I was sitting atop the large shelves in the library the Beast had given me. It's been around three month since I woke up in this prison, at least in fairy tale days. Wearing jeans and a T-shirt, I was an odd site in a library this fancy. I had become friends with the wardrobe, which still sounds weird, so it was easy to get he clothes I wanted. As for the books... They were all old; but still a good read.
"Will you just come down?" Beast asked, looking up at me reading my books. I ignored him and turned the page in my book. "Can you just tell me why you're up there?"
"I'll come down when you give me what I want. Besides, I like this book." I replied, still not looking away from the yellow pages.
"I gave you food, clothes, a room; heck, I even gave you this library! What more could you want!"
"I want my freedom, Beast!" I put my book don, and turned to face him.
"Remember what happened last time you were out of the castle, Belle? The wolves?"
"That was your fault, and I told you, it's Evana, not Belle!" Okay, okay, I'm stubborn. A knock sounded at the huge wooden door. The sound echoed through the whole castle.
"Just, come down, okay?" I crossed my arms and held my chin high as he went to get the door. Soon after, Gaston walked into the library.
"I've come to save you, my love! I've come to save you, so you can have the gift of being with me!" He called up, smiling. Beast trailed behind.
"Can you just go, I'm trying to talk to her." Beast seemed annoyed as he tried to push Gaston away, though the intruder only waved him off.
"Oh, how could I ever resist an obnoxious jerk like you, Gaston?" I replied sarcastically, smiling.
"I know, I'm irres- wait what?" Gaston still seemed confused as to why I didn't love him, though I've explained it numerous times.
"Just go!" Beast roared. Gaston rolled his eyes and left the castle, slamming the grand door behind him. I started to read my book again, an ignored Beast as he rambled on and on. Our arguing was a daily thing. I wanted my freedom, and he wanted me to stay put. A lovely tragedy indeed. Though a few books were harmed in the process of flying from the top of the bookshelf to Beast's head, nothing much went on. So now, I'm stuck in a castle with an idiot who won't let me go, and a constant visitor who refuses to get over me. Strange story.
