the triwizard tournament is possibly the most challenging competition there is in the wizarding
world. but, if one wins the tournament, they will forever be glorified and written down in history.

but, this year, the cup chooses... four competitors from each school? three teams of four.
that's a first.

Meet Samantha Grey. Well, actually meet Sam. Samantha is the name for teachers and family when they are annoyed. Sam is the name for her when she is being herself. It is the name that she tells anyone she meets. She is proud of being female, but she isn't very girly, and therefore believes that Sam suites her better than Samantha.
In many ways, she is a typical hufflepuff. She trusts many people, and would die for her friends. If someone insults her, Sam will just ignore it. She doesn't get hurt by what other people think of her unless they are her best friends. However, if someone insults or tries to hurt one of her friends Sam will confront them angrily. Honesty is something she values greatly. She would rather someone tell her if she was being annoying or if they didn't like something about her, than for them to not say anything and just say something behind her back. When she wants something, she will work hard for it. Very hard. Sometimes she will become obsessed with being able to do a certain spell and will spend hours just trying to do it. Sometimes she will be alone but mostly she likes to be with her friends and other people.
As a witch, Sam is quite talented. She is best in transfiguration and care of magical creatures, but she still does well in most subjects. Her wand is dragon heartstring with cherry, a combination which needs someone with a strong mind and self-control. These are two qualities that Sam does have. Not many people know, but Sam is actually an animagus. Becoming an animagus was one of her obsessions, and she changes into a small wolf. Wolves are loyal and like being in a pack, and Sam likes being with her friends and would do anything to protect them.

Meet Davos Hale, from Durmstrang school. Everyone calls him Davos, his name has never been shortened down. Well, not for very long. Most people who nicknames him quite quickly finds themself on his bad side. If he lets someone give him a nickname than they are definitely special. This hasn't really happened so far, except with his little brother.
His personality can mainly be described with three words. Proud, bold and tough. He grew up in a pureblood family and as the rest of his family always acted proud, he grew up to be proud too. However, he does know his limits and knows that he isn't the best at many things. Davos doesn't feel at all nervous in any social situations and is good at getting along with people he doesn't know. This is because he is confident, and can easily keep a conversation going if he needs to. However, he only will keep a conversation going with someone if he finds them interesting. He won't speak to people he finds annoying or boring, he will just answer anything they say to him with one word responses or nothing. This Durmstrang student fits into his school quite well. He looks down on people that seem weak. He believes that the stronger people are superior than the weaker ones but thinks that bullying is cowardly even though it is normally the stronger wizards picking on the weak. Despite the fact that Davos is good-looking and confident, he isn't actually looking for a boyfriend or girlfriend. He just isn't interested, thinks it has no use at his age. He is attracted to both genders but will ignore if he gets a crush. From girls and boys, he would pick a boy to date rather than a girl.
In magic, Davos is relatively strong but his main talent isn't anything to do with magic. He is actually an extremely good fighter, mostly with no weapons but he can use everyday objects as weapons. Every day he exercises and practices so he has his talent almost perfected in many ways. All the time he moves as if he is ready to act and this is because of his training in fighting.
