be with a..a human. The very creatures that despised their existence. The reason why so many gracelings had died was because of humans. Wretched humans. They're so easily killed, though, Talia thought to herself. They aren't a threat to us.

I grinned. "Just what I was thinking. Let's go," I declared, pumping my fist in the hair while giving Artemis a gentle kick. We break out through the trees and shrubbery, and set way towards Brittany.

She smiled and walked on, with Gabriel by her side. The spring air felt good on her face, and she took in a deep breath. A sudden sound from above caught her attention though as she looked up to see a flash of sliver fly above. Her fingers inched for her bow, but she saw it was only a flacon, and not a raptor. Still, it was a Monster.
"They seem restless today." she said looking up at the Monster. "I found one earlier this morning, lingering over a dead carcass of a deer. I wonder what has been keeping them out lately." she spoke with a sigh.

Talia picked up the pace of their travelling, and they made it to the city in almost no time at all. The speed in which they arrived at Brittany surpirsed even Talia. Lux was feeling good today, and so was Artemis, she supposed. Talia, as they rode through the city, looked to Elouise for direction since she seemed to be the only one who knew where they were going.

Gabriel looked up at the sky and nodded in agreement, "It seems to me that the monsters are not the only ones restless around here. An eerie feelings has settled over Brittany recently." he spoke solemnly, and then fell into a content silence as they walked down the pathway. He stopped when he heard fast-paced hoof beats on the stone. The only ones who usually raced through the cities on horseback were the knights, and if the knights were this far out then something must have gone terribly amiss. Gabriel placed his hand on the hilt of his sword, and turned toward where the noise was coming from. subconsciously, he placed himself in front of Ismae.

The rhythmical sound of hoof beats against cobble stone could be heard. It seemed to her that someone was in a hurry. But her guard quickly went up when she watched Gabriel reach for his sword and stand in front of her. Annoyance rose up in her chest, if only he knew what she could possibly do.
She inched towards his side and pulled her bow out and notched an arrow. Her eyes locked on to the sound in where the hoof beats were coming from. She took in a deep breath and relaxed every muscle in her body as she waited to see what would come out of the greenery of the forest. The feathers of her arrow itched at her fingers, nagging her to send them flying through the air, and at the up coming target. But she yielded and waited in silence.
