The sound of the alarm clock snapped Andrew out of his slumber. He sat up in his bed, rubbing his tired eyes before stretching his muscles. He got out of bed and proceeded to begin his usual morning routine. He quickly made his bed before choosing his clothes for the day. He took them out of his closet before grabbing his towel and and entering his bathroom. He emerged a few minutes later, feeling fresh and ready for the day. His schoolbag was prepared the night before, worksheets filed neatly with books arranged according to height. He grabbed the bag and slung it across his shoulder before grabbing a pair of socks. His shoes were outside his door as he made it a habit not to wear shoes inside his room. After slipping them on, he walked down the stairs of the empty house. He was always last to leave, and he grabbed the sandwich left on the kitchen table before heading out, locking the front door behind him. Andrew was happy with where he lived, as his school was not far. It was a walking distance, and so began the journey, thankful for the nice and breezy morning. The walk took about ten minutes, and Andrew walked through the school doors, soaking in the familiar place. His locker was his first stop, depositing the books he didn't need for the day and taking the ones he needed. His schedule was pasted on his locker door and he skimmed through it quickly, though he already knew it by heart.

The first lesson for Andrew was math, which he didn't mind. Then again, he didn't mind every lesson, so saying that was actually quite pointless. He wasn't a nerd, but he wasn't a failure either. He usually got As and crap, so that made him above average. But if he were honest, Andrew would say that grades weren't the most important thing in life. He held his math books in his arms as his bag was slung across his shoulder. Softly, he closed the locker door and checked the time on his phone. He was still early for school, which was something he actively tried to achieve. He spotted a bunch of his friends and waved to them, but he wasn't in the mood for playing roughly and laughing, so he just walked by them and headed to his classroom. Seats weren't allocated, so he just sat in the middle row, right at the side by the window. It was a discreet place, which was usually looked over, and that was the kind of seat Andrew liked.
