As the bird shrieked again, Orpheus' ears flicked back, not liking the abuse he was putting them through. The neko gave a soft, mutter that sounded suspiciously like a growl, his tail giving a lash. "Relax, relax." He repeated softly. "Im getting out of here, soon enough. I'll help." He looked curiously at Lena, whom was trying to reassure them. He watched her carefully, before he spoke.
"You know, we can understand you. And you can open the door. If I have it right, it should be the keys the head scientist wears round his belt. The guards I can take care of easy." He almost cooed, watching her quietly. He could tell she felt guilty about this, and so knew if he played this right, he might just get both himself and the bird girl out. He gave the human girl a feral grin, trying-and failing a little-to be comforting. After being in many labs, he had learnt the language of the humans well.
