      kellen mercer . slytherin . sixth year
    He nodded to the girl as she exited. The sixth year shook his head and sighed. "Now that girl is an odd one," he said to himself. Kellen grabbed his robes, putting on the majority of them. The only part he refused to wear was the ugly vest, which no one had ever bothered him about. Because it was the first day he would make an impression on any first years, and a new impression on his teachers, he decided that a white button up would be more suitable.

    As he finished unbuttoning the last button and slipping off his black shirt, he heard the door start to slide open. It didn't bother him, but suspecting that Shelly would be shocked by his shirtless state, he did his best to quickly slip on the white shirt as she walked in. Kellen's deep blue eyes flicked over to the window, and he recognized that they were readily approaching Hogwarts. A smile flickered on his lips, he was glad to be back on campus.

    He pulled his arms back behind his neck, bent to form triangles, as his back popped. The boy sighed in satisfaction.
    "Guess I should button my shirt up, huh?" he joked, mocking his own forgetfulness.

Shelly Robinson

|| Fourth Year ||Half-Blood || Slytherin || On the Train ||
"Yeah- yeah, that's a very good idea." Shelly surprised herself by sounding painfully like a Hufflepuff. "I mean, I suppose that'd make a better impression."
The second statement came out better, proving that her long-term notion of thinking before she spoke. 'Twas actually quite effective, and many times she sounded much more confident that way. Confidence was something she often willed herself to have. Shelly shivered lightly, realizing the morning was actually rather frosty. She had forgotten how chilly autumn could be.
She smiled lightly at the fact he forgot that. At least she wasn't the only Slytherin who forgot obvious things. Actually, as she thought about it, everyone forgot things. It was the way of dealing with it that made you a Slytherin and not a Hufflepuff. There was dignity involved.

on train

    Garrett suddenly stretched himself out as if he were bored, Juno had awoken a bit after the train had lurched into motion, she let a smile creep her lips but it didn't last when the ginger cat sprung out from Juno's lap and padded out of sight into the halls, "Oh God." the girl said with a moan before getting up, she did not spare a farewell to Cyrus nor Catherine for Garrett could be creeping out the closing train door's or something.

    Juno struggled her way through the corridors, cats would not respond to their names so there was no point in calling for him like some idiot.
    However Garrett had caught the scent of a rat, instinct drove him to Shelly and Kellen's compartment. The cat's brick red orbs stared at the black rat from the other side of the glass, once Shelly had returned to the compartment after changing the cat slid under the seats without being seen. Garrett watched the two carefully with unblinking eyes, but a thought nagged at the back of his head; he should have remained with Juno.
    During that time, a fellow seventh year boy had stopped Juno in her path; he asked her irrelevant questions to where her cat had gone, so she had to jinx him while he was in the middle of asking how her summer went without him. He toppled over stick still, Juno walked over him without a care, she had somehow messed up the jinx for she was in a hurry, but perfecting curses was not on her mind.
    Juno saw a small flash of Garret's ginger quill-like tail slip into a farther compartment. The girl made her way forward, her vibrant green eyes flashing with annoyance. When she saw who was in the compartment, she frowned but remained impassive, she knocked on the glass before opening it,
    "Sorry to disturb you," Juno said softly while looking around for a glimpse of fur, "a cat probably slipped in here."

      He had buttoned his shirt about half way up when he heard the distinct hissing of his ferret. "Arista? What are you-" he stopped talking when he noticed a cat had managed to make its way into his compartment. Kellen whistled, and Arista backed up toward him, still staring at the cat with hate burning in her eyes. The ferret must have been surprised when the cat slipped in, because she was usually accepting of other animals- at least partially.

      Kellen looked up at Juno as she walked in.
      "I believe so," he chuckled. The sixth year nodded to the corner where the ginger cat was. "There's your beast." He joked. Even if the girl was a Gryffindor, she was still gorgeous, so Kellen had the urge to flirt wildly.

    Shelly Robinson

    || Fourth Year ||Half-Blood || Slytherin || On the Train ||
    Shelly muttered something hard to make out, but probably not good as she dove to collect her rat. Alas, she couldn't see him. He had the tendency of disappearing at the moments when it would freak her the most.
    She stood to face the Gryffindor, hoping her face wasn't going red. The girl was pretty, she observed, and at least two years older than her. However, Shelly stood nearly as tall as the older witch.
    "Don't tell me your cat is in here." The fourth year's voice was hostile and tense. She had her wand out without even noticing what she was doing.
    Looking around, she whistled a low note. Colonel would sometimes come running, like a puppy, when she called. Unfortunately, this wasn't such a time.
    "How careless are you?" She hissed at the Gryffindor. "You know some people keep rats as pets, right?"http://www.chickensmoothie.com/archive/
    Without waiting for an answer, Shelly proceeded to look under the seats, hoping to find out that the cat didn't find Colonel yet. She moved calmly, knowing that going red in the face and overturning everything wasn't going to get her anywhere. Actually, by the point she checked most of the places a cat might hide, she was feeling cold and tart more than anything. And in the mood to kick a cat.

      Garrett reacted like any cat would, he had no problem with ferrets, on the contrary, they were more or less a very harder form of prey to catch. He leaped gracefully up onto the seat opposite of Arista, Juno gave Kellen a glance that lasted for two seconds at his remark before turning to Shelly and watching her struggling to find her rat without any change of expression on Juno's face,
      "Indeed," was the only thing Juno had said. She smirked humorously, careful to step over the fourth year, for she didn't feel like starting a fight when Garrett was already looking for one. Juno padded over to where Garrett was now, her wand was in her hand as well, but she stored it in her black jeans' pocket before Shelly had even whipped out hers.
      He was staring intensely at the ferret with his tail frizzed up and his claws digging into the seat. The rat was forgotten. These were one of his impossible moods. Juno gave a growl before slowly sitting down and wrapping her hands around the ginger cat's torso, immediately, Garrett responded with a nip. Juno did not cry out or made any reaction except slowly remove her hands; the cat would not be taken away in front of the ferret; it would be a show of weakness and possibly an abomination to his dignity.
      The seventh year narrowed her eyes and slowly sank into her seat with a sigh, she gave the ferret a look before crossing her arms over her chest. She did not have in memory at the moment what healing spell she had to conjure for the moment so she wiped off the small droplets of blood on her sweater's sleeve. Garrett had to stay with her or else he would be challenging every animal on the train and find out where Shelly's rat was hidden before the Slytherin did.
      "So," Juno said softly while jerking her head towards the green tie on Kellen's uniform,
      "Both Slytherins, that's nice." she said with the corner of her lip rising and her eyes glinting,
      "Hopefully I didn't disturb some ambitious dialogue." Juno said while turning her gaze down to where Shelly was with the casual and alluring smirk still displayed on her ravishing face. She was feeling particularly malicious at the moment, for her own cat had overpowered her and had had to make her stay in a compartment with Slytherins.
      Humiliating, really.

      I think I may have my slytherin do it.... I need a truly bitter/rude character to kind of be the "Draco" of our story. }

          kellen mercer . slytherin . sixth year
        He gently touched his hand on Arista's back. She just stayed still, not even flinching to his touch. Hopefully he would be able to calm her down before she attacked the cat and started more problems than he needed. A chuckle escaped his mouth as the girl remarked about him being a Slytherin. "No, darlin, all you interrupted was me dressing. If you want to interrupt again, I would be mighty fine with that. Unless the lion is scared of the basilisk," he teased.

        As he gently stroked Arista's back, she relaxed a bit, and halted her hissing. If the cat had not shocked her so much, chances are they would be more friendly than argumentative. Maybe the two animals could have even gone on a hunting trip and slaughtered a few toads. Now, that seemed like an impossible idea. Anything was possible, but not everything was plausible.

        "I think they might be on better terms now," he said. Finally given the chance, the older Slytherin finished buttoning up his shirt, and adjusted his tie. Once he was positive that his ferret was relaxed, at last to some point, he stood up and offered his hand to Juno. "I'm Kellen, by the way. And that little firecracker is Arista," he still spoke with his southern drawl, which he wouldn't lose until it was near the end of the year.

      side note: I accidentally wrote down that his patronus was a lion, because I was thinking about a different character. His patronus is a barracuda.
