there were signs. the scientist picked up the first one long before anyone acknowledged it.
global warming was just some fantasy. or perhaps it was just part of nature; an occurrence
that would pass just as quickly as it had appeared. it was nature's cycle. nothing to worry
over.


but it wasn't just some fantasy.


it took them another 33 years to realize.


the year is 2046.
planet earth is still standing,
but only just.

the population is estimated at about 7,000,000.
that's one / one-thousandth of the last confirmed population of planet earth,
before they left us.

temperature's rose and fell.
global warming got worse.
crops were scarce.
there was always too much water, or not enough.
most people starved.
or fell victim to extreme weather.
earthquakes got stronger, and more frequent.
tsunami's, heat-waves, floods.
and yet, we kept fighting.

radio is the only thing we have to keep in contact with each other.
we make use of what we have;
batteries and hand powered generators.
fire to cook, and whatever we can find to eat.

I always thought the apocalypse would be more like a movie;
zombies, and heroes who came to save the day.
but that's not what happened.

they all left us; the rich, the famous and the influential.
everyone else was left to rot;
on a planet falling to pieces.

okay, rule number one regards literacy.
I was at least 5 lines for a post. That is the absolute minimum, including writing-block.
I would appreciate 7 lines, and anything above that is wonderful. Please, let me be clear
that if you cannot write more than five lines then you are not suited for this role-play.
Warnings will be allocated for those who do not comply.

rule number two regards reservations & forms.
In regard to reservations, they must be messaged to me, and you will have 48 hours
following your reservation to message me your form. I would like to see simple, short
forms. I would like just the general information and maybe a bit of a personality. There
is no need for anything particularly long, or extravagant; keep it short and sweet.
These forms must be messaged to me, and I may require a writing sample depending on
who you are.

rule number three regards posting.
I would really like to see some pretty posts. Size 85 font is preferred, and some kind of
text alignment is general more visual appealing. Colors and titles are always wonderful,
but bear in mind that fontmeme and links are not permitted in general posts.

Please be civilized, ladies and gentlemen. Let's channel all of the drama into our role-playing
and keep it out of OOC, and the like. Please be polite to one another, respect and be respected.
Please try and make sure everybody is included; which shouldn't be too hard as character
numbers are fairly few. If someone asks for a recap, please give it to them; however, if you've
only missed two or three pages, then maybe you should just read through it.
