Lucifer chewed heavily on his cheek, clenching and unclenching his jaw. Come on! He mentally yelled at himself. It wasn't that hard a question to answer. A simple yes or no. He did it all the time to why was this any different? The boy squared off, making his decision. "Sure. Let's go." he agreed, standing and heading for the door before he could change his mind.

Rowan smiled, suddenly feeling quite flirtatious as he watched Sophia. "So..." he began trying to come up with another topic, wanting to continue talking to this fascinating girl. "Do you do anything else for fun? Other than gymnastics?" he asked, gripping tightly now to the shoulder strap of his backpack. Maybe he could meet up with her again sometime later on... Not a bad idea.

"Great!" Zoe said, picking up her backpack and slinging it over her bird-boned shoulder. She rushed ahead of him and opened the double doors, holding them open for him. "My car is right there." she pointed to the white infiniti parked in the practically deserted back parking lot.

Lucifer clenched his jaw, taking a deep breath as he broke out of the school and onto the pavement. No turning back. Be a man. Lucifer nodded and kept walking following her gesture until he reached her car. The boy refused to look back incase he felt a sudden inability to do this. For now, he stood, patiently waiting for Zoe in tense silence.

Zoe was aware of the tension rolling off of him in waves. She briefly considered turning back, she didn't want to force him into anything. "You sure about this?" she asked, leaning on the hood of her car, looking him in the eyes. He was much taller than her, and she had to tilt her head back to view his cobalt oculars.

Lucifer glanced down at Zoe, wavering for a moment before nodding. "Yeah, I'll get over myself. My mom doesn't have to know." he mumbled, breaking eye contact again as he found sudden interest in his own feet. "Let's head over to the park then, shall we?"

"oh god, if my dad found out..." She trailed off then brightened again. "They don't hafta know!"

Blaise grinned at Chase, feeling warm and fuzzy inside when he wrapped his arm around her waist. She started laughing when he teased her, joking about how she better be the prettiest girl on the team. "Well, that's for you to decide, isn't it?" She winked at her boyfriend and continued walking down the hall with him. It was a slow but steady pace and she felt right at home around Chase. She recalled with amusement how they had first met. He had been checking out cheerleaders from the football field bleachers and she had been lounging about doing nothing and bored out of her mind. Somehow, they had ended up going to the beach together, where they had their first date. Blaise had originally thought the relationship had moved too fast, and that Chase wasn't really right for her. He honestly was not her type at all, considering she had only ever dated jocks before, being a sporty and athletic girl herself. However, Chase proved to be her coolest relationship yet, probably because he was so different. Unlike the brutish jocks, Chase had a unique, if not weird, sense of humor and a personality that fit well with Blaise's. It seemed like the perfect match. "You up for cutting school, or do you like your next class?"

Chase considered her question with a pensive pause. "I think I'd rather have my teeth pulled out than go to calculus. Let's go." He grabbed her hand and headed towards the end of the hallway, where an exit sign blinked merrily. "But we have to be back in time for your practice. Where should we go?" He asked.

Blaise grinned at Chase and considered for a moment. "I don't know. We could just go for a drive. Or maybe the movies? You like the beach, don't you? It's really up to you." She glanced at a clock on the wall. "We have a couple of hours. My practice is after school." Blaise's favorite part about their relationship was how relaxed it was. It was a carefree, laid-back sort of thing, but they obviously both still cared for each other. It was a nice change for once, especially since her ex-jock-boyfriends tended to get jealous very easily.
