


people believe there is the option of going to an asylum if you are diagnosed with a mental illness. others believe you would be better off in a hospital that specializes with such things. however, most forgot about the better option - the one where you're still treated like a human being and are not strictly there to get "better". these places are called a group home. a home to six kids each - usually the amount within each group home. they can range from being physically disabled, mentally disabled, and can come from a broken home. and, that is exactly what this is about: you're in a group home. you go to school, you work, you read books. some of you are new, tyrell and carter, and the rest have been there for quite awhile - benjamin being the longest resident there and in his last year of high school. then we have samantha, a freshman, who has been there since she was thirteen. this would be sterling's second year here and his best buddy, julicia, has been there for a year and is also in her senior year.
