I was born to a very French Aristocratic family. My father and mother were nobles and I have spent my whole life, since I was about 10 years old, in and around the court of the king and the Queen. After my seventeenth birthday, my father decided that I should be married, to a Duke no less. He was much older than I was, and for a while, I was rather happy. He treated me kindly, and hardly ever raised his voice or struck out at me. But he drank far too much, and often dreamed of lands across the sea. Though we tried he couldn't give me any children, much to my disappointment. I had so dearly hoped to be a mother. But about two and a half years after we married, he died, from a bad fall while riding. His will named me the heir of his home and most his lands, a rather generous offer, but with a stipulation. That I should remarry and produce and heir of my own. I have always greatly admired the Duke of Burgandy, and have always found him quite handsome.

As for me, I was born in London somewhere. No real specific memories of the place. My father was a ship's carpenter and wasn't really around home a lot. When he was, he'd show me how to use his tools, and we'd make little wooden ships together. But one year he went off on a trip and never came back. From the look on Ma's face, he probably went down with a ship. Still I find the sea fascinating. I'm not a strong reader, but I'd like to learn more about it. Gets you called a bookworm after a while, so most of the time I try and figure things out on my own, rather than asking questions. Boy does that lead to some trouble. That's where I got the name Seaweed. Mostly cause I'm skinny, and that I decided one trip that seaweed was not only fun to fling at the crew mates, but an excellent substitute for other slimy foods. I like to make people laugh, and often end up pulling jokes to try and get a laugh out of someone, anyone.
