History
Bethany's childhood is a sap story. Born to a jobless mother and a underpaid mechanic, they had a apartment in the "creep" part of town, but through the cooking summers and the cold winters their lives were never boring. Beth remembered her parent's friends coming over every other day for some kind of celebration. They were colorful people, always telling stories about their visits with other places and its inhabitants. Her father's brother loved coming over and giving Beth little presents like colored pencils and crayons. In fact, he owned a little tattoo parlor in New Orleans. It wasn't one of the famous ones that every walked past late at night after drinking a few to many, it was in the better part of the city where rebel teenagers got tiny tattoos they could hide from their parents. Beth loved the place, the whole atmosphere of it made her feel right at home. When Beth was 15, her artistic skills were pretty notable. Her art teachers hung up all of her artwork and even sent them to fairs to have them judged. Her father's brother offered her an apprenticeship when she was 18 at the shop and she couldn't say no. Both parents were proud of her when she went off to live above the tattoo parlor. Since she didn't have a car, she could only visit them on the weekends and through the summer.
It was great. The apartment above the parlor didn't have heat but the structure of the building made it livable in the summer and she bought plenty of blankets when her uncle paid her for doing little chores here and there. The first day on the job went great, a big guy came in looking for a horsemen tattoo and Beth got to do it start from finish. The guy was knocked off his feet impressed, telling them that he would get the word round about their shop. When Beth was 21, the shop was moving closer in to the fun part of town. Every night there would be a boat load of people wanting a tattoo. From tiny hearts to giant landscapes she would ink it all on the bodies of strangers. She was probably the best in town if she didn't say so herself. The best part of this, is that she was getting paid full time and they had plenty of business to make it worth her time. Her parents lived a few streets away, Beth had enough money saved up that she bought them a small apartment that didn't leak or get to hot. Her father did part time at the shop and got paid pretty good for a receptionist. Beth couldn't be happier.
Personality
Beth is pretty outgoing, being around vibrant people didn't give her time to be shy. She's easy to get along with and she loves talking to new people. When she comes across a issue involving other people she's the first to say she's sorry. Although she is easygoing, she is very stubborn. If she sees something she wants she will try hard to get what she wants. Beth's emotions are simple, she won't try to be something she's not and she'll be determined to prove she's worth something.
Sometimes Beth has a low self esteem and her energy is drained by it. When she's hit by the feeling, she won't talk to anyone and she puts herself down. It only lasts a few days until she's working her way back to being her normal self. Struggling financially as a little girl she found herself always questioning herself and that trait seemed to follow her.
