GAME OVER

The words flash at you, plain white over a black abyss. You sigh, leaning back in your chair. That's the third time tonight you've died on a fairly simple course. You spin in your chair, eyes closed, as you press the ENTER button, bringing you back to your headquarters, one of the only safe places in the game.
Suddenly, something peculiar starts to happen. A tingling starts in your fingers, quickly moving up your arms. It's spreading to your legs, into your torso. You leap from the chair, on the verge of panic. Your body is becoming lighter and lighter, and a ringing starts in your ears. A bright white starts to fill the edges of your vision, and suddenly, everything is white.
Then, silence. You look around, not trusting your vision.
You must accept the impossible.
You are in the game.

THE GAME
The game was introduced to you. Through a friend, the internet, or simple browsing. It's different for everyone. It looked simple enough, another one of those fantasy RPG games that get all the hype. This one was called Adventures in Elberor. It featured your customizable character as the main hero, going on quests, freeing the land of Elberor from the evil of Lord Caracol, a warlock, and his spies. Lord Caracol planned to overthrow the peaceful harmony of Elberor in preference of his tyranny, bringing the magical land to it's knees.
On the other side of the spectrum, the good of Membren, the council of mixed races, looked upon their peaceful land with a fair hand of justice.
But now, the six members, each of a different race, have been kidnapped. It is up to you to rescue them, and stop Caracol!

the fairy - open
fairies come in many flavors. they can be tricky and sly, or giggly and happy. fairies are around two feet in height, thin, light and willowy, with wings upon their backs. fairies can walk or fly. they can make themselves temporarily invisible, and move very quietly. fairies, however, have a weakness of any type of currency.
the human - open
fairly basic in abilities, humans excel in stamina and swordplay, humans are well-rounded, mediocre in just about anything. humans are farmers and hunters, traders and gatherers. they come in many shapes and sizes.
however, more than any other race, humans succumb to the temptation of riches and fame, often through nefarious strategies.
the elf - reserved for elvish
elves are graceful and lithe, long-lived and beautiful. they are tall, averaging six feet. they live quietly in their peaceful wooden glens, trading or hunting. their archery is talked about everywhere, and elvish bows are the best in the land. however, elvish bones break easily, and their thinness comes with a price: strength.
the dwarf - open
dwarves are short and stout (not a teakettle). they average three feet in height, with thick, strong bones and kind hearts. they are miners, and have an ability to find nearby gems and minerals much, much faster than any other race. because of their mining abilities, they have long since had an alliance with the fairies, giving them gold in trade for fairy goods.
the ogre - open
stereo-typically brutish and dumb, ogres are very tall, maybe seven feet in heights. with two bighorn ram horns curling around their skull, and dark grey skin, ogres are the boons of society. they have often been used as mercenaries, because of their incredible endurance and strength.
the magician - open
with magic flowing in their veins, magicians are a member of another race, with the spark of magic in their veins. generally magicians are humans, but a large percentage are dwarves and elves. a magician, outwardly, looks like it's regular race, except for eyes of a very vibrant hue.
as far as magic goes, most magicians have to utter something while accessing their magic, even if it is simply a mantra. they tire easily, unfortunately, as magic drains strength.

THE BAD GUY
ah, Lord Caracol. such a lost cause. he started out as a simple human wizard, and is now the boon of society. he began as a small child, just a human boy, living in the outskirts of the country.
