Cornix was busy trying to sooth the girl with the dove wings, when a rather brash and bullheaded girl came in and insulted him. He was tired, confused, and afraid, and now angry because of this other girl. He turned to look at her, and fixed her with a cold glare, "I'd watch it, princess. We're all in the same boat, none of us know what's going on, or what's happened. So pull your head out of the clouds, and shut up unless you can shine a light on the pressing matter." Cory didn't shout, but his tone was quiet and full of rage, his gray eyes helped prove his point. Without realising it, as he went on about how the girl should be careful about what she said, his wings stretched outward and rose up, much like birds did when they tried to look threatening. If he had feathers, they would've been ruffled.

Nic sauntered into the room where the others resided. Catching their conversation from the hallway, he raised his eyebrows. "No reason to get your panties in a knot, there, sweetheart," Dominic teased. An arrogant attitude dominated his interactions, though he was only concealing his confusion.
Dominic's wings were temporarily folded close to his back. He didn't dare move a muscle. The tiniest twitch would send them uncontrollably smashing into the others. "I may be a moron, but I'm definitely not a psychopath," Nic continued, sure that this girl would despise him for the entirety of the time they would be forced to spend together.

Lila raked a slender hand through delicate blonde curls in a single graceful motion, staring at the boy's ebony wings. "Bit dramatic don't you think?" As if a switch had been flipped, her attitude turned from terrified fury to frustrated apathy, as she propped a manicured hand on her hip. Her wings had folded themselves gracefully across her back, but tension ran through her entire stance. "Do not threaten me." She canted her head to the side, the venomous scowl shifting to a patronizing smile that parted to reveal pearly white -fangs-teeth. Her free hand curled into a fist as she heard yet another male voice,cockier than the boy before her, behind her.
"Don't call me sweetheart," she growled stiffly. Refusing to humor him with even a glance, she shoved her way past the doe-eyed girl toward the opposite wall, falling, delicately, into a couch of deep violet. Crossing her legs, she took in the small group before, noting each of their wings. Stubbornly, she fought to crack a smile at the boy's second words.

Leanne heard a voice coming from a hallway near her, and she stopped crying for a moment, listening. Her hand went to her arrows instinctively, out of fear. Her wings tightened, and she clenched her teeth. Getting used to these new wings and sensations was going to take her a very long time, regrettably. She stood up, shakily, as a blond boy emerged, with glistening black crow's wings. Just like her and the other girl. A frail smile spread across her face as she stiffened her legs.
"I-I'm Leanne," she said shyly, sniffling as she stepped toward the boy. She decided that she could trust him. Because after all, he went out of his way to try and comfort her, didn't he? Maybe he knew what had happened to her. "D-Do you know where I am? Where...we are?" Suddenly she heard footsteps, and a boy with messy charcoal hair stepped in, with the massive toasty brown wings of a golden eagle. Another gasp rose in her throat, as an angry looking girl with styled wavy blonde hair marched in, spewing angry words. She felt fear, at first, and then anger.
"W-we don't know," Leanne stuttered forcefully, taking a step forward. "N-none of us did this to you, I'm sure. L-let's just t-try and f-figure this out, okay?" She could feel tears start to come on again, and her vision blurred with tears again. "L-look, I'm tired and confused and terrified, too. I j-just wanna figure this out." Tears started to run down her face again, and her knees knocked together. Her wings folded against her back and circled around her, somewhat shielding her, as her shoulders hunched in.

The tall, lean boy with fair hair glared at the girl who had charged in so rudely as she bounced over to the couch in the middle of the room. His gaze softened and went to the other girl who seemed to be having an emotional breakdown, and he took a step towards her, but stopped his advance when her wings went up. "I'm sorry, Leanne, but I don't know where we are just quite yet." Cory watched her for a moment, unsure of what to do. He wasn't sure if she wanted to be held for reassurance, or if she just wanted to be left alone so he stood there. "It'll be okay. Why don't you sit down for a moment, and I'll look around. See if there is anything I can find that will let me know where we are."
He tried to smile at her, but it came out as a pained smirk of some sorts. Cory then looked around the room for another hallway, or maybe a door that would lead him somewhere useful. He let out a sigh, and rolled his shoulders and flexed his wings, before folding them back up on his back.

Leanne nodded silently, unfurling her wings again so that they were once again behind her. Taking a deep breath, she steadied herself, gripping her bow for reassurance. Her eyes closed tightly for a moment, shut in a long blink and in the sliver of hope that this was just a dream. But she opened her eyes and Cory was still there, a forced smile on his face. "I-I think I'm fine," she said uncertainly, taking a wobbly step. She shook her head, as if clearing all the thoughts in her head. All that she needed to know was that she needed to find where she was so she could get home.
"I can come with you," She offered, tossing her hair back behind her and tightening her shoulder blades, making her wings contract against her back. "Besides, I'm armed, so if anyone or anything tries to ... I dunno," she thought for a minute, her mind beginning to wander a little. "Anyways, I'm pretty good at archery anyways." She took a step towards Cory and flashed a glare at the other girl with the wings of a ... swan, she presumed. "You coming?" she asked the other two. Turning around, and still shaking like a leaf, she surveyed her surroundings. The room was large, and there were several other passageways leading to other rooms, she guessed? The place seemed massive, like a mansion. There were no mansions near where she lived, so it must be far from her home. Taking a shaky breath, she shook her head again. "Is anyone else there?" she called softly into the house. Her voice echoed.

Cory's searching eyes found themselves on Leanne again as she offered to come with him. He pursed his lips, trying to think of a reason why she couldn't come, and none came to mind. When she mentioned that she was armed with arrows, the boy doubted she would use them, but didn't question her. "Of course. Thank you for your help." Cory didn't wait to see if she followed, but he started down the hallway opposite of which he had come from. His plain canvas shoes clicked lightly against the marble flooring of the place of which the party was housed in. He looked the hallways up and down for clues of where he might be, maybe a picture or a painting of someone, or even a window that would show him the outside. No such luck though, and he continued to walk down the hallways, searching for something that may or may not be there.

Holding her head in her hands, Lila didn't bother looking up as the whimpering dove was finally calmed. There was a slight pause and she supposed that the younger girl was speaking to her when offering to come along. "Gee, do you really mean that I get to hang out with the cool kids?" She chimed sarcastically, clasping her hands together. "Thanks, but no thanks. I don't feel like getting shot by an emotionally unstable child." She replied rising to her feet. The mansion was old, a stark contrast to the sleek and modern penthouses of her own neighborhood. Old Wealth, she decided, glancing around.

Her long white wings had flexed as she stood, arching into a stretch as her joints tensed before replacing themselves neatly folded against her back. She stole an accusatory glare at them, though couldn't help but admire their likeness to a swan's wings. Like Angel wings. "The irony.." she muttered with a wry laugh.

It was strange. Whoever, or whatever her confused mine thought, had brought her here had actually been... considerate. Two long slits appeared to have been cut in the back of her shirt and the sofa she'd been lain on was very comfy. Why would someone kidnap her and than do this? And why would someone give her wings? There were more and more questions she wanted to ask. With a sigh, she slowly tried to close her wings. It worked after a few seconds, until a noise caused her to twist round, the grey wings spreading out again wide at her shock.
She wasn't the only one here.
Quickly, at a steady jog, she went out of the room, looking left and right. Another sound came and she followed it again. Soon she came round a corner and saw people. Not one person, or two, but four. And all of them had wings. Both the girls had white wings, but the boys had different colours. One a golden brown and the other black as night.
"Hello," Sam said, nervously running her fingers through her pixie cut with her eyes turned down. Her slate wings hung loosely by her side. "Do any of you know anything about... this?" she said, lifting up her head and gesturing to her own wings.

Nic's folded wings seemed to be more cumbersome that one might imagine. They added extra weight to his shoulders that Dominic was not accustomed to supporting. Additionally, the limbs didn't unconsciously fold nicely and stay put. It was like newly becoming aware of an extension of himself, an extension that needed to be maintained. The wings weren't an independent system, like the beat of a heart.
Dominic turned as he heard someone approaching down the hallway. He didn't display it, but he was startled for a moment before a girl appeared. Her hair was styled with a pixie cut, and Nic noticed her to be slightly shorter than himself. However, the girl's most obvious feature was the pair of slate gray wings that drooped from her shoulders. Raising his eyebrows, Dominic turned his attention from her and instead fixed down the hallway that Cornix and Leanne had departed into. "Yo, guys," he rose his hand to cup one side of his mouth and shouted, "we have an addition to the club!" The teen held out his hand, shimmering brown wings confidently folded as if they'd been there his whole life. It's Nic," he said, simply.
