long ago lived four major groups of shifters. the reptiles, the cats, the dogs, and the birds. They flooded the earth, each in their own body living a normal life. only coming out when needed. as years went on more and more shifters were being exposed. more people saw them shift in front of them, frightening them. Soon the government created a secret force to hunt down these species and kill them. by this time most shifters were gone and dead. the government was happy and shut down the program, positive they were all gone. not another one to be seen in the united states. but little did they know only a couple dozen still live. by the year 2013 there are now only three. each best friends and always watching out for one another. not trusting a single soul. scared that they are there to kill them.

the tiger is second in charge. looking out for her friend the scared one and the fox. tiger and wolf have been friends from the start and has felt their friend relationship grow. but she sees him with the quiet one so often she gave up. feeling the friendship is kinda leaving them. She then met the shy one and he is a pretty cool dude. she treats him like one of the shifters as a close buddy. and she might be having second thought with building a friendship with him instead of the wolf

Personality:
-- Laka is a pretty shy girl, honestly. She doesn't tend to talk
a lot to other, new, people. She has a small, very small, set
group of friends that she'll actually reply to, but something.
that is pretty cute is that she stutters a little bit, which that
stems from her being shy and nervous around people, but it
is pretty cute to see never the less. That is just how
she always has been. She has been then quiet girl from the day
she was born, literally. She didn't really cry a lot when she was
a baby. But then again, there are much different sides to Laka.
She isn't always this shy girl, though normally she is, out in public.
But inside, when she is comfortable with the people around her and
she feel completely safe, she is a very happy, smiley, joker, sweet-
hearted girl that would do anything for her small amount of friends.
She figures that they are the only thing she cares about in the world,
so why not try and be the best she can possibly be for them, who wouldn't
think that? Laka is a pretty naive girl, always she wouldn't think about things,
things that could possibly hurt her in the end. Some call her dumb, but she
tended to do this on purpose. She didn't want to see the evil in the world,
that scared her, to death. She didn't want to think of what people
would do to others and any bad really. Most people think of her
being dumb, when in all reality, she is pretty smart.
Past:
--Unlike most believe, She doesn't really have the best past.
She doesn't like to talk about it either. It started from a
young age. Her mother left her and her father, Which
literally killed her father on the inside. With her father
not really there, he was always drunk, she basically
raised herself. She doesn't tell anyone about this,
not even her closet friends. They might suspect something,
but she would never rat her father out on the fact that he would
hit her from time to time. You see, when she was younger, she
thought it was okay, every dad did that to their daughter.
Until she reached middle school and that's when things
became more apparent to her, she's always been that
naive little girl. But through all of this, she is still pretty
nice, sweet girl. Like nothing ever went wrong with her.
That's how she likes it, being nice, even if she is a little
to shy to be nice to everyone.

General Description; Melody is a gorgeous young woman. Tall and lithe, she has smooth ivory skin and a freckled, heart-shaped face. Her hair falls several inches past her shoulders in large corkscrew curls. It is a rich, auburn-red color streaked with lighter auburn and gold highlights so that it appears darker in some places and lighter in others. Her face, button nose, and arms are covered in a light dusting of freckles that cause her gem green eyes to simply pop! Her eyes are wide, emerald green in color and flecked with gold and amber specks, surrounded in thick dark lashes that make them stand out even more. The gold and amber flecks cause them to appear almost like newly turned leaves in the fall in certain light. Her skin is almost completely unblemished by pimples and scars. The biggest blemish she has is located on her belly. On her belly there are threw long claw marks from an attack a few years ago. Other than that, she is flawless. History; Melody Winters was born December 19th in a hospital in Paris, France. The first five years of her life were peaceful ones. Her older brothers doted upon her. Five year old Chris was the youngest, and the one she was closest too. Seven year old twins Ben and David were the troublemakers who always taught her how to have fun and get into mischief. And finally, eleven year old Mitchell was the calm, responsible one who taught her the wonders of life. When Melody was five, her little sister Amelia came along and they were packed up and moved to Washington, where their parents bought a large ranch and settled them in. melody instantly showed a love of animals; especially horses. Her parents bought several horses, including a Gypsy Vanner mare named Rosie. Melody instantly fell in love with Rosie. The pair was inseparable. She was Melody’s first horse. Together, the mare and child blossomed. Melody became a skilled rider and began entering a few junior competitions. When Rosie passed away, Melody got Gypsy’s Light for her birthday. The young Filly was a handful to say the least, but she and melody quickly bonded as well and when they began training, they proved to be an unbeatable team. Along with her riding, Melody excelled in the arts. Sketching, music, and dancing came naturally to her. She had a keen eye for beauty and could tell a story through dance or her music, even without words. When Melody was twelve, tragedy struck. Riding Gypsy one day in the woods, they were attacked by a cougar. Gypsy managed to get away unscathed but Melody was severely injured and very nearly died. It scarred the young girl, and she hasn’t gone near an animal ever since. The Winters’ had to give up their collection of pets, all except the horses which Melody simply steered clear of. She is still prone to nightmares of the attack.
Likes/Dislikes; Melody loves to dance. It makes her feel so free and alive. She loves to sing and play the guitar and piano. She loves driving to rural places and sketching the scenery. She loves her friends and she loves to hang out, go to the movies, and just have a good time. She doesn't like animals, cold, or remembering the past. She tries to block out the past and focus on the future. She hates thunderstorms, small spaces, spiders, and swimming.
