As the years went by and the hype of these 'flying bird kids' died down, the flock made themselves home all together in Wichita, Kansas. It was a long run of pickpocketing, credit card fraud and earning their money in a respectful manner--by getting jobs.

While everything seems to be going great, they still have their own personal problems.

The on-and-off again relationship between Max and Fang is driving everyone up the wall. One day, the two are the best of friends. Other days they want to tear out each others throats. They've got to settle on what they want to do. Where they're going to go with it. Should they worry about their own well-being or their happiness together? At least some things stayed the same.

The careers of Iggy and Nudge have taken off. Following his passion for food, Iggy got himself a job at a local restaurant as one of the chefs. But he wants to aim higher. Run his own place. Create his own menus. Think about finally leaving the flock to start new again in his own way with his girlfriend, Ella. On the other hand, Nudge followed Max's suggestion of becoming a model. The life is extremely difficult between the demand to always be bigger, better; as well as the fact that any clothes that could remotely reveal her wings are a no-no. It doesn't help that she's got a not-so-faithful, normal, human boyfriend to deal with too.

And then it's down to the siblings. Gazzy and Angel are both attending school, with Gaz in his last year, and Angel in her tenth. Gaz's problem is finding out just what he's going to do after high school. He's still young. He's got a whole life ahead of him. But he's got to start questioning whether his best friend, not from the best family and never making good choices, is dragging him down. Meanwhile Angel, at the midst of her teenage years, is starting to discover relationships of her own. Sexuality's a big topic at school. Who likes who, who's into what. This is her chance to uncover the real her.
